The Plant Of A Pipeline
Introduction
Pigging is a critical activity in the commissioning and operation of a pipeline; oil, gas, water or
otherwise. For flow assurance the pipeline needs to be cleared of debris and checked for defects,
tasks pigs were designed for. The pig needs a method of entering and exiting the pipeline, so a
mobile or fixed launcher and receiver are utilised depending on the exact requirements.
Pig Launching and Receiving Basics
A pig launcher and receiver, also known as a pig trap, are equipment designed to pump in the pig
through the pipeline system and to retrieve the pig at the end of the operation. They can be mobile
(pigging of construction section) or fixed in the pipeline system. The location of the launcher is
located at the upstream end of the pipeline system, near the pump or compressor, while the receiver
is at the end of the system.
The launcher can be installed in a horizontal, vertical or inclined position. Most are installed
horizontally to ease the operation and it is therefore the most preferable. However, due to space
limits, vertical or incline pig traps are often considered. The launcher, receiver and all related
equipment are designed, manufactured and tested according to the pipeline and vessel code
standards e.g.; NACE, ASME VIII, BS 5500, ANSI, ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, etc.
A pig trap is essential to get a potential result of product saving. It means that there is no
requirement for adding an extensive line flushing as the pig cleaned out the

Analysis Of The Imposter
The Imposter made in 2012, is a film tale that follows the chronicles of Frederic Bourdin, a con
artist, who managed to trick an unsuspecting family into believing he was a long lost relative. Bart
Layton directed this documentary and uses unconventional techniques to unravel this complicated,
unbelievable story.
2) What are some of the themes that are central to the film? How have they been communicated?
Bart Layton built this doc not from one perspective, but from a collection of them. Some stories,
like The Imposter need a panoptic approach to connect the audience to the film. The themes of
manipulation, identity and love are the main themes conveyed by Layton. These themes are
communicated through sounds and visual imagery. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
8) What is the tone or feeling of the film and what is its impact?
Bart Layton uses a wide variety of techniques and devices to convey the emotional tone of the
documentary. The constant change of character s perceptions and slow unraveling of mysteries
caused inpatient viewers wanting more. The documentary was designed to reflect on the antihero,
FrГ©dГ©ric Bourdin s past. The Imposter uses reenactments and interviews to unfold a murky feel,
where truth and fiction morph in an enchanting double helix. Bart Layton highlights Bourdin s life
rather than focusing on Nicholas Barclay. With so many different feelings flooding the audience at
once, Layton allows time for the audience to reflect and find conclusions for the unsolved mystery.
Suspicion is raised from the beginning of the film, but shifts to various players as the film unfolds.
The imposter himself, has a simultaneously engaging and repellant personality. Bourdin s audacity
in impersonating a missing American child is breathtaking. The fact that he fooled the Barclay
family and the FBI is beyond comprehension. It is this tone of incredulity that Layton expertly
manipulates in the viewer. Who to trust? Who is telling the truth? What happened to Nicholas?
Where is this missing child?
The dramatic tone of the film has only one lighthearted moment. The drive from Dallas Airport,
shot in bright light with

Experiment 1; Diuretic activity of a single dose of the plant extracts and furosemide
Oral administration of a single dose of Cistus ladaniferus L. or Silybum marianum L. extract

controls 1.16 В± 0.18 mL; P 0.001) (Figure 1). Higher urine output was continued throughout the
study period, and it was significantly high at 24 h after the administration of either plants` extracts

The diuretic activity of Silybum Mariamum L. was higher than that of furosemide or Cistus
landaniferus L. In addition, both plants increased urinary excretion of sodium, potassium and
creatinine and the effect of Silybum marianum L. was higher than that of furosemide or Cistus
landaniferus L.. Interestingly, both plants did not cause changes in the plasma sodium or potassium
while furosemide caused hypokalemia. These findings are important since both plants might have a
potential to be used as a future diuretics without hypokalemia which is a common finding with use
of current diuretics such loop diuretics or hydrochlorothiazide. Because there was no effect of the
plants` extract on plasma electrolytes and plasma osmolarity, it might be suggested that the active
principle(s) in both plants may has/have a potassium sparing effect. Furthermore, both plants
increased creatinine clearance and studying their effect in kidney failure might explore their
potential to help increasing creatinine clearance or ameliorating acute/chronic kidney

Undertaking Poem Annotated
The poem, Undertaking describes the loss of a women s husband. The wife cleans and treats her
loved one s body as if it is still alive. But she realizes the death, until his body is taken away and
not treated with the love she gave him. Even though her husband has passed away, the speaker
seems to still have a relationship with him through the description of her delicate treatment
towards him. The relationship between the wife and husband is still alive. Through the
description of the poem we see that the wife does not see her husband as a dead body. She treats
her husband s body as something alive that feels every touch. In the middle of the first stanza,

Lucid Dreamer
I am a lucid dreamer. The dream is like an image in person s mind. I often dream of perusing my
goals. It is a powerful tool that guides me always. My parents always encourage me to dream and
think life in a visual image that helps me to move forward. However, sometimes I fail toward my
dreams and fall down. Eventually, I defeat all sarcastic situations with the help of courage that I get
from my Parents, Professors, and Friends. I like to be a visual thinker. Going to another gathering
of individuals is dependably somewhat alarming, and most would fear an exchange to a place
where they have hardly any colleagues, however I am sure of my capacity to mix in with the
campus community and make an important commitment and contribution.

Advantages Of Virtual Teams
To qualify to be a virtual team, either some or all team members would not be physically in the
same location. This doesn t necessarily mean that they are not in the same country or city, more
about whether they meet each other physically on a daily basis. Even though they don t have to be,
most of virtual teams are across countries.
Motivation to work in virtual teams: Half own choice and half the context in which the job is
placed in.
Personal motivation and advantages of the team: One can access different expertise and capabilities
across the country/continent, which one might not have access to within the office or location.
Also, Sometimes there is gain in efficiency. Yet, there is also a lack in efficiency around the fact that

The main challenges is to adapt the communication, how to adapt their performance management
which each individual depending on the culture.
For newer generations (people who have already worked abroad have been used to work in cross
cultural teams) adapting to different cultures is done automatically and common sense. One knows
a bit of cultural dimensions of each of the countries and one is familiar with the working styles of
other countries so can one can adapt a little bit, when interacting with them.
For people who have been only within a British business with British people for a long period of
time, this common sense is less. They have to force themselves to adapt to change the
communication style and to change how they measure performance. This is one of the main
challenges.
When these people manage virtual teams, they often try to flatten /level the differences of the team
members. This usually leads to the team members feeling like they are being forced to work in a
particular (different) style or communicate in a different style, which is not their style and might
not be suitable in the context. Therefore the efficiency of these virtual teams brings frustrations and
a lot of times, managers are not very efficient in getting things

Delisting the Grey Wolf Essay
Delisting the Grey Wolf
The United States Fish and Wildlife Service are considering removing the gray wolf from the
endangered species list once Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming have enough wolves to be deemed
sufficient to continue to expand the wolf population, requiring only that each of these three states
have a management plan in effect to prevent the gray wolf from becoming endangered again. With
the current attitude of the governments in these states, the wolf should not lose their federal
support under the Endangered Species Act as it would merely serve to cause the wolves to become
endangered once again, or at best, held to the absolute minimum population that the states can pass
off as viable, self sustaining populations ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The state legislature has favored the ranching industry above ecology and continues to do so.
Public polls conducted by Boise State indicate that the overwhelming majority of Idahoans (nearly
70 percent) support wolf restoration (Laverty, par. 4) and the legislature is seeking to remedy this
by re educating the public with a balanced view of the impact of wolves on big game species, those
sectors of the economy dependent upon sport hunting, livestock, domestic animals, and humans
(State, 3). Furthermore, the cost of wolf reintroduction will be presented as a part of any public
education program including direct and indirect costs (State, 3).
This so called balanced view was presented in a program in which the most misrepresented issues
concerned the economic impact of wolves. Ranchers were allowed to claim unsubstantiated losses,
with no attempt to validate the accuracy of these claims (Laverty, par. 2). In granting the balanced
view sought by the legislature, the program portrayed the salt of the earth rancher as a poor victim
of the federal government s whim to restore the killers (Laverty, par. 2).
The lies by omission also showed up in this balanced view program, it failed to expose the
enormous subsidies that benefit

Obergefell Vs. Hodges Case Study
It is important for human resource professionals to understand employment laws that affect its
organization. Also, these laws set by the workforce can lead to legal challenges that will impact
organizations. One of the greatest legal challenges impacting organizations effectiveness and
productivity is discrimination. Discrimination is defined as the mistreatment of a protected class
different from their peers. An employee can be discriminated based on their age, religion, race,
gender, and/or sexual preference. For example, same sex marriages were not lawful until 2015
based on the ruling for Obergefell vs. Hodges case. It is important for organizations to ensure that
their policies and practices align and will not cause discriminate. Beth

Taking a Look at the Great Recession
Many economists have come to consider the 2008 financial crisis as the worst recession since the
1930 s Great Depression. The recession led to the total collapse of financial institutions, the
withdrawal of banks by the national governments and the total collapse of stock markets across
the world. The housing market also suffered in many areas, which resulted in prolonged
unemployment, evictions and foreclosures. The crisis played a key role in the failure of
significant businesses, the decline in the wealth of consumers, estimated in trillions of American
dollars, a downturn in economic activities and the debt crisis of the European countries. On 9
August 2007, the Banque National de Paris (BNP), a French bank and financial company whose
global headquarters are located in London, stopped withdrawals from three hedge funds citing a
total evaporation of liquidity. This marked the beginning of the active phase of the crisis. In 2007,
the bursting of the housing bubble of the U.S was at its peak. The bursting resulted in plummeting
of security values tied to the U.S. real estate pricing. The complex interplay of policies that
provided easier lending of loans, overpricing of sub prime mortgages, on a theoretical basis that the
prices would continue to increase, and inadequate capital holdings from insurance companies and
banks to back their financial commitments contributed to the bursting of the bubble (Boatright,
2010). During 2008, securities suffered huge losses due to

Denny v. Ford Motor Company Nancy Denny believed she was buying a Bronco II, which gave
her the ability to switch between two wheel and four wheel drive. According to the sales manual this
feature would be appealing to women due to the vehicles ability to drive safer on snow and ice.
Nancy Denny bought the vehicle due to the benefits of the four wheel drive and additionally, she
had not interest in using the vehicle for off road purposes. It could be said that the information

Finally, the third reason is a breach of warranty claim. The law implies a warranty by a
manufacturer which places its product on the market that the product is reasonably fit for the
ordinary purpose for which it was intended. If it is, in fact, defective and not reasonably fit to be
used for its intended purpose, the warranty is breached. Ultimately, Nancy Denny won because the
court found that defendant had, breached its implied warranty of merchantability and that the breach
was the proximate cause of Nancy Denny s injuries . Ford may have avoided these liabilities had
they marketed the vehicles manual towards off road only, or had they proved product safety was
reasonable to drive in ordinary circumstances. Judge Simons dissented on the case stating he felt
consumer expectation had no place in personal injury litigation. His reasoning seemed to place
absolute burden on a manufacturer in all cases. His reasoning s stated ordinary uses and intended
and reasonably foreseeable implied warranties. If this were the case it would be hard to determine
the definition of defective and reasonable to provide a decision in other cases. Any other decisions
that would arise in similar cases would ultimately place the burden on the manufacturer to prove
there was no defectiveness and the product could be used in any sort of circumstances. The

The development of visual media has introduced the concept of The Male Gaze Theory. The
Male Gaze Theory is defined as how women are depicted in the media from a male perspective,
such as presenting women as sexual objects for men s pleasure (Loreck). The article, inexplicitly,
talks about the male gaze: Up to 81% of music videos contain sexual imagery, the majority of
which sexually objectifies women by presenting them in revealing clothing, as decorative sexual
objects, dancing sexually, or in ways that emphasize body parts or sexual readiness. The article
talks about how women are sexually presented in the media which is what the male gaze
encompasses the male gaze is a harmful contribution to the sexualization of girls and is also seen
throughout the music video. The beginning of the music video shows 50 Cent walking into a
brothel type mansion where the camera pans to focusing on the writhing, half naked women in
the foyer of the mansion. This scene is viewed from a male s perspective because the camera
focuses on their sensual movements and physical assets instead of their normal facial expressions
or more appropriate places on their body. Also, since 50 Cent is the only male in the mansion, the
camera is only coming from a male perspective because brothels are only truly for a male s
pleasure. The other women in the video are objectified from their revealing clothing

The Value Chain Of Tesco
INTRODUCTION
Large business organisations constitute not only a single strategic business unit, but a culmination
of several business units. The business units which may number anywhere from 4 to as many as
20 or more cannot be considered as a single, separate and disparate entity. Rather the business units
are attached to each other like a string completing a full circle, where each complements the
predecessor and the successor. The breakdown of any one entity in the chain can have a telling
effect on the whole chain itself. Now depending on the type of sector chosen the units in the
business chain vary in number and complexity. For example unlike a software company the units
/ operational units in company which deals with products/goods are much larger in number. As
explained in the previous lines the units in operation are linked and performance of one affects the
performance of the other units linked to that unit. Valuechain management comes in this picture. ...

FIFA must lead by example, they need to become more active in demonstrating the core value of
leadership. How can we expect the football world to make the right decisions and to be honest in
their ways of business if the main organization of football isn t doing so themselves? Lastly, we
believe FIFA needs to master the core value of maturity. If we are expecting maturity when it
comes to how players handle a bad call on the field, then we should also expect it of the largest
organization of the sport itself, FIFA. If something were to go wrong in the future, whether it is
with a player, board member, vice president, etc., FIFA should be mature about the situation and
handle it properly and correct it. They should not let it slide or look the other away. In light of
recent events that put the reputation of FIFA into question, our goal is to bring reforms that will
restore FIFA as an organization built on honesty and friendly competition.
In order to combat the alleged corruption throughout FIFA, our first objective is to create a
decentralized system of authority. To do this, we first want to create a complete separation between
the management that deals with the commercial aspect of FIFA and those who make executive
decisions within FIFA. By doing this we believe that the temptation and occurrence of corruption
will be decreased because those who work to create commercial deals and handle the bidding

Unique Cell Types
Unique cell types are needed to perform the functions of the lung because the lung itself provides a
unique function for the human body. As previously stated, when cells can no longer provide a
function on their own, they develop into tissues unique to the role required of them. When they
need to advance from there, they form into organs that provide the overall function that is needed
for the homeostasis of the body, as a result of all these cell types working together. The lung is built
of all four tissues types: epithelial, connective, muscle and nervous. All of them are comprised of
their own cell types that had evolved over time. The epithelial tissues functions to protect the lung
to absorb moisture, help regulate temperature and contractibility. The connective... Show more

Tissues make up the structural support of the lung: whereas many different cells, like the ciliated
pseudostratified columnar epithelial cells, the alveolar type I and type II cells and cilia work
together to filter the air as it travels into the respiratory system where it ends at the alveoli sac.
While in the alveolar sac, air travels in through the lumens to diffuse the air into the blood stream
and exhaling carbon dioxide back out. In addition to the cells, blood vessels also play a vital role
getting the nutrient rich oxygen out of the lungs and to the rest of the body (Bailey, 2017). These
different cells and tissue types working together like this are known as cell specialization.
Different cell types and their different structures are able to perform these specific tasks to allow
the lung to be more efficient at its function (McGraw Hill Education (n.d.)). According to McGraw

These different shifts depict the number of customer service employees and the time frames they are

the proposed schedule, business trend, customer demographic and operating shifts were taken into
consideration when allocating customer service employees during operating hours.
Schedule Shifts
The majority of professional/contractor customers shop during early hours of the morning which is
known as the opening shift (7am 10am). Professional/contract customers are experienced and have
knowledge of the merchandise that they need and where it s located in the store given their visit

The Problem Of Homeless Youth

Homeless Youth

Homeless youth are a standout amongst the most underestimated gatherings in our general public.
Numerous specialists recognize much more elevated amounts of different issue practices among
these adolescent contrasted with their non homeless associates. The current study analyzed the
utility of social capital in foreseeing issue practices among homeless youth.
Homelessness is portrayed as circumstances of people or family units without steady, uninterrupted,
proper lodging, or the quick prospect, means and capacity of getting it. It is the aftereffect of
universal or public obstructions, an absence of reasonable and suitable lodging, the individual
/family unit s money related, mental, cognitive, behavioral or physical difficulties, and/or bigotry
and segregation. A majority of individuals don t decide to be dispossessed, and the occurrence is
usually negative, unsavory, upsetting and troubling
In the reading of Toward a needs based typology of homeless youth. Journal of Adolescent Health

of their ancestors. While the white men washing the dishes by the lake, the natives admitted that
those people were finding their bones. Because in the Native New Guinea Highlanders culture, they
usually threw the died bones into the lake. This misconception indicated that the highlanders were
ethnocentric. They prejudiced others based on their own culture. The consequences were that they
could not fully understand other s culture and it blocked the road of civilization. For example, the
New Guinea people were very anxious to get trade with Australian miners. They exchanged pigs
for knives, axes, and shells. However, because of their ethnocentrism, they did not know what were
the white men looking for, what is gold, and what is its value. It was particularly ironic that they
even encouraged their wives to go to white men to gain good things, like

Effects Of Chemistry On The Environment
There is no doubt that our knowledge of science and scientific procedures have changed over time.
As new tools and technologies that appeared during the 20th century, chemistry, physics, biology,
and other sciences were able to grow and develop at a faster pace. These advances in science have
helped humanity by increasing living standards and have brought more widespread wellness to
society. For instance, because of the existence of chemistry, society has been provided with more
advanced medicine, fabrics for clothes, plastics, rubber, componds of personal care products, parts
of cars, home appliances, computers and more. Society has benefited from chemistry; however, our
environment is harmed by the consequences of chemistry as well. Many chemicals are used to
improve the quality of our lives, and most are not harmful to the environment or human health.
However, some chemicals have the potential to cause harm... (Government of Canada, 2011).
The consequence of these modern innovations is that the chemical industry has had extremely
harmful consequences on the environment. The emissions of greenhouse gases and the greenhouse
effect, water pollution, the decrease of biodiversity and the impact on human health are consistent
and growing effects of the chemical industry and its activities. When chemicals are manufactured,
consumed or thrown away, they are able to infiltrate not just the water cycle but also the air and
even the ground soil. Depending on the number of polluting

Free Trade Essay
Drawing upon the arguments for free trade, discuss if free trade is fair. Prepare your academic
paper that outlines the potential costs and benefits of adopting a free trade system in the textiles

In this essay I shall consider the question if free trade is fair? I will be drawing up arguments in
order to answer what the potential costs and benefits of adopting a free trade system are in the
textile industry. Discussion will also be made on policies to reduce these costs and if they are
justifiable given the gains from free trade. From research on the topic I have come across many

What is free trade? Free trade is the international trade left to its natural course without tariffs,
quotas or any other restrictions. The first time arguments came around about if free trade was
fair was in 1839 42 during the opium wars in China. British drug dealers were exporting roughly
a ton of opium per day over from India. The people of China grew more and more aggrieved at
the damage it was doing to their people and societies, to prevent this the Chinese tried to close
their borders. The British were callous in suppressing this small revolt of the drug disagreeing
nationalist china. So today is free trade fair? I would say this could be answered in many different
ways depending on many factors. There are many advantages for many people and countries
however for one person to gain advantage it must come at a cost of someone having to deal with
the disadvantage. An example of this

The Pros And Cons Of Socialitarianism
Different nation and states utilize unique economic philosophies to manage how limited resources
are allocated within their societies. The two most common of these are capitalism and socialism.
Even among these two prevailing schools of economic thought, which systems is emphasized can
vary from country to country. The United States has always favored strong forms of capitalismsince
its inception, while China, the Eastern Bloc nations, and the former USSR have experimented with
extreme forms of socialismin their recent history. Western Europe, while favoring capitalism, has
implemented many socialistic policies to achieve a middle ground between the two. Within said
nations, citizens often directly align their preference of economic thought to a blind patriotism to
his or her native land s policies, without a cogent understanding of how such policies work or don t
work. Such dogmatism can be mitigated by under taking a careful examination of both systems pros
and cons.
The central paradigm in capitalistic economies is that government has a minimal role deciding
what, how, and when to produce goods. They trust in Adam s Smith s invisible hand to allow
people s self interest and the ensuing laws of supply and demand to determine the cost of goods and
services. Moreover, vacuums in the potential market are entrusted to entrepreneurs to spot and fill,
without governmental interference.
By allowing individuals to pursue their self interests, capitalism provides strong

Nullification Crisis Significance
The Nullification Crisis was significant. The Nullification Crisis started in 1828 when the Congress
passed a very high tariff on manufactured goods from Europe. The Southerners started protesting
against tariffs and called to secede from the United States. Since anger of tariffs continued to build
in the South, the Congress passed a new, lower tariff in 1832, hoping that the protest in the South
would die down. However, the South Carolinalegislature passed the Nullification act, an act
refusing to pay the illegal tariffs of 1828 and 1832. If the federal government interfered then the
South will continue calling for secession and the union will split apart. The significance of the

Sleep Apnea Effects
Humans need sleep. Sleep is essential to a myriad of proper bodily functions. It effects memory,
focus, mobility, and general brain function. If excessively deprived from sleep, individuals will
certainly experience adverse health effects, imminent death being one of them (Worthman, 2008).
Although many experts disagree on the details of what comprises good sleep (hours, environment,
noise level, body position etc.) the necessity of sleep is widely accepted (Worthman, 2008).
Despite the critical importance of sleep to general health, there remains a large population afflicted
by traits that inhibit them from sleeping, or sleeping well. Again, due to the important role of

The frequency at which it appears varies from region to region and country to country (Punjabi,
2008). There is also variability within the trait itself, as some individuals experience it while
others do not. Additionally, OSA has a hereditable basis as genetic factors like craniofacial
structure and average body weight are passed on to offspring. Apart from cultural activities
(smoking and alcohol intake) these two genetic components are fundamental when discussing the
presence of (or risk factors for) OSA (Nunn et al., 2016). Finally, there also exists a correlation
between sleep apnea and reproductive success. At first glance, the deleterious effects of sleep apnea
on the human body could lead one to believe that the disorder has no relevance to reproductive
success. Terrence Davidson, however, argues that the adverse human susceptibility to OSA is a
tradeoff for an adaptation that gave early Homo sapiens great advantage to survive and reproduce.
That tradeoff was the anatomical structure for language. The natural selection pressure for speech
and language was so strong that the undesired consequence of OSA was carried forward to
modern man (Davidson, 2003) Therefore, according to Davidson, Obstructive Sleep Apnea is a
product of natural selection, because the same structure that makes individuals vulnerable to OSA
was selected for in the first ancestors to produce

P3 There is many different strategies that can be used to minimise the effect(s) of challenging

such as the 3 warnings. When the children/childhas done the sanction appropriate for the

For the praise system to work, you will need to have a system that will work for the specific child
/children you will be using it on, whether at home or in schools.
D1 Using the naughty chair and reward sanction works is because you re taking them out of the
situation they were in and letting them reflect on their actions. When the child is put on the chair
the adult should be persistent, the longer the child plays up and the amount of time is restarted
the child will eventually give up, say sorry and then get the reward for doing time . Over time the
child will get so bored of being on the chair therefore meaning the amount of time will be
decreased, and if persistent in time the child won t play up as much as they did at the beginning.
Using the naughty char sanction is a better way of telling the child off, but in a way that they
understand why there on the chair, and for how long. If you were to send a child to their bedroom
or a separate room because of the naughty behaviour isn t teaching he child anything, especially
when they don t know how long or why they have being sent to the specific room. This could make
the child play up more as they would be upset, sometimes when children are upset they will tend to

Gladiators Essay
People may see gladiators as a hero maybe even a role model however; their life is not something
one would truly wish for. A life in chains with harsh training, blood and existence were all given
for a man s word. Gladiators fought for freedom, money, and life; few gave all for something, and
most gave all for nothing. The gladiatorlife was not about going in an arena to become the most
notorious named fighter. The purpose for the gladiator to fight was to receive a chance to see their
family. They fought to support, and to see another sunrise.
Gladiators are seen as fighters or warriors of the colosseums in Rome; however not as slaves or
prisoners. Most gladiators were captured and prisoners of war who were later sold to owners, but
are referred to as managers. These managers would turn prisoners into gladiators who were hungry
for wins to survive. Wins brought life, food, women, and amenities that the gladiator could dream
for as a free person.
Some of the gladiators were free men and women who would sign contracts to managers for a set
amount of fights or wins. These free men and women fought for ransom to help pay off debts or to

Analysis Of The Movie The Play By Bill Yoast s Young...
Plot Summary In April of 1971, the United States Supreme Court issued a ruling that ended all
state imposed segregation in public schools. In the beginning of the movie the narrator, later to be
known as Coach Bill Yoast s young daughter Sheryl, discusses the transition from segregated
schools to mixed races at T. C. Williams High School located in Alexandria, Virginia. The movie
expands on many different smaller issues that are centered on the main issue of hatred of race, The
african American race to be more specific. When Coach Herman Booneis first introduced he was
reluctant to take this new job as head coach in Virginia even with being well qualified because
he was previously passed up for the same coach position in South Carolina, but the job was given
to an under qualified white man who could barely tie his own shoe. Boone reluctantly takes the
job after realizing he is an idol for the black people in his neighborhood. With the issues of

and Julius Campbell (the unofficial leader of the black athletes.) Coach Boone at the beginning of

emphasizes that Pete is rich with a job in real state while Donald is jobless and is trying new
things. Money has been a struggle for the youngest brother and depends on his brother, he doesn

behind. One reason that Pete is furious at Donald is that he can t save his money and gives it
away to a stranger. Pete and Donald struggle to understand each other because they have different
lives and standards. Pete is classified as high class and Donald low class, both are from diverse
category Secondly, The Rich Brother tale, relationship among brothers is they have cold heart love

Previous strategies have proved to be ineffective and Nacro has campaigned for the Ministry of
Justice (MOJ) to implement a plan that would see the legislative provision demanding
accountability and constant monitoring of program efficacy. The provision should be that of
inclusive terms, embracing young women and the young black minority ethnic (BAME). For it to
be feasible, both targeted programs, whether in custody or in the community, they have to be
culturally subtle to be able to design person centred programs incorporating individual needs and
aims. Nacro will always refer to the (Harris Review 2015), from which it was concluded that every
young person going through the criminal justice system is susceptible. Also, in the review are
recommendations which state that, by putting young offenders in custody, this should always be
the last action to be taken because the recorded recidivism rates are said to be caused by custodial
sentences. The above sentiments have been welcomed by (Pettersson 2016), who argued that the
young people s narratives are testimony of a failed custodial system and a violation of a vital

Reflection circa 1973 was, grinding away best, an unobtrusively venturesome redesign on prior

generally a gifted however doomed repeat. Four decades back, execution workmanship was an

it, intended to reflect a world in which materials were transient, models pointless, values tricky. A
ton of late execution workmanship in New York, especially that in the biennial celebration
Performa, has had very nearly the inverse properties: It s cleaned, bundled, pricey, storehouse
primed.
Then, we can set out over to the execution art s beginnings in a sketchy yet engrossing archival
presentation, Customs of Rented Island: Object Theater, Loft Performance, and the New
Psychodrama Manhattan, 1970 1980 at the Whitney Museum of American Art.
New York Cityin the early 1970s was a wreck: bankrupt, or everything except, and going into
disrepair. One focal point to specialists was the accessibility of shoddy, void space, prominently in
the Lower Manhattan mechanical locale that came to be called Soho. An alternate was that, with
the workmanship showcase in the pits after the 1960s blast, there was a nothing to lose opportunity
to investigation.
Onto the scene came craftsmen who were as intrigued by dialect, theater, move, music, social work,
TV, help and stand up comic drama as they were in

exactly you want to go on a road trip. To help you figure it out, here is a list of 15 amazing places
to visit while on a road trip across Canada. 1. Cathedral Grove: Pacific Rim Highway British

Paper on Amnesia
Amnesia
Amnesia is typically defined as partial or total loss of memory. The occurrence of amnesia can
arise at any age. Individuals who suffer from amnesia typically remain lucid and preserve their
sense of self. Amnesiacs can obtain a perfectly normal appearance despite the amnesia. Moreover,
they also have the capacity to read and comprehend words. Based on these facts, researchers have
arrived at the conclusion that more than one area in the brain is used for storing facts.
One type of amnesia is Anterograde Amnesia. Anterograde amnesia is defined as severe amnesia
and causes superfluous difficulties for those suffering from it. Anterograde amnesia is when people
find it extremely difficult to recall ongoing events after a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Another theory held by Anna Freud as to why we do not remember our childhood memories is
because children and adults organize memories in different ways based on their brain s
development. While still others believe that children begin remembering facts and events once they
have accumulated enough to be able to relate experiences to each other.
Another type of amnesia that is unusual but not uncommon is transient global amnesia or TGA
for short. TGA is the sudden onset of forgetfulness and confusion. It usually occurs following
physical exertion. During a severe attack the victim experiences total disorientation except for
their own identity. This is combined with a mild form of retrograde amnesia which subsides
when the attack is complete. Attacks usually last anywhere from thirty to sixty minutes and rarely
last to be longer than twelve hours. There is no other alteration in consciousness or obvious
neurological problems. The person s behavior is otherwise normal and they usually recover
completely with in twenty four hours. People suffering from TGA generally have a complete and
rapid recovery. The only time in which a patient is treated for TGA is if it is related to
atherosclerosis, which is poor cerebral circulation.
A case was reported in London in 1997 by a man in his sixties who had regularly suffered from
migraines. He only experienced amnesia when he was having sex. He would ask

  • 2. The Plant Of A Pipeline Introduction Pigging is a critical activity in the commissioning and operation of a pipeline; oil, gas, water or otherwise. For flow assurance the pipeline needs to be cleared of debris and checked for defects, tasks pigs were designed for. The pig needs a method of entering and exiting the pipeline, so a mobile or fixed launcher and receiver are utilised depending on the exact requirements. Pig Launching and Receiving Basics A pig launcher and receiver, also known as a pig trap, are equipment designed to pump in the pig through the pipeline system and to retrieve the pig at the end of the operation. They can be mobile (pigging of construction section) or fixed in the pipeline system. The location of the launcher is located at the upstream end of the pipeline system, near the pump or compressor, while the receiver is at the end of the system. The launcher can be installed in a horizontal, vertical or inclined position. Most are installed horizontally to ease the operation and it is therefore the most preferable. However, due to space limits, vertical or incline pig traps are often considered. The launcher, receiver and all related equipment are designed, manufactured and tested according to the pipeline and vessel code standards e.g.; NACE, ASME VIII, BS 5500, ANSI, ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, etc. A pig trap is essential to get a potential result of product saving. It means that there is no requirement for adding an extensive line flushing as the pig cleaned out the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Analysis Of The Imposter The Imposter made in 2012, is a film tale that follows the chronicles of Frederic Bourdin, a con artist, who managed to trick an unsuspecting family into believing he was a long lost relative. Bart Layton directed this documentary and uses unconventional techniques to unravel this complicated, unbelievable story. 2) What are some of the themes that are central to the film? How have they been communicated? Bart Layton built this doc not from one perspective, but from a collection of them. Some stories, like The Imposter need a panoptic approach to connect the audience to the film. The themes of manipulation, identity and love are the main themes conveyed by Layton. These themes are communicated through sounds and visual imagery. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... 8) What is the tone or feeling of the film and what is its impact? Bart Layton uses a wide variety of techniques and devices to convey the emotional tone of the documentary. The constant change of character s perceptions and slow unraveling of mysteries caused inpatient viewers wanting more. The documentary was designed to reflect on the antihero, FrГ©dГ©ric Bourdin s past. The Imposter uses reenactments and interviews to unfold a murky feel, where truth and fiction morph in an enchanting double helix. Bart Layton highlights Bourdin s life rather than focusing on Nicholas Barclay. With so many different feelings flooding the audience at once, Layton allows time for the audience to reflect and find conclusions for the unsolved mystery. Suspicion is raised from the beginning of the film, but shifts to various players as the film unfolds. The imposter himself, has a simultaneously engaging and repellant personality. Bourdin s audacity in impersonating a missing American child is breathtaking. The fact that he fooled the Barclay family and the FBI is beyond comprehension. It is this tone of incredulity that Layton expertly manipulates in the viewer. Who to trust? Who is telling the truth? What happened to Nicholas? Where is this missing child? The dramatic tone of the film has only one lighthearted moment. The drive from Dallas Airport, shot in bright light with ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The diuretic activity of Silybum Mariamum L. was higher than that of furosemide or Cistus landaniferus L. In addition, both plants increased urinary excretion of sodium, potassium and creatinine and the effect of Silybum marianum L. was higher than that of furosemide or Cistus landaniferus L.. Interestingly, both plants did not cause changes in the plasma sodium or potassium while furosemide caused hypokalemia. These findings are important since both plants might have a potential to be used as a future diuretics without hypokalemia which is a common finding with use of current diuretics such loop diuretics or hydrochlorothiazide. Because there was no effect of the plants` extract on plasma electrolytes and plasma osmolarity, it might be suggested that the active principle(s) in both plants may has/have a potassium sparing effect. Furthermore, both plants increased creatinine clearance and studying their effect in kidney failure might explore their potential to help increasing creatinine clearance or ameliorating acute/chronic kidney ... For newer generations (people who have already worked abroad have been used to work in cross cultural teams) adapting to different cultures is done automatically and common sense. One knows a bit of cultural dimensions of each of the countries and one is familiar with the working styles of other countries so can one can adapt a little bit, when interacting with them. For people who have been only within a British business with British people for a long period of time, this common sense is less. They have to force themselves to adapt to change the communication style and to change how they measure performance. This is one of the main challenges. When these people manage virtual teams, they often try to flatten /level the differences of the team members. This usually leads to the team members feeling like they are being forced to work in a particular (different) style or communicate in a different style, which is not their style and might not be suitable in the context. Delisting the Grey Wolf Essay Delisting the Grey Wolf The United States Fish and Wildlife Service are considering removing the gray wolf from the endangered species list once Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming have enough wolves to be deemed sufficient to continue to expand the wolf population, requiring only that each of these three states have a management plan in effect to prevent the gray wolf from becoming endangered again. With the current attitude of the governments in these states, the wolf should not lose their federal support under the Endangered Species Act as it would merely serve to cause the wolves to become endangered once again, or at best, held to the absolute minimum population that the states can pass off as viable, self sustaining populations ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The state legislature has favored the ranching industry above ecology and continues to do so. Public polls conducted by Boise State indicate that the overwhelming majority of Idahoans (nearly 70 percent) support wolf restoration (Laverty, par. 4) and the legislature is seeking to remedy this by re educating the public with a balanced view of the impact of wolves on big game species, those sectors of the economy dependent upon sport hunting, livestock, domestic animals, and humans (State, 3). Furthermore, the cost of wolf reintroduction will be presented as a part of any public education program including direct and indirect costs (State, 3). This so called balanced view was presented in a program in which the most misrepresented issues concerned the economic impact of wolves. Ranchers were allowed to claim unsubstantiated losses, with no attempt to validate the accuracy of these claims (Laverty, par. 2). In granting the balanced view sought by the legislature, the program portrayed the salt of the earth rancher as a poor victim of the federal government s whim to restore the killers (Laverty, par. 2). The lies by omission also showed up in this balanced view program, it failed to expose the enormous subsidies that benefit ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 10. Taking a Look at the Great Recession Many economists have come to consider the 2008 financial crisis as the worst recession since the 1930 s Great Depression. The recession led to the total collapse of financial institutions, the withdrawal of banks by the national governments and the total collapse of stock markets across the world. The housing market also suffered in many areas, which resulted in prolonged unemployment, evictions and foreclosures. The crisis played a key role in the failure of significant businesses, the decline in the wealth of consumers, estimated in trillions of American dollars, a downturn in economic activities and the debt crisis of the European countries. On 9 August 2007, the Banque National de Paris (BNP), a French bank and financial company whose global headquarters are located in London, stopped withdrawals from three hedge funds citing a total evaporation of liquidity. This marked the beginning of the active phase of the crisis. In 2007, the bursting of the housing bubble of the U.S was at its peak. The bursting resulted in plummeting of security values tied to the U.S. real estate pricing. The complex interplay of policies that provided easier lending of loans, overpricing of sub prime mortgages, on a theoretical basis that the prices would continue to increase, and inadequate capital holdings from insurance companies and banks to back their financial commitments contributed to the bursting of the bubble (Boatright, 2010). Brown 10 07 12 Denny v. Ford Motor Company Nancy Denny believed she was buying a Bronco II, which gave her the ability to switch between two wheel and four wheel drive. According to the sales manual this feature would be appealing to women due to the vehicles ability to drive safer on snow and ice. Finally, the third reason is a breach of warranty claim. The law implies a warranty by a manufacturer which places its product on the market that the product is reasonably fit for the ordinary purpose for which it was intended. If it is, in fact, defective and not reasonably fit to be used for its intended purpose, the warranty is breached. Ultimately, Nancy Denny won because the court found that defendant had, breached its implied warranty of merchantability and that the breach was the proximate cause of Nancy Denny s injuries . Ford may have avoided these liabilities had they marketed the vehicles manual towards off road only, or had they proved product safety was reasonable to drive in ordinary circumstances. Judge Simons dissented on the case stating he felt consumer expectation had no place in personal injury litigation. His reasoning seemed to place absolute burden on a manufacturer in all cases. His reasoning s stated ordinary uses and intended and reasonably foreseeable implied warranties. If this were the case it would be hard to determine the definition of defective and reasonable to provide a decision in other cases. Any other decisions that would arise in similar cases would ultimately place the burden on the manufacturer to prove there was no defectiveness and the product could be used in any sort of circumstances. The United States has always favored strong forms of capitalismsince its inception, while China, the Eastern Bloc nations, and the former USSR have experimented with extreme forms of socialismin their recent history. Such dogmatism can be mitigated by under taking a careful examination of both systems pros and cons. • 36. Essay on Health and Social Care P3, M2 and D1 P3 There is many different strategies that can be used to minimise the effect(s) of challenging behaviour in health and social care. Some of these strategies have a bigger impact on children, depending on the children(s) behaviour. Such strategies include; Naughty chair, speaking (feeling and emotion), 2 warnings, these are all sanctions, which are implemented in home and schools, such as the 3 warnings. When the children/childhas done the sanction appropriate for the behaviour a reward should be put in place, such as a reward chart, meaning to stars and you get a bag of sweets, or a day out etc. Having these sanctions in place along with the reward chart, means that the child will be told off, and have time to reflect on their ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... For the praise system to work, you will need to have a system that will work for the specific child /children you will be using it on, whether at home or in schools. D1 Using the naughty chair and reward sanction works is because you re taking them out of the situation they were in and letting them reflect on their actions. When the child is put on the chair the adult should be persistent, the longer the child plays up and the amount of time is restarted the child will eventually give up, say sorry and then get the reward for doing time . Over time the child will get so bored of being on the chair therefore meaning the amount of time will be decreased, and if persistent in time the child won t play up as much as they did at the beginning. Using the naughty char sanction is a better way of telling the child off, but in a way that they understand why there on the chair, and for how long. If you were to send a child to their bedroom or a separate room because of the naughty behaviour isn t teaching he child anything, especially when they don t know how long or why they have being sent to the specific room. This could make the child play up more as they would be upset, sometimes when children are upset they will tend to play up, therefore meaning the naughty ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 38. Gladiators Essay People may see gladiators as a hero maybe even a role model however; their life is not something one would truly wish for. A life in chains with harsh training, blood and existence were all given for a man s word. Gladiators fought for freedom, money, and life; few gave all for something, and most gave all for nothing. The gladiatorlife was not about going in an arena to become the most notorious named fighter. The purpose for the gladiator to fight was to receive a chance to see their family. They fought to support, and to see another sunrise. Gladiators are seen as fighters or warriors of the colosseums in Rome; however not as slaves or prisoners. Most gladiators were captured and prisoners of war who were later sold to owners, but are referred to as managers. These managers would turn prisoners into gladiators who were hungry for wins to survive. Wins brought life, food, women, and amenities that the gladiator could dream for as a free person. Some of the gladiators were free men and women who would sign contracts to managers for a set amount of fights or wins. These free men and women fought for ransom to help pay off debts or to support a family. Desperate individuals, ex military, all the way up to... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 39. Analysis Of The Movie The Play By Bill Yoast s Young... Plot Summary In April of 1971, the United States Supreme Court issued a ruling that ended all state imposed segregation in public schools. In the beginning of the movie the narrator, later to be known as Coach Bill Yoast s young daughter Sheryl, discusses the transition from segregated schools to mixed races at T. C. Williams High School located in Alexandria, Virginia. The movie expands on many different smaller issues that are centered on the main issue of hatred of race, The african American race to be more specific. When Coach Herman Booneis first introduced he was reluctant to take this new job as head coach in Virginia even with being well qualified because he was previously passed up for the same coach position in South Carolina, but the job was given to an under qualified white man who could barely tie his own shoe. Boone reluctantly takes the job after realizing he is an idol for the black people in his neighborhood. With the issues of desegregation flying around he must overcome the racism as well as winning over his new team and leading them to victory. Remember the Titans has many very important main characters yet the four I would like to go in grave detail about are the Head Coach Herman Boone, Assistant Coach Bill Yoast, Titans team captain Gary Bertier (and unofficial rallier of the white football players), and Julius Campbell (the unofficial leader of the black athletes.) Coach Boone at the beginning of the movie was always courteous when people ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Previous strategies have proved to be ineffective and Nacro has campaigned for the Ministry of Justice (MOJ) to implement a plan that would see the legislative provision demanding accountability and constant monitoring of program efficacy. The provision should be that of inclusive terms, embracing young women and the young black minority ethnic (BAME). For it to be feasible, both targeted programs, whether in custody or in the community, they have to be culturally subtle to be able to design person centred programs incorporating individual needs and aims. Nacro will always refer to the (Harris Review 2015), from which it was concluded that every young person going through the criminal justice system is susceptible. Also, in the review are recommendations which state that, by putting young offenders in custody, this should always be the last action to be taken because the recorded recidivism rates are said to be caused by custodial sentences. The above sentiments have been welcomed by (Pettersson 2016), who argued that the young people s narratives are testimony of a failed custodial system and a violation of a vital developmental path that adolescence inherently nurture desistance. Voluntary Arthroplasty Research As a new graduate working on the Medical/Surgical floor the use of a Continuous Passive Motion Machines (CPM) in post total knee arthroplasty (TKA) patients was essential. Seasoned nurses drilled onto graduate nurses that the patient had to wear the CPM for a minimum of eight hours per day. With evidence based nursing, there is now data conflicting the efficacy of using CPM machines on post TKA patients. • 44. The Art Scene in New York City in the 60 s and Early 70s Reflection circa 1973 was, grinding away best, an unobtrusively venturesome redesign on prior models. A significant part of the new painting seen in Manhattan doesn t climb so high. It s generally a gifted however doomed repeat. Four decades back, execution workmanship was an option to painting. It was offbeat and clunky, past innovation, or perhaps unreasonably underneath it, intended to reflect a world in which materials were transient, models pointless, values tricky. A ton of late execution workmanship in New York, especially that in the biennial celebration Performa, has had very nearly the inverse properties: It s cleaned, bundled, pricey, storehouse primed. Then, we can set out over to the execution art s beginnings in a sketchy yet engrossing archival presentation, Customs of Rented Island: Object Theater, Loft Performance, and the New Psychodrama Manhattan, 1970 1980 at the Whitney Museum of American Art. New York Cityin the early 1970s was a wreck: bankrupt, or everything except, and going into disrepair. One focal point to specialists was the accessibility of shoddy, void space, prominently in the Lower Manhattan mechanical locale that came to be called Soho. An alternate was that, with the workmanship showcase in the pits after the 1960s blast, there was a nothing to lose opportunity to investigation. Individuals who suffer from amnesia typically remain lucid and preserve their sense of self. Amnesiacs can obtain a perfectly normal appearance despite the amnesia. Moreover, they also have the capacity to read and comprehend words. Based on these facts, researchers have arrived at the conclusion that more than one area in the brain is used for storing facts. Another theory held by Anna Freud as to why we do not remember our childhood memories is because children and adults organize memories in different ways based on their brain s development. While still others believe that children begin remembering facts and events once they have accumulated enough to be able to relate experiences to each other. Another type of amnesia that is unusual but not uncommon is transient global amnesia or TGA for short. TGA is the sudden onset of forgetfulness and confusion. It usually occurs following physical exertion. During a severe attack the victim experiences total disorientation except for their own identity. This is combined with a mild form of retrograde amnesia which subsides when the attack is complete. Attacks usually last anywhere from thirty to sixty minutes and rarely last to be longer than twelve hours. There is no other alteration in consciousness or obvious neurological problems. The person s behavior is otherwise normal and they usually recover completely with in twenty four hours. People suffering from TGA generally have a complete and rapid recovery. The only time in which a patient is treated for TGA is if it is related to atherosclerosis, which is poor cerebral circulation. A case was reported in London in 1997 by a man in his sixties who had regularly suffered from migraines. He only experienced amnesia when he was having sex. He would ask ...
