Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.
2. Existing Product
The Masthead of ‘Thrasher’ is a highly
recognised name in the skating
industry it uses a unique font and
stands out with the red colour. There is
also a skater doing an eye-catching
trick enticing the reader. There is also 3
key skaters names at placed
above the headline to give you an idea
of what is inside. The red sub
headlines consist of articles which you
will see inside and also the names of
the skaters they are about. The
barcode is placed in the bottom left
corner typically as it is convention for
magazines.
3. Existing Product
The masthead of ‘Transworld
skateboarding’ is an Iconic skate
magazine which uses bold white letters,
The skater covers the lettering however
you can still read it as it’s well known in
the skating business. The price is not so
visible which is clever marketing as it is
not appealing to the customer. The
barcode is typically located in the bottom
left or right and corner. The Sub headings
are quite small and located above the
masthead so that you read it first
knowing the content of the magazine,
Then the main focus is the actual picture
of the skater doing a mad trick bringing
in the readers to buy the product.
4. Existing Product
This Skateboard magazine is also well know in
the skate scene. The masthead is in large
white letters standing out uses a Font which
looks like it is boarded to the background. The
skater is in the the middle of the magazine
making it the main focus. There is a bright sky
background to this making it clear to see. The
sub headings are of skaters and articles
included in the magazine located at the
bottom. The barcode and price are also in the
bottom right corner like the other magazines
researched with the release date below.
Overall I think this cover is quite plain
however there is not much else to include on
a cover so I think that it will still get people to
buy the product because of its brand
awareness.
