Proximity Detection in Distributed Simulation of Wireless Mobile SystemsGabriele D'Angelo
The distributed and the Grid Computing architectures for the simulation of massively populated wireless systems have recently been considered of interest, mainly for cost reasons. Solutions for generalized proximity detection for mobile objects is a relevant problem, with a big impact on the design and the implementation of parallel and distributed simulations of wireless mobile systems. In this paper, a set of solutions based on tailored data structures, new techniques and enhancements of the existing algorithms for generalized proximity detection are proposed and analyzed, to increase the efficiency of distributed simulations. The paper includes the analysis of computation complexity of the proposed solutions and the performance evaluation of a testbed distributed simulation of ad hoc network models. Recent works have shown that the performance of distributed simulation of dynamic complex systems could benefit from a runtime migration mechanism of model entities, which reduces the communication overheads. Such migration mechanisms may interfere with the generalized proximity detection implementations. The analysis performed in this paper illustrates the effects of many possible compositions of the proposed solutions, in a real testbed simulation framework.

An Adaptive Routing Algorithm for Communication Networks using Back Pressure...IJMER
The basic idea of backpressure techniques is to prioritize transmissions over links that have
the highest queue differentials. Backpressure method effectively makes packets flow through the network
as though pulled by gravity towards the destination end, which has the smallest queue size of zero. Under
high traffic conditions, this method works very well, and backpressure is able to fully utilize the available
network resources in a highly dynamic fashion. Under low traffic conditions, however, because many
other hosts may also have a small or zero queue size, there is inefficiency in terms of an increase in
delay, as packets may loop or take a long time to make their way to the destination end. In this paper we
use the concept of shadow queues. Each node has to maintain some counters, called as shadow queues,
per destination. This is very similar to the idea of maintaining a routing table (for routing purpose) per
destination. Using the concept of shadow queues, we partially decouple routing and the scheduling. A
shadow network is maintained to update a probabilistic routing table that packets use upon arrival at a
node. The same shadow network, with back-pressure technique, is used to activate transmissions between
nodes. The routing algorithm is designed to minimize the average number of hops used by the packets in
the network. This idea, along with the scheduling and routing decoupling, leads to delay reduction
compared with the traditional back-pressure algorithm

Analysis of Latency and Throughput of 2D Torus Topology using Modified XY Rou...IDES Editor
Network-on-Chip (NoC) is a packet switched onchip
communication network designed using a layered
methodology i.e. “routes packets, not wires”. It is an efficient
on chip communication architecture for System on Chip (SoC)
architectures. NoCs solved the disadvantages of SoCs and are
scalable. Each route in NoC includes some routers and it takes
a few clock periods by passing a router.
When the network is in congestion, the package transmission
will produce much more time delay. So adopting an appropriate
routing algorithm to get the balance between the time delay
and throughput rate becomes the key problem. In this paper
we tried to solve that problem using torus topology with our
modified XY routing algorithm.
We used NIRGAM simulator for analysis of latency and
throughput of modified XY routing algorithm for 2D torus
topology. 3x3 network size used for analyze the performance.
We consider all tiles as source, all tiles as destination and

latency/packet increases and throughput (in Gbps) also
increases but latency/flit decreases.

Ballpark Figure Algorithms for Data Broadcast in Wireless NetworksEditor IJCATR
In wireless system allocation is a necessary purpose and show industry expensive dependability in message protocol design. In multihop wireless networks, equally, imposition by a node by reason of immediate transmissions as its neighbors makes it nontrivial to graph a minimum-latency transmit algorithm, which is known to be NP-complete. A simple ballpark figure algorithm for the one-to-all transmit problem that improves all previously documented guarantees for this problem. In All-to-all transmit problem where every node sends its own consequence to all complementary nodes. In the all-to-all transmit problem, we current two algorithms with ballpark figure ratios of 20 and 34, civilizing the greatest result. A communication wants to be transmitted establishment its resource to all the previous nodes in the network. There may be different messages to be broadcasted from several sources. Two or more nodes broadcast a communication to an ordinary neighbor at the same time; the frequent node will not collect any of this communication. We say that collide has occurred at the ordinary node. So any message protocol for wireless networks must dispute with the distress of difficulty in the wireless intermediate.

Black Hole Detection in AODV Using Hexagonal Encryption in Manet’sIJMER
In MANETs (mobile ad hoc network), security is common problem and lack of issues in
MANET network. When comparing to wired network, MANETs are harmed to security attacks due to the
scarcity of a trusted centralized enforce authority and limited resources. This paper proposed a technique
to avoid Blackhole node behaviour in AODV (Ad Hoc On-Demand Distance Vector) using Hexagonal
Encryption inNS2. Hexagonal Encryption has been chosen for low cost and high computation speed up.
Compared to existing blackhole detection technique, this proposed technique obtains better result by

Performance analysis of congestion-aware Q-routing algorithm for network on chipIAESIJAI
A network on chip’s performance is greatly impacted by network congestion due to the substantial increase in latency and energy utilized. Designing routing strategies that keep the network informed of the status of traffic is made easier by machine learning techniques. In this work, a reinforcement-based congestion-aware Q-routing (CAQR) technique has been presented. The proposed algorithm performed better in comparison to the conventional XY routing method tested against the SPEC CPU2006 benchmark suite in the gem5 NoC simulator tool. The suite used has 4 benchmarks, namely, namd, lbm, leslie3d and bzip2 which can be used for the cores in the network in any combination. The tests were run with 16 cores on a 4×4 network with the maximum instruction count supported by the system (here 5,000). The proposed Q-routing algorithm showed an average of 19% reduction for benchmark simulation as compared to the Dimension-ordered (X-Y) routing for readings of average packet latency which is a crucial factor in determining a network’s efficiency. The analysis also shows an average reduction of 24%, 10%, 23% and 47% in terms of average packet network latency, average flit latency, average flit network latency and average energy consumption across various benchmarks.

Performance Analysis of Mesh-based NoC’s on Routing Algorithms IJECEIAES
The advent of System-on-Chip (SoCs), has brought about a need to increase the scale of multi-core chip networks. Bus Based communications have proved to be limited in terms of performance and ease of scalability, the solution to both bus – based and Point-to-Point (P2P) communication systems is to use a communication infrastructure called Network-on-Chip (NoC). Performance of NoC depends on various factors such as network topology, routing strategy and switching technique and traffic patterns. In this paper, we have taken the initiative to compile together a comparative analysis of different Network on Chip infrastructures based on the classification of routing algorithm, switching technique, and traffic patterns. The goal is to show how varied combinations of the three factors perform differently based on the size of the mesh network, using NOXIM, an open source SystemC Simulator of mesh-based NoC. The analysis has shown tenable evidence highlighting the novelty of XY routing algorithm.
Wireless mesh networks offer high bandwidth Internet access for mobile users anywhere and at any time.
It is an emerging technology that uses wireless multi-hop networking to provide a cost-efficient way for
community or enterprise users to have broadband Internet access and share network resource. In this paper,
we have tried to give a comparative analysis of various Gateway Placement approaches which can be
helpful in understanding which approach will be useful in which situation.
Minimum Process Coordinated Checkpointing Scheme For Ad Hoc Networks pijans
The wireless mobile ad hoc network (MANET) architecture is one consisting of a set of mobile hosts
capable of communicating with each other without the assistance of base stations. This has made possible
creating a mobile distributed computing environment and has also brought several new challenges in
distributed protocol design. In this paper, we study a very fundamental problem, the fault tolerance
problem, in a MANET environment and propose a minimum process coordinated checkpointing scheme.
Since potential problems of this new environment are insufficient power and limited storage capacity, the
proposed scheme tries to reduce the amount of information saved for recovery. The MANET structure used
in our algorithm is hierarchical based. The scheme is based for Cluster Based Routing Protocol (CBRP)
which belongs to a class of Hierarchical Reactive routing protocols. The protocol proposed by us is nonblocking coordinated checkpointing algorithm suitable for ad hoc environments. It produces a consistent
set of checkpoints; the algorithm makes sure that only minimum number of nodes in the cluster are
required to take checkpoints; it uses very few control messages. Performance analysis shows that our
algorithm outperforms the existing related works and is a novel idea in the field. Firstly, we describe an
organization of the cluster. Then we propose a minimum process coordinated checkpointing scheme for
cluster based ad hoc routing protocols.
Nearest Adjacent Node Discovery Scheme for Routing Protocol in Wireless Senso...IOSR Journals
The broad significance of Wireless Sensor Networks is in most emergency and disaster rescue
domain. The routing process is the main challenges in the wireless sensor network due to lack of physical links.
The objective of routing is to find optimum path which is used to transferring packets from source node to
destination node. Routing should generate feasible routes between nodes and send traffic along the selected path
and also achieve high performance. This paper presents a nearest adjacent node scheme based on shortest path
routing algorithm. It is plays an important role in energy conservation. It finds the best location of nearest
adjacent nodes by involving the least number of nodes in transmission of data and set large number of nodes to
sleep in idle mode. Based on simulation result we shows the significant improvement in energy saving and
enhance the life of the network

Back-Pressure-Based Packet-by-Packet Adaptive Routing in
Communication Networks
Abstract
Back-pressure-based adaptive routing algorithms where each packet is
routed along a possibly different path have been extensively studied in the
literature. However, such algorithms typically result in poor delay performance and
involve high implementation complexity. In this paper, we develop a new adaptive
routing algorithm built upon the widely studied back-pressure algorithm. We
decouple the routing and scheduling components of the algorithm by designing a
probabilistic routing table that is used to route packets to per-destination queues.
The scheduling decisions in the case of wireless networks are made using counters
called shadow queues. The results are also extended to the case of networks that
employ simple forms of network coding. In that case, our algorithm provides a
low-complexity solution to optimally exploit the routing–coding tradeoff.
