1) Charged particles experience a magnetic force when moving through a magnetic field. This force is perpendicular to both the particle's velocity and the magnetic field.
2) A current-carrying wire in a magnetic field experiences a magnetic force proportional to the current in the wire and the length of wire in the field.
3) A current loop in a magnetic field does not experience a net translational force but does experience a torque, causing it to rotate. The direction of the torque depends on the direction of the current and magnetic field.
