This document summarizes a road safety audit and crash reduction workshop held in Bandung, Indonesia. It discusses the Road Infrastructure Safety Management (RISM) approach of creating self-explaining roads and forgiving environments to reduce crashes. The crash reduction process involves collecting and analyzing accident data, identifying high-risk sites, conducting inspections, producing reports with countermeasure recommendations, and implementing improvements. Three key crash countermeasures discussed are providing sealed shoulders, delineating road alignments at curves, and marking hazards like narrow bridge walls. The workshop aimed to reduce crashes in Indonesia by applying these road safety principles.
