Inuit Vs Eating Raw Meat
Some people think that it wasn t ok for the Inuit to eat to all the parts of an animal or eating raw meat
because it was either disgusting or bad for them because it causes diseases. Well they are half right.
Actually eating raw meat can be good for people, because technically meat that is cooked is harder to
digest than raw meat. It was right and ok for the Inuit to eat raw meat.
The Inuit ate raw meat because they had very few natural resources and very few edible plants to eat.
When food is being cooked the longer the person has it being cooked the more nutrients has been
taken away. When food is cooked some of the vitamins like vitamin c and vitamin b, have been lost or
taken away during the process of it being cooked. Cooked food has

Joint Commission released national patient safety goals for hospitals in January of 2016. These patient
safety goals were established to help accredited organizations address specific areas of concern in
regards to patient safety (Facts about the National Patient Safety Goals, 2015). National patient safety
goal 07.06.01 focuses on the prevention of catheter associated urinary tract infections (CAUTI) in
hospitalized patients. Evidence based practice should be implemented to stop these common infections
occurring in patients nationwide. Indwelling urinary catheters are only recommended in certain
patients, for example to prevent further breakdown of sacral wounds or pressure ulcers in incontinent
patients, for comfort in end of life care ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In 2013, a magnet recognized hospital, Baptist Health Lexington, reduced CAUTI rates in ICU
patients by 60% (Roser, Piercy Altpeter, 2014). The study included six interventions that were
followed by the staff in the effort to reduce CAUTI. The six interventions included: communication of
CAUTI data to interdisciplinary teams, a nurse driven, physician approved protocol, problem analysis
using Lean principles, daily unit based surveillance rounds, silver alloy urinary catheters, and an
antimicrobial bundle comprised of two cleansing products for patients with an indwelling urinary
catheter (Roser, Piercy Altpeter, 2014). The nurse physician protocol allowed for nurses to assess
whether the catheter was still necessary and if found not to be, the nurse could discontinue it. This
resulted in a 58% decrease in the number of catheters used (Roser, Piercy Altpeter, 2014). An
education session was implemented by nurses using principles from the Lean system that checked the
capability of nurses to understand just how dangerous CAUTI can be. It was found that no single
intervention alone could reduce the occurrence of CAUTI development. Nurses must integrate several
interventions to have an effective result at lowering the rates. However, this particular study found that
after the use of the antimicrobial bundle, rates of CAUTI did decline. Roser et al. (2014) emphasized
that education and awareness of

For this final paper, I would like to discuss the historical failures that came into light when Mr.
Clifford Stoll (the author of Cuckoo s Egg: Tracking a spy through the Maze of Computer Espionage
book) stumbled upon a $ 0.75 accounting error and the revelations that followed, its potential findings,
risks and costs associated and why it is important to address and fix those security holes. Cuckoo s
Egg is an interesting read and the author was successful in presenting to his readers the picture of
beginning of Internet days (arpanet, then), network practices then. Despite of the fact that this book
describes a real incident that in 1980 s, some of the findings are relevant and torment us even today.
One of the major ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One of the other failures that the book presents us is the user s weak password practice and how the
intruder took advantage of this is to gain super user privileges and created several user accounts by
gaining root privileges. All it takes is a one time access as super user to establish his base into the
defenders zone. This book describes how the intruder took advantage of brute force method to hack
user accounts and password. Also, the intruder was smart enough to steal the password information
file and even managed to encrypt all the dictionary words by using the same encryption algorithm and
then compared those words with the stolen encrypted passwords file to find out passwords of user
accounts. The scientists/ researchers at the laboratories who are not aware of such kind of
exploitations made intruder s work easy by having easy to guess passwords, never bothered to change
the passwords from time to time or in fact did not realize the importance of having strong passwords
in order to maintain and protect their research data in a safe and secure way. Even today, not all the
users realize the importance of having strong/secure passwords and we come across such instances
where intruders exploit users ignorance. (For example, Two years ago, before I enrolled in MS CS
program, I did not know how brute force attacks work or

Genocide during the Bosnian War
Raphael Lemkin described genocide as acts of barbarism that should be outlawed, even in times of
war . Lemkin is right. Genocide is a cruel vicious act that I do not wish upon my greatest enemies. It is
torture and death. A lot of people think genocide is a thing of the past. After all it is 2014 already. We
are so much more advanced and connected then back during the time of the Holocaust. A genocide
started just 22 years ago and it was during the Bosnian War. The Bosnian Genocide was atrocious
because it classified and dehumanized a religion, it allowed for the extermination of a people based on
religion and the murderers denied they ever committed a crime and tried to cover the deaths up. The

Serbs who stayed friendly with Muslim neighbors or tried to protect them were considered traitors,
and they were dealt with harshly (Ching). The prisoners in the camps were beaten, denied food and
water, housed in horrific conditions, sexually assaulted, tortured, and finally killed (Bosnian
Genocide). There was no food, little water, and a lot of fear (Bosnia 1995). Some detainees there were
killed on a pyre of burning tires, while others were forced to load dead bodies onto trucks, or to dig
their own graves. As many as fifty thousand Muslim girls and women, aged nine to sixty, were raped
by Serbian soldiers and volunteers. This made them unfit, according to Muslim culture, to be either
wives or mothers (Ching). The Serbian soldiers would declare after rape that the women had given
birth to Serbian babies. Due to these incidents, many of the female captives lost all of their strength
and suffered from a number of sexually transmitted infections. The first goal of the Serbs was to wipe
out the educated, the intellectuals, the wealthy, and any other non Serbs who actively opposed their
rule. By June 1994, fewer than 50,000 remained in their home and the area had been determined
purified . (The Combat). Most Bosnian Croats and Serbs had the option of fleeing to Croatia and
Serbia. However Bosnian Muslims had nowhere to go. They crowded into Bosnian cities that were
still widely thought to be safe. Serbian forces continued to carry out

Symbolism In Jesus Camp
In 2006, directors Heidi Erving and Cahal Grady released Jesus Camp . The directors go to Devil s
Lake, North Dakota to document a camp run by and for Evangelicals. Becky Fisher, the camp s leader,
admits that society ought to indocrinate its children. The word evangelical means fervent or zealous.
Becky Fisher furvently trains the children to develop a one sided perception of the world so they can
take back America for Christ. While all Evangelicals do not behave this way, the directors present a
group of these individuals and what they live for. In Jesus Camp , the directors create a political
context, elements of juxtaposition and symbolism to promote the discussion of the following: when
does education become indoctrination?
With the presidential election of George Bush in 2005, Evangelicals felt empowered. He was a
conservative and many of his political ideals aligned with the evangelicals . Becky Fisher utilizes the
camp activities comminicate conservative political ideology to the children. In Jesus Camp , Becky
Fisher denies the claim that her camp is politically inclined. Yet, her camp activities assert a different
side of the argument. For example, the camp s leaders told the children that abortion is wrong. The
camp s leaders spoke of Roe v. Wade and how it legalized abortion within the first trimester in the
pregnancy. The leaders show what fetuses look like at different stages in the pregnancy. They tell the
children that one third of their friends are

Pros And Cons Of The American Conspiracy
5. Conclusion In America, the conspiracy has arisen earlier, than the state of the USA. Some historians
consider that the conspiracy was one of driving factors which has caused a reaction to an unequal
policy of the British government and as the result, has caused the American revolution (1765 1783)
(Baylin,1967). Analogs of conspiracy theories can be found also in Europe 16th century and 17th
century. Both main motives of the American conspiratology (fear of external invasion and fear of
internal diversion), in parallel developing and supplementing each other, emphasized the main idea of
the American historical consciousness a uniqueness of the American national project. It is possible to
draw an analogy of conspiracy theories to the phenomenon of a witch hunt which cornerstone idea of
the underground group in society which is engaged in inhuman practice and threatens the existence of

Christopher French explains this phenomenon: Although conspiracy beliefs can occasionally be based
on a rational analysis of the evidence, most of the time they are not. As a species, one of our greatest
strengths is our ability to find meaningful patterns in the world around us and to make causal
inferences. We sometimes, however, see patterns and causal connections that are not there, especially
when we feel that events are beyond our control. Alongside from the biology reasons for believing in
conspiracies, there is an amount of works which show the existence of some individual
presupposition. Researchers have shown that conspiracy beliefs can be predicted the high level of an

Engma Machine Dbq
The reason as to why the Enigma Machine was a major objective and required a specific group of
people to solve was because it dictated how the Germans communicated and was an extremely
complex machine that only the most intelligent people could potentially solve. The Enigma Machine
was a code generating machine used by the Nazis during World War Two. What appeared to be a
typewriter in a suitcase, the Enigma Machine had essentially 4 main components to itself: the
keyboard, the lamp board, the plug board, and the rotors. The keyboard was arranged in a German
QWERTZ layout. The lamp board was also arranged in the same manner as the keyboard, however
with the lamp board, there were no buttons to press down on. Instead there were stencils of ... Show

The commercial Enigma Machine that was sold prior to the war had no plugboard, as the reason for
secrecy was not on the same degree as sending decrypted messages containing information such as
coordinates of an attack. The plug board was a component at the bottom of an Enigma machine that
resembled a telephone switchboard. There were once again the letters arranged in the German
QWERTZ layout and each letter had two sockets for an electrical lead to be connected to another
letter. Finally there were three rotors in every Enigma Machine: the fast, the middle, and the slow. To
add onto the complexity, there were 5 rotors to choose from. Each rotor would have 26 numbered ticks
to represent the 26 letters in the alphabet and for every letter typed, the fast rotor would turn once.
After turning 26 times, the middle rotor would turn once and the process would repeat until the middle
rotor turned a total of 26 times. Once the middle rotor turned 26 times the slow rotor would turn once.
Within each rotor was a complex maze of 26 wires that connected 26 contacts on the right hand of the
rotor to the 26 contacts on the

Ebola Epidemic Analysis
Background Information: Diseases have emerged and reemerged throughout history, claiming
thousands of lives. The infectious and/or contagious nature of a disease allows for its rapid spread
throughout a population, and thus, able to escalate quickly and claim a large portion of the population
before they are contained. Diseases such as Ebola or AIDS are usually fatal, and their lack of available
treatment fill people with dread and fear. The most recent outbreak of Ebola in 2014 experienced by
the South African countries, especially Liberia, Sierra Leone, and Guinea, is the largest Ebola
outbreak in history (Frieden, T. R., Damon, I., Bell, B. P., Kenyon, T., Nichol, S. 2014).. This virus has

In this hypothetical situation, I will assume that 1 person has arrived in Oakville, carrying the ebola
virus (assuming that they are able to pass undetected by the medical immigration authorities, at the
port of land of the foreign country). As there has never been an ebola epidemic in Oakville, I will
assume that there are no individuals who are immune to this disease, thus, the entire population of
Oakville, except for the 1 infected person is at risk of being infected by the disease. Then, I will use
the Kermack McKendrick model to derive an exponential equation, which will model the spread of
this virus throughout Oakville. Using this equation, I will be able to find the time required, in days, for
the entire population to be affected by the virus. I will define the point at which the entire population
is affected by the virus, to be that point at which there are no more susceptible people remaining who
are at risk of being infected by the disease. This means that all the people are distributed within the
categories of either being infected or recovered with immunity, or dead. I will then compare my
results to those of case studies, of countries such as Sierra Leone and Liberia which were affected in
the 2014

Comparing Romeo s Clothing In Romeo And Juliet
Romeo Romeo s clothing was exceptionally similar to that of his father s. His high ranking allowed
him to wear almost any clothes that he wanted. The style of slashing was common among the high
class. This allowed for the colors of clothing worn below to contrast against the outer clothing. A
plethora of exotic materials were worn by Romeo. From velvet to silk, he was allowed to wear it all.
His clothing had multiple elaborate designs all over. The colors that he wore were similar to his father
s. Gold and silver were the main colors worn by him. Juliet Like her mother, Juliet often wore the
colors of gold and silver. She did not wear any purple because she was of slightly lower class caused
by her young age. Gowns, partlets, and kirtles were often worn by Juliet. Her high class was reflected
in her clothing. Corsets and multiple petticoats helped achieve the small waist desired by the ladies at
the time. Juliet ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
With the high class that he possessed, he was allowed to wear clothes made of fine material. Woolen

time, wore extravagant hats as another way to show his upperclass. Breeches with slashes in them
were also worn by Tybalt. This was so the contrasting colors of inner layers were shown. Paris Paris
was a man of extremely high class. Clothing that was almost of the level of royalty was worn by him.
Being a kinsman of the Prince, he was often seen wearing purple and gold. He commonly wore

The Hero s Journey Theory
So what makes a hero? What must a person have to be considered a hero? Is it his or her strength,
powers, courage, morals, integrity, or knowledge? According to Joseph Campbell, a hero properly is
someone who has given his or her life to something bigger than himself or other than himself. So with
the help of Joseph Campbell s Hero s Journey theory, evidence will be given to prove why the Flash is
a hero, and not a cold hearted villain like Captain Cold. To start off we ll begin with Campbell s first
stage of the Hero s Journey. According to his theory, the story must begin where the hero was once
normal. To define normal regarding the Flash, the Flash would have had to be someone who existed
without any powers, living a regular citizens life, and oblivious of the adventures to come. So before
Barry became known as the Flash, he was first known as Barry Allen. Barry valued family, justice,
and the safety of everyone. He was a regular citizen who worked for Central City s police department
as a Police scientist, too. With the following being stated, we can conclude Barry was already a hero
before his special powers. First, Barry is working to fight justice as an employee of Central City s
police department. Secondly, he enjoys fighting for justice in general. And lastly, considering Barry s
personality and values he isn t selfish for power, disrespectful, dishonest, and greedy like most villain
characters. However, according to Campbell s Hero s Journey process, Barry

The Main Role Of Lord Vishnu And Lord Shiva
Vishnu is the middle god in the Hindu triumvirate (or Trimurti). The trio consists of three gods who
are responsible for the creation, upkeep and destruction of the world. The other two gods are Brahma
and Shiva. Lord Vishnu s job is to protect the people of Earth, restore, and to preserve. So his overall
theme is to protect the people of Earth. He reigns in Heaven with his wife, Lakshmi, the goddess of
wealth. Lord Vishnu weirdly enough originated when Lord Shiva rubbed nectar on his ankle1 (Shiva
Purana) .The Shiva Purana is one of eighteen Sanskrit texts in Hinduism. It primarily centers around
the Hindu god; Lord Shiva and the goddess Parvati, but references all gods. What makes Vishnu one
of the Trimurti, and so important to praise? Vishnu s purpose is to protect the people who live on
Earth. So his main theme is to protect people, specifically the people of the Hindu belief. So
everything Lord Vishnu does should boil down to, protecting Earth or the people of Hindu belief 2.
Vishnu lives in Param Padam, the supreme abode. In this place, liberated souls spend eternity living in
supreme bliss. He promises people who are well, eternal bliss which comes with protection in the
Param Padam. Vishnu would constantly come down to earth in the form of Lord Narayana in order to
deliver messages or to make sure that things are going according to the Divine plan. Lord Shiva would
protect people from doing bad and ruining their chances of going to Param Padam. Vishnu is the

The Importance Of Fate In The Aeneid
Is life pre ordained? In living, are we consciously making decisions that affect how our lives play out
or are people simply characters preforming from a script containing the information of all of time?
This concept of destiny verses human agency is a common thread through the epic poem, The Aeneid
by Virgil as Aeneas is destined to found Rome, and that Rome that he founds is destined to prevail and
be great. In The Aeneid, destiny is inevitable, because fate is inescapable and will come to pass in
spite of interfering situations as demonstrated in the catalogues of the shield of Aeneas and the
characters presented in the Underworld. Fate is unavoidable, but may not occur in the expected
method as demonstrated by Palinurus in the underworld. This is reminiscent of Greek oracle
prophesies of fate in which the fated future will always occur, but the path along the way is unknown
to humans. Palinurus was foretold [to be] unharmed at sea, yet was amongst those who did not have a
proper burial which brings the truth of the prophecy and fate into question. He had tried to escape
being harmed by being a helmsman, but was still killed because it was his fate. Fate got around the
obstacle of him being at sea, by being knocked overboard, [washed] close inshore in other words away
from the sea, and killed by natives (Virgil 998). It important to note that it was specifically mentioned
multiple times in this section that no god had interfered in this ordeal (Virgil 998). This must therefore
be a work of fate that lead to his death.
Fate occurs regardless of human agency as seen in the tales of Romulus and Remus and Manlius and
the goose. Romulus and Remus were abandoned by their human mother and excepted to die, but they
had a fate to fulfil so could not die. They ended up being cared for by a she wolf who is part of the
natural fate world, not the human controlled world (Virgil 1062).
This notion is continued later on the shield when Manlius, a human, was about to be ambushed whilst
sleeping, but was woken up by the silver goose (Virgil 1062). The Gauls [were] swarming the thickets,
about to seize the fortress, shielded by the shadows of night (Virgil 1063). They were ready. The time

The Nazi Youth Party
Much of Hitler s focus was to sculpt the minds of the youth, so they could eventually carry on the
Nazi ideology into the future. As Hitler s NSDAP grew, he strived to create a faction that was large
and contained loyal followers of all ages. The Youth League of the NSDAP was established in 1920,
but failed as it competed with other large youth groups. It was eventually outlawed after the failed
Beer Hall Putsch, but after Hitler was released from prison a new Nazi Youth Party was established.
The leader of this new Youth Party was Gustav Lenk, and this new party also had a slow start when it
came to membership. The League s growth was assisted by a party newspaper in 1922, which called
for all young Germans aged fourteen to eighteen to join ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Both organizations stressed outdoor activity, such as camping or hiking, but the Hitler Youth included
military training aspects and emphasis on racism. Hitler Youth members were taught boxing and
wrestling skills and also engaged in other physical games that usually resulted in large brawls between
multiple teams. The members were also trained to engage in racist activities that targeted Jews and
minorities. They were pressured to cut off relationships with Jewish friends in school and older
members were involved in the events of Kristallnacht and the arrest of Jews. The children s musical
talent was utilized by the group to create marching bands that largely consisted of drums and bugles.
Leaders of the Hitler Youth recognized the unifying effect of music on a community, so they valued its
power. Members were also trained in vocals to perform for Party leaders. The boys of Hitler Youth
had to participate in Tests of Courage . Many boys did not want to participate in these tests but were
compelled to in fear of being seen as a coward. These tests ranged from jumping into water from high
boards to scaling mountains with no safety equipment. These led to many injuries and some deaths.
The idea behind these exams was Social Darwinism; a main part of the Nazi doctrine (Hitler Youth
Activities, HBC).

Why Is The Great Gatsby Bad
The Tragic Essay Is there such a thing as running away from your problems, and right back to money?
Well there is an excellent book named The Great Gatsby written by F.Scott Fitzgerald, which was a
tragic ending that gives evidence on this topic. In the story, Nick the Narrator meets with his cousin
Daisy and her husband Tom at New York; however Tom is having an affair with a woman named
Myrtle. Daisy has an affair with a man named Gatsby. Gatsby is rich and throws parties seeking for
Daisy, the one he loves. So Nick is noticing all of this rising from the ground. In summary, Daisy and
Gatsby are in a car driving, and idiotic Myrtle jumps in front of them and gets hit. Daisy drove away
and Gatsby was blamed, so George the husband the husband of Myrtle retaliates and shoots Gatsby in
the chest. Gatsby dies and no one comes to his funeral not even Daisy the one he loved. So people like
Tom and Daisy are great examples of running from your problems, and go straight to their money.

Keeping A Diary Doubles Diet Weight Loss
Method Activity
1. Correlational vs. Causation The topic Keeping a Diary Doubles Diet Weight Loss seems to offer a
solution in relation to weight loss and keeping a diary. Therefore, without reading the article, the topic
offers an impression of a causal claim. Causal claims are supported by having independent and
dependent variable. The independent variable is the factor that can be manipulated to result to change
on another factor (Christensen, Johnson Turner, 2014). In other words, the independent variable
represents the cause while the dependent variable represents the effect in an experiment (Rea Parker,
2014). Therefore, the factor that is being manipulated to cause changes in the claim Keeping a Diary
Diet Weight Loss is the food diary; thus, the independent variable is food diary. The factor affected by
the independent variable, which represent the output is weight loss; thus, the dependent variable is
weight loss.
1.1 Justifying the Claim Based on the Research The research offers some grounds for supporting the
claim, but notable factors affect a direct link between keeping a food diary and double loss of weight.
Therefore, though the research supports the claim, the confounding factors, notable in the research,
such as compliance to support group meeting, adherence to DASH, and compliance to moderate
intensity level of exercises for at least 30 minutes can also have an influence on weight loss. It is
difficult to significantly isolate food records

Information Technology is the area of managing technology that spans a wide variety of areas that
include computer software, information systems, computer hardware, programming languages and are
not limited to things such as processes, and data constructs.
Anything that renders data, information or perceived knowledge in any visual format whatsoever, via
any multimedia distribution mechanism, is considered part of the IT domain. IT had already crept in
every nook and crannies of our lives, from e commerce up to mobile banking and social networking
sites and indeed information technology is an undisputable part of our social and economical life
today.

Russia s Peace Policy Essay examples
E.E.C. wrote a letter to the editor of The New York Times in 1899 to discuss their negative opinions
concerning the peace conference that Russia wished to set up between itself, England, and the United
States. They described how even though Russia s tsar might be sincere about wanting to hold this
international meeting, he also has a hidden agenda on his mind that he will not come right out and talk
about. The author thinks that Russia is being very deceitful, so other countries should pay close
attention and be weary of falling into their trap. The tsar might want world peace and prosperity like
he says, but he will do whatever it takes to increase Russia s power, status, and wealth.

This would be a huge problem for the entire world. As Sergei Witte, an advisor for both Alexander III
and Nicholas II, noted in his article, Program for a Commercial and Industrial Policy ,
Russia is an independent and strong power. She has the right and the strength not to want to be the
eternal handmaiden of states which are more developed economically...She is proud by her great
might, by which she jealously guards not only the political but also the economic independence of her
empire. She wants to be a metropolis herself. (Witte, 9)
Witte goes on to describe how Russia is starting to find their place in the domination of foreign
industry. He notes that even though the country is not running at its fullest potential right now, it will
be soon. Russians have a great capacity for work, along with the abundance of raw materials and
strong knowledge of agriculture. Now that Russia has disposed of the serfdom policies that have been
in place for many hundreds of years, it is on its way to becoming a foreign powerhouse. During the
time that E.E.C. wrote Russia s Peace Policy , Nicholas II was Russia s tsar. In 1905, he gave back
some of the Russian citizen s civil liberties when he was forced to sign the October Manifesto. Some
of these rights were included trial by jury

Short Term Memory Recall
Aim:
The aim of this experiment was to analyse the effects of an external auditory stimuli on a humans
ability to recall and retain visual stimuli, as well as to investigate the effects of age on the brains
ability to retain and recall the same visual stimuli for short time periods.
Introduction
Memories are the brains ability to retain information, whether that be long term or short term. For a
sensory input such as an image or a sound to be retained long term, it has to go through 3 main stages
or processes, where at each stage it can either solidify its position in or towards the long term memory
or be disregarded and forgotten. These 3 main stages are; sensory memory, short term memory and

Millers Law states that the short term memory can hold on average 7 distinct pieces of information at
a time give or take 2. These 5 9 fragments of data can be retained for up to a few minutes (3 5) but
unless a conscious effort has been made to remember the information it will only stay for
approximately 30 seconds. Within the prefrontal Cortex, the central executive has been found to play a
significant role in the short term memory. It serves as the temporary storage for information as well as
calling on information from the long term memory from other parts of the brain, These older pieces of

The Influence Of Art On The Good And The Bad
With great power, comes great responsibility , are the well known words uttered by Spider Man s
uncle, Ben Parker. It is not just a great quote from a movie, it also happens to be a universal idea
focusing on the moral and ethical considerations that an individual who yields a certain level of power
must make. This idea reins true in every aspect of life to include the vast world of art. Art is, without
question, very powerful. Art has the ability to influence people and cause change in their lives in both
the good and the bad. According to the Chicago Sun Times actor Bill Murray s life was saved once by
Jules Breton s famous painting Song of a Lark. The actor admitted that the painting stopped him from
having suicidal thoughts and gifted him a new hope for life(cite needed). This is a positive example
and this goes without saying there are negative ones as well. In other aspects Art also wields the power
to generate and manipulate emotion, which can then be harnessed to cause animosity and hatred
amongst mankind as done by the Nazi Party s propaganda films of World War II. Joseph Goebbels,
who was Nazi Germany s Minister of Propaganda prior to and during the war, used film as a machine
to generate an anti semetic campaign to influence the German people and rally them in support of a
master race. One such film, Der Ewige Jude (The Eternal Jew), 1940, which was a major project of
Goebbles, was created with the intent to paint the Jewish race as a parasitical bunch that

They have several aspects of agricultural pollution. At first, the soil erosion and sedimentation, the soil
is made up by many layers and the top one can support the agricultural growth or the grazing. The soil
is eroded by the teacher s annual decline in fertility. The resulting sedimentation causes soil build up
in areas then the agricultural pollution prevents the natural movement of the nutrients to other fertile

development of drought. The sedimentation of the river bed increases flooding and influence

Secondly, the pesticides and fertilizers are the largest damages for the pollution. The pesticides must

Essay on Gustav Stresemann
Gustav Stresemann
Gustav Stresemann was given the job of German Foreign Minister during the six years commencing

The effects of the war left much blame on Germanyand neighbours Austria, however Germanyfaced
the more vicious punishment. In June 1919 the Treaty of Versailleswas put into place. This forced
Germanyto pay mass redemption payments as part of this. It was Stresemanns job to control this; he
set about improving the relations with Britainand Francein an attempt to encourage a revision of the
Treaty. The German Nationalists were against the paying of the redemption payments however, but in
the running it would be of Germany s beneficial interest in order for the payments possible reduction.
The LocarnoAct in 1925 also could be based either for Germanyor for Europe. This pact meant
Stresemann accepting all western borders, however in Germany s best interest, it kept open the East,

Stresemann s main contribution into coming to terms with Europewas by joining the League of

of the German Nationalists this was seen as perhaps a wrongly taken move as some saw it as too

The Confusion Between Illusion and Reality in Death of a...
The line between reality and illusion is often blurred in Arthur Miller s play, Death of a Salesman.
Whether it is incorporated in the content or the actual structure, this struggle between recognizing
reality from illusion turns into a strong theme; it eventually leads to the downfall of Willy and his
family. Willy is incapable of recognizing who he is, and cannot realize that he, as well as his sons, is
not capable of being successful in the business world. Happy and Biff both go through some battle
between reality and illusion that cause a collapse in some part of their lives. The line between Willy s
flashbacks and current time also send him into turmoil when he cannot distinguish between the two.

The theme, confusion between reality and illusion leads to a downfall, applies here because in a way
suicide is the ultimate downfall. Charley, a voice of reason, counter argues that nobody s worth nothin
dead (98). Charley is consistently in reality and is one of the most successful people in the play. So,
the fact that Charley recognizes reality in the harshest and brightest light is what kept him from
experiencing a downfall in his life. If the Willy was not confused about the reality of his life, there
may not have been such a great fall when his life amounted to less than he expected, and when Biff s
life did not turn out to be what he had hoped. Apart from Willy s delusion of his own success, he also
sees his sons as great successes in the business world, and that they will amount to so much in their
lives. These boys cannot be successful because they have been [blown] so full of hot air [they] could
never stand taking orders from anybody (131). Willy s illusions about his sons not only ruined Willy s
life, but it caused these boys to have a false sense of reality, which is the theme. This false sense of
reality leads to their downfall in the business world because Willy had built them up so high that they
believed they should be the one giving the orders, not taking them. When Willy tells his boys together
[you] could absolutely lick the civilized world (64), this is an example of the way Willy falsely sees

There is a mighty king. The king s name is King Arthur. He had a best friend named Lancelot. Soon
King Arthur had too many knights for that old table. So King Arthur called the best carpenters in all

The townspeople could not decide. Suddenly a voice rose above the crowd. If you believe in ending

It was silent. The only sound was of a mouse munching on cheese.
We need to end this argument and have a table that we all can agree on! shouted the Queen.
Who made the Queen a King! Shouted a Knight. Soon the whole kingdom was in a civil war.
So the new table was square, but the dispute was still at large. King Arthur grew tired of Lancelot s

means of Triangulation. As developed by Hammersley (1996) and later on stated by Lee and Lings

Based on this method, the research strategy developed was to collect information on British

Why Does Shakespeare Use Comedy In Hamlet
Shakespeare uses comedy in many of his books, plays, and movies. Although this comedy is not
explicitly shown throughout his works, they are hidden in order to provide a release from all of the

comedy in order to relax or calm himself while going through a rough patch in life. Many of the other
characters used the same method in order to take away from the tension. All throughout this
play/book, the characters used comedy in different ways, yet they still are a breakaway from the focus.

Argumentative Essay On Sex Education
Transitioning from childhood to teenage years is already awkward enough for most girls, but the talk
is unbearable for some. Little do these young minds know that the scariest part of sex education is the
lack of accurate and detailed information. A shortage of information on their own bodies can have
grim effects on their sexuality later in life. Inadequate sex education for adolescents has consequently
set the foundation for an orgasm inequality, favoring men over women. The nation s incomplete
standards for sex education has consistently failed young women in teaching them enough about their
own anatomies. An interview has been conducted with an 18 year old cisgendered woman named
Carly. The purpose was to study how well an average young woman knows herself and her own
sexuality. Carly completed sex education in the state of Wisconsin. Currently in the united states there
are no federal laws that dictate a uniform sexual health education curriculum (Koepsel 2016). How,
and what is taught is left to each of the individual states (Koepsel 2016). As a result, a range of
information is being taught to Americans, but it may or not be favorable to the student s well being. It
seems rather controversial that local governments, which students can rarely participate in, choose the
fate of their sexual health education. It is an unfair system that ultimately allows only those who have
had extensive and medically accurate education a future in sexual well being. Carly explained

Thesis Statement On Capitalism And Capitalism
Introduction
Socialism and capitalism are two concepts that are used by governments in respective countries
regarding how the economies operate. The two concepts are based on political, economic and social
systems. The United States of America is an example of a capitalist country while Sweden is a
socialist nation. Apart from the similarity in which the government plays a role in the effectiveness of
the two systems, there is no discrimination in both systems regarding race, color or other arbitrary
classification. There are notable differences between the two systems based on ownership structure,

Effects of Social Darwinism Essay
Introduction
The Effects of Social Darwinism on the social trends of the 19th century.
As a world view, Darwinism cannot of course be refuted, since Faith is, always has been, and always
will be, stronger than facts. Francis P. Yockey
Social Darwinism is a theory that competition among all individuals, groups, nations or ideas drives
social evolution in human societies. The term draws upon Charles Darwin s theory of natural
selection, where competition between individual organisms drives biological evolutionary change
through the survival of the fittest. The term was popularized in 1944 by the American historian
Richard Hofstadter, and has generally been used by critics rather than advocates of what the term is

The first advocate of the social Darwinism theory had a major impact on the American society as a
whole, starting from economic bases, to the big business minds of the time. In the United States,
Spencer gained considerable support among intellectuals and some businessmen, including steel
manufacturer Andrew Carnegie, who served as Spencer s host during his visit to the United States in
1883. The most prominent American social Darwinist of the 1880s was William Graham Sumner, who
on several occasions told audiences that there was no alternative to the survival of the fittest theory.
Critics of social Darwinism seized on these comments to argue that Sumner advocated a dog eat dog
philosophy of human behavior that justified oppressive social policies. Some later historians have
argued that Sumner s critics took his statements out of context and misrepresented his views.
This picture depicts the idea behind social Darwinism. IT is a powerful society in which keeps the
wealthy, and powerful and kicks out the minority, poor folks who are no longer able to survive in such
a materialistic world.

Crystallization Is A Pure Substance
The main objective in crystallization is to produce a pure substance. A chemist is able to achieve this
by isolating the pure form from the impure form, using methods of dissolving, cooling/crystallizing,
and filtration. It is also important to select the best solvent to crystallize the material; the best solvent
shows the desired solubility behavior (Pavia et al 26).
These techniques were used to produce the pure forms of sulfanilamide and fluorene. After the
filtration step in the first experiment, the pure sulfanilamide appeared to be a mix of small, white and
yellowish crystals, resembling a powder. However, sulfanilamide should have crystallized into large
needles, which indicated that either there was too little solvent or the crystals formed too quickly. As
shown on Data Table 1, the percent yield was 69%, therefore implying that the crystallization of
sulfanilamide experiment was not completely successful a lower yield will indicate purer results.
Therefore, there are still amounts of impurities in the pure sulfanilamide. Several errors throughout the
course of the experiment could have contributed to a high yield, such as not adding enough solvent to
dissolve the solute completely, or not completely separating the crystals after crystallization. By not
separating the crystals, this most likely caused the crystals to regain its yellow color; the pure
sulfanilamide should have looked white. Another possible error could have not been letting the heated
solution with

of polyacrylic acid, itaconic acid, maleic acid, tartaric acid and water, while the powder is made up of
zinc oxide, magnesium oxide, aluminum oxide, and different reinforcing fillers. When mixed
accordingly, it is similar to zinc phosphate cement in terms of solubility and tensile strength. The pH

Boxing is a game with a long convention, with roots backtracking a great many years to the Olympics

Boxing is a sport with conventional rules, with longstanding history going back a huge number of
years to the era of the ancient Greeks olympics.1 Boxing can be classed as a direct interactive sport. In

play Death of a Salesman and in the novella Of Mice and Men . The American Dream is the idea that
any man or woman can make his or her own fortune, despite his or her past. The principles of the
American dream are hard work and determination it is believed that this will ensures success. Through
the creation of the main characters of the play and novella Arthur Miller and John Steinbeck show that
the American dreams is fraudulent.
During the 1920s and 1930s, the depression was a cause of major hardship and seemed to be a reverse
of the dream which people held dear for so long. Arthur Miller shows this through failure and
hopelessness of the American dream through the protagonist Willy Loman a leader of the Loman
family.Willy is the protagonist a salesman in his late 60s. In Of Mice and Men On October 4 1929,
millions of dollars were washed away in an event named the Wall Street crash. It led to the
hopelessness in America which led the country to a poor state in the country from 1930 1936.Many
people lost their life savings when banks had gone bankrupt, one third of Americas population was
became unemployed. Steinbeck s main characters George and Lennie are the part of the ones who fail
to achieve their dream. Lennie is large, childlike migrant worker. Due to his mental disability, Lennie
completely depends upon George, his friend and traveling companion, for guidance. The

Why Attend Law School
To illustrate why I want attend law school and become a lawyer, I must first say that I do not
remember ever in my life not wanting to be a lawyer. Growing up in a poor neighborhood of a third
world country, to poor parents, going to college seemed at times like an unreachable dream.
Personally, I consider myself blessed that I was born to an uneducated, yet a smart father, who,
thankfully, understood the importance of obtaining an education, even if that meant sacrificing other
of the few commodities we could afford as a family. While I can say I had the full support of my
family, close friends and even neighbors who bet on me to graduate from law school and become a
law professional who will fight their legal battles, I have to say that I also had detractors, who thought
I should had study to be a doctor, or an engineer. Of all those who opposed my attending law school,

Unfortunately, nothing I imagined prepared me for the events to come next: Relatives, who offered
help before I left, found themselves unable to help, also, turned out that after three years living apart
most of the time, marriage was not the same. On top of all that, financial limitations and language
barriers would not allow me to even get thru the doors of a law school, let alone attend one. Faced
with the dilemma of not being able to attend school, not having anything to go back to and the
responsibility of providing for my family, I decided to do the next best thing I could think of, and
joined the US Army. The US Army sent me to an intensive two and a half month of language training
at the Defense Language Institute, from where I went on to serve in different positions within the
Army for the next 20 years, retiring after the rank of

Struggles Of A Black Man
Struggles Of a Black Man Ballad of the Landlord is a poem by Langston Hughes that shows the
struggles of a black man in a white society. There are opposing forces that make this black man suffer
and he gets no retribution or any justice for the things that the people accuse him of. Through each of
these voices the poem is thoroughly explained and can be analysed in such a way. The forces in this
poem is the tenant, landlord, police, and the press. Each one of these forces shows the racial struggles
of an innocent black man. The main person in the poem is the tenant, which in the last line tells us, he
is black. The tenant is characterized by his slang and his strong dislike for the landlord. The tenant
uses slang, contracted words, and nonstandard grammar. This non formal way of English suggests the
tenant s separation from the world of convention, represented by the formal way of the police and the
press, which appear later in the poem. Although the tenant speaks in a non formal way, do not let that
fool you. The tenant s reason to be mad at the landlord is reasonable and just. He begins with a
reasonable complaint and a gentle reminder that the complaint is already a week old: My roof has
sprung a leak. / Don t you member I told you about it / Way last week? (lines 2 4). In the second
stanza, he appeals diplomatically to the landlord s self interest: These steps is broken down. / When
you come up yourself / It s a wonder you don t fall down (6 8). In the third

Energy Sources And Non Renewable Energy Source Essay
Intended Audience
Within this paper I wish to address two audiences, the first is best described as local homeowners who
are presently in the vicinity of windmills or who will be in the future, and are somewhat skeptical of
this renewable energy source. The second group that I wish to address are those who are deemed to be
environmentalists, who have a very strong faith in wind energy and other forms of renewables. Since
these two audiences can be quite different the way in which I address concerns are going to have to be
comprehensive to both.
With focusing first on locals, I wish to include the basic information on wind turbines so that all
aspects of this renewable energy source can be fully understood. I also will include a comparison of
wind energy to other forms of renewable energy sources and non renewable sources to point out
important numbers and values within the environment, the economy, and society. Locals have many
important needs, wants and values. They value their homes not only financially but in a family sense
as well, they value their health and safety. The want windmills to not have a negative effect on their
lives and at the same time have an efficient, inexpensive forms of energy that they can have access to.
When it comes to a problem having either a direct effect on themselves or the environment, most but
not all, would rather the environment take the hit. Their interest most likely does not lie within big
companies making big profits, they value

How Did Popular Music Affect The Civil Rights Movement
Music during the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960 s Music, and particularly cultural, social, and
political songs, has remained an essential facet of the longstanding tradition of uprisings and struggle
for change in American culture. It is difficult to fathom the passions and purposefulness of pop culture
music in the civil rights movement of the 1960s; thanks to the freedom songs, whose endeavor was to
mobilize and reinforce collective participation in the civil rights campaigns, demonstrations, and
protests (Stefani, 2015). The three songs from this period that exemplify popular music s role in
calling for positive change regarding civil rights included We Shall Overcome by Southern African
American tobacco workers, Ain t Gonna Let Nobody Turn Me Round by Freedom Singers, and People
Get Ready by Curtis Mayfield. We Shall Overcome , performed by one of the musical ensembles
Southern African American tobacco workers was one of the popular freedom songs during the civil
rights movement of 1960s. This song was emblematic of the civil rights period. Fundamentally, the
song accompanied the protests and explored the labor conditions for Southern African American
tobacco workers. The part of the song s lyrics that states I ll be all right someday is a clear illustration
of the hostile working conditions and thus the hope for a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

part of the song s lyrics follows: Ain t gonna let nobody, turn me round/ Turn me round/ Turn me

lyrics, the idea of remaining strong in the face of hostility is illustrated by the idea of keeping on

An Exploration Of The Pepcon Disaster And Its Aftermath
An Exploration of the PEPCON Disaster And Its Aftermath What began as normal repair work at the
Pacific Engineering and Production Company of Nevada (PEPCON) in May of 1988, resulted in
devastation. PEPCON was one of two manufacturing facilities of Ammonium Perchlorate (AP),
located in Clark County, NV, approximately 10 miles southeast of downtown Las Vegas (Lilley, 2012).
AP is an oxidizer that when combined with aluminum makes the base for solid state rocket fuel
(Dunbar, 2006). Due to the recent Space Shuttle Challenger disaster, all space exploration by NASA
was halted, and a stockpile of around 4,000 tons of AP built up and was stored onsite (Lilley, 2012).
The disaster was caused by repair work done after high winds damaged the ... Show more content on

4). Each of these materials is makes AP act as a class A explosive as explained in Appendix B. Also,
within many buildings at the PEPCON facility, dust control was either minimal or nonexistent, while
cleaning was only performed before safety inspections (Lambert Alvares, 2003, p.7). This led to
massive AP buildups on all flat surfaces which it is assumed exasperated the situation further once the
fire started (Lambert Alvares, 2003, p.7). The incredibly risky storage practices of this powerful
oxidizer made PEPCON a disaster waiting to happen.
The Facility And Its Safety Features The PEPCON facility was broken up into multiple buildings, the
most important of which to this incident is the batch drying building located in the southwest portion
of the facility (map of PEPCON is attached as Appendix A) (Routley, n.d., p. 22). The batch dryer was
used to blend and dry AP to prepare it for final packing, however, this facility was not suitable for this
work due to its construction. The building was constructed of combustible fiberglass with steel
supports (Routley, n.d., p.8). AP residue built up on the fiberglass and accelerated the fire out of
control once it started (Routley, n.d., p.8). This risk was known by PEPCON as there had been
previous fires in this building, however nothing was done to deter future fires (Case

St. Paul s Missions Essay
Introduction/Thesis The Apostle Paul (formerly Saul) is responsible for the spread of Christianity
throughout the areas of Asia Minor and Greece. Through his 3 mission trips to the region Paul created
a base of support for the Christian faith and implemented a support strategy for future growth. The
time period for his journeys was 45 AD 58 AD. The story of Paul is interesting from the perspective
that the man best known as the author of most of the New Testament started out as a devout Jew and
despised the Christian faith. After his conversion he made it his life s work to spread the Christian
message throughout the world. To this end, Paul made several mission trips to the area of Asia Minor
and Greece. Background The Apostle Paul ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As Paul reflects on his escape he starts to understand the need for reliance on another power (as in
God) After this Paul goes to Jerusalem, meets Barnabas, and is introduced to the Apostles. Paul stays
here for 15 days; during that time he preaches the gospel to the people of Jerusalem. For the second
time, Paul is driven out of a city in fear of his life. According to Acts 22:17; Paul was in the temple
and fell into a trance. God warned him to leave the city. Paul escaped to Caesarea, on to Cilicia Syria,
then to his hometown of Tarsus. Paul s plan for evangelism led him to what was considered the
civilized world of the Roman Empire, leaving to others the centers of Judaism Palestine, Alexandria,
and Babylon. Paul s movement westward was from Antioch to Cilicia, Galatia and Pamphylia, Asia
Minor, Macedonia and Greece, Italy, and Spain. Paul s strategic plan was to stretch churches and the
gospel from Antioch throughout the entire region. Paul s strategy was to take his teachings to the
metropolis areas instead of the smaller cities and towns. His thought was that his influence in these
large areas would bring others that could carry on his teachings into these regions. As past history
shows, Paul s timeframe for teaching is limited due to being driven out of the cities by force before his
work was completed. There were 2 cities where he was able to spend considerable time, Corinth and
Ephesus. These cities were of utmost importance to him and were

Technology and Teenagers Essay
Everywhere you go teens seem to be glued to their phones, tablets, or computers. Technology is an
addiction that does not seem to be going away any time soon. According to the Washington Post, teens
can spend up to seven or more hours on their digital devices a day and the usage is still increasing. Not
surprisingly enough, more than a third of all teenagers own a cellphone, ranging from a smart phone
or just a plain old school flip phone. But can spending all that time on their computers and smart
devices be such a bad thing? Today s easy access, always on world presents a wealth of opportunity
for teens as students, but also challenges them to retain them essential humanity and unique
personalities. The internet is home to all the known ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In Lavin, Korte, Davies). The result of the study further pushes the notion of how important it is for
school staff to understand the given technology so they can distribute the information effectively to
their students. All the technology in the world will be ineffective if the teachers themselves are not
passionate of their work. Technology has the potential to transform the learning environment from
passive to active and more subject to the control of the learner. (qtd. In Lavin, Korte, Davies). It is
unfortunate to say that everything teenagers search for online is not educational or socially acceptable
for that matter. For students who do use the internet to their educational advantage, grade higher than
those who abuse their privilege online. As McFarlane states, computer use alone, without clear
objectives and well designed tasks, is of little intrinsic value (qtd. In Lavin, Korte, Davies). McFarlane
states that structure and guidance is the only way to properly utilize the technology in classrooms.
Contrary to popular belief, Lowerison did not find significant relationship between actual computer
use and perceived effective computer usage on course evaluations (qtd. In Lavin, Korte, Davies).
Expectations of technology in classrooms can no longer be perceived as an exclusive feature and the
effects of the technology can no longer interest them (Lavin, Korte, Davies). Burbules and Callister

Budweiser Puppy Love Ad Analysis
Budweiser s Commercial Puppy Love
Budweiser s commercial Puppy Love aired during the 2014 Super Bowl had such a powerful
attraction to the audience that were watching. I look at the type of advertising strategy s Budweiser
used to grab the attention of many viewers. With all the attention, this commercial was getting that it
become one of the most viewed ad during the 2014 Super Bowl. The secondary research relates to
previous other works by most of my references state that Puppy Love is the most viewed ad during the

learning from this question is learning about the several types of advertising strategies and how each
strategy can be successful if used in the right context. The power of using people s emotions and
replacing human actors with animals, with who doesn t love animals. This entire secondary research

information to write about. Some of the information wasn t enough to even write about instead they
just showed statistics but not giving or explaining the reason why it was so popular as I hoped for.
Some recommendations I would say is Mel.org came in handy for many of the articles and maybe use
some different keywords that I couldn t think of might have a greater impact for my research. Overall

  • 2. Inuit Vs Eating Raw Meat Some people think that it wasn t ok for the Inuit to eat to all the parts of an animal or eating raw meat because it was either disgusting or bad for them because it causes diseases. Well they are half right. Actually eating raw meat can be good for people, because technically meat that is cooked is harder to digest than raw meat. It was right and ok for the Inuit to eat raw meat. The Inuit ate raw meat because they had very few natural resources and very few edible plants to eat. When food is being cooked the longer the person has it being cooked the more nutrients has been taken away. When food is cooked some of the vitamins like vitamin c and vitamin b, have been lost or taken away during the process of it being cooked. Cooked food has ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Indwelling Urinary Joint Commission released national patient safety goals for hospitals in January of 2016. These patient safety goals were established to help accredited organizations address specific areas of concern in regards to patient safety (Facts about the National Patient Safety Goals, 2015). National patient safety goal 07.06.01 focuses on the prevention of catheter associated urinary tract infections (CAUTI) in hospitalized patients. Evidence based practice should be implemented to stop these common infections occurring in patients nationwide. Indwelling urinary catheters are only recommended in certain patients, for example to prevent further breakdown of sacral wounds or pressure ulcers in incontinent patients, for comfort in end of life care ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In 2013, a magnet recognized hospital, Baptist Health Lexington, reduced CAUTI rates in ICU patients by 60% (Roser, Piercy Altpeter, 2014). The study included six interventions that were followed by the staff in the effort to reduce CAUTI. The six interventions included: communication of CAUTI data to interdisciplinary teams, a nurse driven, physician approved protocol, problem analysis using Lean principles, daily unit based surveillance rounds, silver alloy urinary catheters, and an antimicrobial bundle comprised of two cleansing products for patients with an indwelling urinary catheter (Roser, Piercy Altpeter, 2014). The nurse physician protocol allowed for nurses to assess whether the catheter was still necessary and if found not to be, the nurse could discontinue it. This resulted in a 58% decrease in the number of catheters used (Roser, Piercy Altpeter, 2014). An education session was implemented by nurses using principles from the Lean system that checked the capability of nurses to understand just how dangerous CAUTI can be. It was found that no single intervention alone could reduce the occurrence of CAUTI development. Nurses must integrate several interventions to have an effective result at lowering the rates. However, this particular study found that after the use of the antimicrobial bundle, rates of CAUTI did decline. Roser et al. (2014) emphasized that education and awareness of ... For this final paper, I would like to discuss the historical failures that came into light when Mr. Clifford Stoll (the author of Cuckoo s Egg: Tracking a spy through the Maze of Computer Espionage book) stumbled upon a $ 0.75 accounting error and the revelations that followed, its potential findings, risks and costs associated and why it is important to address and fix those security holes. Cuckoo s Egg is an interesting read and the author was successful in presenting to his readers the picture of beginning of Internet days (arpanet, then), network practices then. Despite of the fact that this book describes a real incident that in 1980 s, some of the findings are relevant and torment us even today. One of the major ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... One of the other failures that the book presents us is the user s weak password practice and how the intruder took advantage of this is to gain super user privileges and created several user accounts by gaining root privileges. All it takes is a one time access as super user to establish his base into the defenders zone. This book describes how the intruder took advantage of brute force method to hack user accounts and password. Also, the intruder was smart enough to steal the password information file and even managed to encrypt all the dictionary words by using the same encryption algorithm and then compared those words with the stolen encrypted passwords file to find out passwords of user accounts. The scientists/ researchers at the laboratories who are not aware of such kind of exploitations made intruder s work easy by having easy to guess passwords, never bothered to change the passwords from time to time or in fact did not realize the importance of having strong passwords in order to maintain and protect their research data in a safe and secure way. Even today, not all the users realize the importance of having strong/secure passwords and we come across such instances where intruders exploit users ignorance. We are so much more advanced and connected then back during the time of the Holocaust. A genocide started just 22 years ago and it was during the Bosnian War. Serbs who stayed friendly with Muslim neighbors or tried to protect them were considered traitors, and they were dealt with harshly (Ching). The prisoners in the camps were beaten, denied food and water, housed in horrific conditions, sexually assaulted, tortured, and finally killed (Bosnian Genocide). There was no food, little water, and a lot of fear (Bosnia 1995). Some detainees there were killed on a pyre of burning tires, while others were forced to load dead bodies onto trucks, or to dig their own graves. As many as fifty thousand Muslim girls and women, aged nine to sixty, were raped by Serbian soldiers and volunteers. This made them unfit, according to Muslim culture, to be either wives or mothers (Ching). The Serbian soldiers would declare after rape that the women had given birth to Serbian babies. Due to these incidents, many of the female captives lost all of their strength and suffered from a number of sexually transmitted infections. The first goal of the Serbs was to wipe out the educated, the intellectuals, the wealthy, and any other non Serbs who actively opposed their rule. By June 1994, fewer than 50,000 remained in their home and the area had been determined purified . (The Combat). Most Bosnian Croats and Serbs had the option of fleeing to Croatia and Serbia. • 6. Symbolism In Jesus Camp In 2006, directors Heidi Erving and Cahal Grady released Jesus Camp . The directors go to Devil s Lake, North Dakota to document a camp run by and for Evangelicals. Becky Fisher, the camp s leader, admits that society ought to indocrinate its children. The word evangelical means fervent or zealous. Becky Fisher furvently trains the children to develop a one sided perception of the world so they can take back America for Christ. While all Evangelicals do not behave this way, the directors present a group of these individuals and what they live for. In Jesus Camp , the directors create a political context, elements of juxtaposition and symbolism to promote the discussion of the following: when does education become indoctrination? With the presidential election of George Bush in 2005, Evangelicals felt empowered. He was a conservative and many of his political ideals aligned with the evangelicals . Becky Fisher utilizes the camp activities comminicate conservative political ideology to the children. In Jesus Camp , Becky Fisher denies the claim that her camp is politically inclined. Yet, her camp activities assert a different side of the argument. For example, the camp s leaders told the children that abortion is wrong. The camp s leaders spoke of Roe v. Wade and how it legalized abortion within the first trimester in the pregnancy. The leaders show what fetuses look like at different stages in the pregnancy. Some historians consider that the conspiracy was one of driving factors which has caused a reaction to an unequal policy of the British government and as the result, has caused the American revolution (1765 1783) (Baylin,1967). Analogs of conspiracy theories can be found also in Europe 16th century and 17th century. Both main motives of the American conspiratology (fear of external invasion and fear of internal diversion), in parallel developing and supplementing each other, emphasized the main idea of the American historical consciousness a uniqueness of the American national project. What appeared to be a typewriter in a suitcase, the Enigma Machine had essentially 4 main components to itself: the keyboard, the lamp board, the plug board, and the rotors. The commercial Enigma Machine that was sold prior to the war had no plugboard, as the reason for secrecy was not on the same degree as sending decrypted messages containing information such as coordinates of an attack. There were once again the letters arranged in the German QWERTZ layout and each letter had two sockets for an electrical lead to be connected to another letter. Finally there were three rotors in every Enigma Machine: the fast, the middle, and the slow. To add onto the complexity, there were 5 rotors to choose from. Each rotor would have 26 numbered ticks to represent the 26 letters in the alphabet and for every letter typed, the fast rotor would turn once. After turning 26 times, the middle rotor would turn once and the process would repeat until the middle rotor turned a total of 26 times. The infectious and/or contagious nature of a disease allows for its rapid spread throughout a population, and thus, able to escalate quickly and claim a large portion of the population before they are contained. Diseases such as Ebola or AIDS are usually fatal, and their lack of available treatment fill people with dread and fear. The most recent outbreak of Ebola in 2014 experienced by the South African countries, especially Liberia, Sierra Leone, and Guinea, is the largest Ebola outbreak in history (Frieden, T. Then, I will use the Kermack McKendrick model to derive an exponential equation, which will model the spread of this virus throughout Oakville. Using this equation, I will be able to find the time required, in days, for the entire population to be affected by the virus. I will define the point at which the entire population is affected by the virus, to be that point at which there are no more susceptible people remaining who are at risk of being infected by the disease. This means that all the people are distributed within the categories of either being infected or recovered with immunity, or dead. I will then compare my results to those of case studies, of countries such as Sierra Leone and Liberia which were affected in the 2014 ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 14. The Hero s Journey Theory So what makes a hero? What must a person have to be considered a hero? Is it his or her strength, powers, courage, morals, integrity, or knowledge? According to Joseph Campbell, a hero properly is someone who has given his or her life to something bigger than himself or other than himself. So with the help of Joseph Campbell s Hero s Journey theory, evidence will be given to prove why the Flash is a hero, and not a cold hearted villain like Captain Cold. To start off we ll begin with Campbell s first stage of the Hero s Journey. According to his theory, the story must begin where the hero was once normal. To define normal regarding the Flash, the Flash would have had to be someone who existed without any powers, living a regular citizens life, and oblivious of the adventures to come. So before Barry became known as the Flash, he was first known as Barry Allen. Barry valued family, justice, and the safety of everyone. He was a regular citizen who worked for Central City s police department as a Police scientist, too. With the following being stated, we can conclude Barry was already a hero before his special powers. First, Barry is working to fight justice as an employee of Central City s police department. Secondly, he enjoys fighting for justice in general. And lastly, considering Barry s personality and values he isn t selfish for power, disrespectful, dishonest, and greedy like most villain characters. • 16. The Importance Of Fate In The Aeneid Is life pre ordained? In living, are we consciously making decisions that affect how our lives play out or are people simply characters preforming from a script containing the information of all of time? This concept of destiny verses human agency is a common thread through the epic poem, The Aeneid by Virgil as Aeneas is destined to found Rome, and that Rome that he founds is destined to prevail and be great. In The Aeneid, destiny is inevitable, because fate is inescapable and will come to pass in spite of interfering situations as demonstrated in the catalogues of the shield of Aeneas and the characters presented in the Underworld. Fate is unavoidable, but may not occur in the expected method as demonstrated by Palinurus in the underworld. This is reminiscent of Greek oracle prophesies of fate in which the fated future will always occur, but the path along the way is unknown to humans. Palinurus was foretold [to be] unharmed at sea, yet was amongst those who did not have a proper burial which brings the truth of the prophecy and fate into question. He had tried to escape being harmed by being a helmsman, but was still killed because it was his fate. Fate got around the obstacle of him being at sea, by being knocked overboard, [washed] close inshore in other words away from the sea, and killed by natives (Virgil 998). It important to note that it was specifically mentioned multiple times in this section that no god had interfered in this ordeal (Virgil 998). This must therefore be a work of fate that lead to his death. Fate occurs regardless of human agency as seen in the tales of Romulus and Remus and Manlius and the goose. Romulus and Remus were abandoned by their human mother and excepted to die, but they had a fate to fulfil so could not die. They ended up being cared for by a she wolf who is part of the natural fate world, not the human controlled world (Virgil 1062). This notion is continued later on the shield when Manlius, a human, was about to be ambushed whilst sleeping, but was woken up by the silver goose (Virgil 1062). The Gauls [were] swarming the thickets, about to seize the fortress, shielded by the shadows of night (Virgil 1063). They were ready. The time ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Correlational vs. Causation The topic Keeping a Diary Doubles Diet Weight Loss seems to offer a solution in relation to weight loss and keeping a diary. Therefore, without reading the article, the topic offers an impression of a causal claim. Causal claims are supported by having independent and dependent variable. The independent variable is the factor that can be manipulated to result to change on another factor (Christensen, Johnson Turner, 2014). In other words, the independent variable represents the cause while the dependent variable represents the effect in an experiment (Rea Parker, 2014). Therefore, the factor that is being manipulated to cause changes in the claim Keeping a Diary Diet Weight Loss is the food diary; thus, the independent variable is food diary. The factor affected by the independent variable, which represent the output is weight loss; thus, the dependent variable is weight loss. 1.1 Justifying the Claim Based on the Research The research offers some grounds for supporting the claim, but notable factors affect a direct link between keeping a food diary and double loss of weight. Some later historians have argued that Sumner s critics took his statements out of context and misrepresented his views. This picture depicts the idea behind social Darwinism. IT is a powerful society in which keeps the wealthy, and powerful and kicks out the minority, poor folks who are no longer able to survive in such a materialistic world. • 36. Crystallization Is A Pure Substance The main objective in crystallization is to produce a pure substance. A chemist is able to achieve this by isolating the pure form from the impure form, using methods of dissolving, cooling/crystallizing, and filtration. It is also important to select the best solvent to crystallize the material; the best solvent shows the desired solubility behavior (Pavia et al 26). These techniques were used to produce the pure forms of sulfanilamide and fluorene. After the filtration step in the first experiment, the pure sulfanilamide appeared to be a mix of small, white and yellowish crystals, resembling a powder. However, sulfanilamide should have crystallized into large needles, which indicated that either there was too little solvent or the crystals formed too quickly. As shown on Data Table 1, the percent yield was 69%, therefore implying that the crystallization of sulfanilamide experiment was not completely successful a lower yield will indicate purer results. Therefore, there are still amounts of impurities in the pure sulfanilamide. Several errors throughout the course of the experiment could have contributed to a high yield, such as not adding enough solvent to dissolve the solute completely, or not completely separating the crystals after crystallization. By not separating the crystals, this most likely caused the crystals to regain its yellow color; the pure sulfanilamide should have looked white. Another possible error could have not been letting the heated solution with ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Many were traditionally used for routine cementation through the nineteen ninety s and since have been replaced by newer makeup and mixing techniques. The selection of cement for a specific procedure requires knowledge of the chemical and physical properties of each particular cement for the specific restorative process to be performed. This first cement I m going to discuss is Glass Ionomer Cement. Glass ionomer cement is one of the most versatile types of cement in the dental field. It was originally polyacrylic acid and has changed over to polyalkenoate cement. This had been used for permanent cement for cast restorations, stainless steel crowns, and orthodontic bands. This maintains its versatility as a nonirritating base under composite and amalgam restorations and intermediate restoration. The chemical makeup for polycarboxylate cement comes in a liquid made up of polyacrylic acid, itaconic acid, maleic acid, tartaric acid and water, while the powder is made up of zinc oxide, magnesium oxide, aluminum oxide, and different reinforcing fillers. When mixed accordingly, it is similar to zinc phosphate cement in terms of solubility and tensile strength. The pH increases rapidly as the material sets, and 24 hours later, it causes it to become similar to zinc phosphate, but is less irritating to the pulp. It is supplied in a squeeze bottle or calibrated syringe type liquid dispenser, which can be mixed on a nonabsorbent paper pad or a cool, dry glass slab.. The fifth and final I m going to discuss is Zinc Phosphate Cement. This cement is one of the oldest types of dental cements in use and is classified as Type I (fine grain) and Type II (medium grain). Type I is used in permanent cementations such as bridges, crowns, onlays, and inlays. Type II is recommended for the use of insulation of the base for deep cavity preparations. • 42. Struggles Of A Black Man Struggles Of a Black Man Ballad of the Landlord is a poem by Langston Hughes that shows the struggles of a black man in a white society. There are opposing forces that make this black man suffer and he gets no retribution or any justice for the things that the people accuse him of. Through each of these voices the poem is thoroughly explained and can be analysed in such a way. The forces in this poem is the tenant, landlord, police, and the press. Each one of these forces shows the racial struggles of an innocent black man. The main person in the poem is the tenant, which in the last line tells us, he is black. The tenant is characterized by his slang and his strong dislike for the landlord. The tenant uses slang, contracted words, and nonstandard grammar. This non formal way of English suggests the tenant s separation from the world of convention, represented by the formal way of the police and the press, which appear later in the poem. Although the tenant speaks in a non formal way, do not let that fool you. The tenant s reason to be mad at the landlord is reasonable and just. He begins with a reasonable complaint and a gentle reminder that the complaint is already a week old: My roof has sprung a leak. / Don t you member I told you about it / Way last week? (lines 2 4). How Did Popular Music Affect The Civil Rights Movement Music during the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960 s Music, and particularly cultural, social, and political songs, has remained an essential facet of the longstanding tradition of uprisings and struggle for change in American culture. It is difficult to fathom the passions and purposefulness of pop culture music in the civil rights movement of the 1960s; thanks to the freedom songs, whose endeavor was to mobilize and reinforce collective participation in the civil rights campaigns, demonstrations, and protests (Stefani, 2015). An Exploration Of The Pepcon Disaster And Its Aftermath An Exploration of the PEPCON Disaster And Its Aftermath What began as normal repair work at the Pacific Engineering and Production Company of Nevada (PEPCON) in May of 1988, resulted in devastation. PEPCON was one of two manufacturing facilities of Ammonium Perchlorate (AP), located in Clark County, NV, approximately 10 miles southeast of downtown Las Vegas (Lilley, 2012). AP is an oxidizer that when combined with aluminum makes the base for solid state rocket fuel (Dunbar, 2006). Due to the recent Space Shuttle Challenger disaster, all space exploration by NASA was halted, and a stockpile of around 4,000 tons of AP built up and was stored onsite (Lilley, 2012). Each of these materials is makes AP act as a class A explosive as explained in Appendix B. Also, within many buildings at the PEPCON facility, dust control was either minimal or nonexistent, while cleaning was only performed before safety inspections (Lambert Alvares, 2003, p.7). This led to massive AP buildups on all flat surfaces which it is assumed exasperated the situation further once the fire started (Lambert Alvares, 2003, p.7). The incredibly risky storage practices of this powerful oxidizer made PEPCON a disaster waiting to happen. The Facility And Its Safety Features The PEPCON facility was broken up into multiple buildings, the most important of which to this incident is the batch drying building located in the southwest portion of the facility (map of PEPCON is attached as Appendix A) (Routley, n.d., p. 22). The batch dryer was used to blend and dry AP to prepare it for final packing, however, this facility was not suitable for this work due to its construction. The building was constructed of combustible fiberglass with steel supports (Routley, n.d., p.8). AP residue built up on the fiberglass and accelerated the fire out of control once it started (Routley, n.d., p.8). This risk was known by PEPCON as there had been previous fires in this building, however nothing was done to deter future fires (Case ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Through his 3 mission trips to the region Paul created a base of support for the Christian faith and implemented a support strategy for future growth. The time period for his journeys was 45 AD 58 AD. The story of Paul is interesting from the perspective that the man best known as the author of most of the New Testament started out as a devout Jew and despised the Christian faith. According to Acts 22:17; Paul was in the temple and fell into a trance. God warned him to leave the city. Paul escaped to Caesarea, on to Cilicia Syria, then to his hometown of Tarsus. Paul s plan for evangelism led him to what was considered the civilized world of the Roman Empire, leaving to others the centers of Judaism Palestine, Alexandria, and Babylon. Paul s movement westward was from Antioch to Cilicia, Galatia and Pamphylia, Asia Minor, Macedonia and Greece, Italy, and Spain. Paul s strategic plan was to stretch churches and the gospel from Antioch throughout the entire region. Paul s strategy was to take his teachings to the metropolis areas instead of the smaller cities and towns. His thought was that his influence in these large areas would bring others that could carry on his teachings into these regions.
