Storyboard based on gothic horror

2. • Hannah is seen at her desk,
doing her school work on the
computer.

3. • She begins to feel really tired.

4. • Eventually she falls asleep.

5. • However when she wakes up,
everything seems dull and
gloomy.
• She realises that something
isn’t right.

6. • She gets up from her chair to
go downstairs and see where
her mum is.

7. • As she’s walking out of her
bedroom, there is an over the
shoulder shot of a dark figure
(the villain)

8. • Wide shot of Hannah looking
confused outside her
bedroom door.

9. • She continues to walk down
the hallway to see if her mum
is around.

10. • Tracking shot of Hannah
walking down hallway.

11. • As she’s walking she feels as if
someone is watching her.
• Mid shot is used here.

12. • Close up of her face as she
hears a loud thud.

13. • She turns around and see’s
nothing.

15. • Carries on walking down the
hallway.
• Tracking shot is used once
again.

17. • Back to the camera shot used
as she carries on walking
down the dark hallway.

21. • Close up of Hannah’s facial
expressions.

23. • Hannah’s first encounter with
the villain.
• Mid shot used to show villain.

25. • Hannah gets scared and runs
back to the other end of the
hallway.

29. • Looks for something in
bedroom that she could use
as a weapon.

30. • Picks up the tennis racket to
defend herself again the
villain.

31. • Walks back out of the room
to fight the villain.

35. • Villains taps Hannah on the
shoulder to capture her.

36. • Close up of Hannah
screaming.

37. • Mid shot of Hannah as she
wakes up from her
nightmare.
• Colour of the world around
her is restored.

39. • She feels a sense of relief.

40. • Walks out of her room to look
for her mum.

41. • Wide shot is used when she
walks into the living room
and finds a letter.

Hannah reading the card
which states ‘RIP Hannah. We
all love and miss you’.

43. • Close up of Hannah looking
stunned and confused.

44. • Side shot used to view
Hannah’s facial expression,
and to also get a glance of the
outside world from the
window.

45. • Hannah walks towards the
window, and finds that
everything is very dark,
cloudy and gloomy.

46. • Tracking shot of Hannah
walking towards the front
door.

48. • Mid shot of Hannah’s shock
to what she see’s.

49. • Camera zooms out.

52. • She came to the realisation
that she is actually trapped
inside her nightmare, and
there is no escape for her.
