IDEA 2 (5)
• Girl accidently dies her hair blue. Veronica is dying it for her to give her subtle highlights, using foil.
• We see the friend washing it out and Heather lifts her head up to and look in the mirror, and her face drops. Veronica runs out
in panic and laughter.
• Why? It’s the latest trend but hers goes terribly wrong.
• Girl: 18 years old and very good student in terms of grade and no detentions, but teachers and classmates don’t give her any
attention. Called: Heather. Friend: Veronica. Shy but not at home or around V.
• However this misfortune is in her favour, as before no one ever noticed her, now they do and start recognising her. She has
power and now, well-known amongst the school.
• She gets mixed up with the wrong crowd, things turn bad and she looses her one friend, Veronica. Heather isn’t known as
Heather, her ‘cool, new mates’ changed it to Rosie.
• What turns bad? Heather is noticed by the ‘popular kids’ and She leaves out Veronica who then goes and makes new friends.
Heather doesn’t pay much attention to that as she is too bust using her ‘popularity’ to do bad things. Such as bully others or
get out of work and gets herself in a lot of detentions with calls home too, so disappointed parents.
PART 2
• It isn’t until, her ‘cool friends’ tell Heather to spread a rumour about Veronica. Heathers goes and tells Veronica what she’s
done and V is beside herself. Then Heather realises what she’s done. Her ‘cool mates’ overhear the conversation and have a
ago at Heather and embarrass her in front of everyone.
• Now she has no friends, terrible grades and a disappointed family.
• Now she starts using her power and status to do good for her classmates, school and leaves a legacy.
• She can inspire students all over the school because she is the person everyone now looks up to. She is the lead in the school
show and decides that on the last night, in front of all her peers, so-called friends, and close family to make a change.
• She dyes her hair back to normal that next day and is no longer recognised. A few people still know that its her, Veronica and
her friends make a group of friends including Heather. They like her for what she’s done to improve the school.
• Although people don’t give her the credit now her hair is back to normal, her mates know and the legacy still goes on. Making
her school life bearable.
• Her improvement include: Teachers being more enthusiastic about the subject. Better resources. A change in the school ethos
and explain that you don’t have to be cool and popular to succeed in life. As it’s only now she realised she was already
succeeding in life, great grades, no disciplinary record and extremely proud parents.
