PIPER ™ SMART HOME SECURITY
With a focus on apartments, condos, vacation properties and small
business offices, Piper offers an integrated monitoring capability
interoperable with smart phone communications. We worked with
the Piper engineering and marketing team from product inception
through ID concept, user testing, technology integration, design and
mechanical development, manufacturing collaboration, and finally

4. MASS FIDELITY
TheONE ™ BLUETOOTH LOUDSPEAKER
Building on its startup success with the RELAY high performance Bluetooth
receiver, Mass Fidelity has introduced TheONE, a versatile and stunningly
clean-sounding Bluetooth speaker. Starting with an electro-acoustic prototype,
we developed a design that spoke to simplicity in use and power in
performance. Crisp, purposeful surfaces and controls are floated on a
polished aluminum plenum, tuned and detailed to deliver bass that rocks.
Beyond its primary focus as a compact, portable audio product, TheONE
incorporates the capability to serve as a wide-stage soundbar, and as a multiroom sound hub.

5. DEFINITIVE TECHNOLOGY
SOLOCINEMA XTR ™ POWERED SOUNDBAR
Introduced in 2012 and immediately cited as “an industry benchmark” and “design
triumph” the SoloCinema XTR is a high point in our work with Definitive Technology.
We were responsible for not only the industrial design and early stage mechanical
development of all components including a custom remote, but also the creation of all
graphic marketing collateral. The result is a consistently clean, user-centered product
set, with matching POP packaging and intuitive setup instructions.

6. DEFINITIVE TECHNOLOGY
MYTHOS ST-L “SUPER TOWER” LOUDSPEAKER
As a redesign of the award-winning Mythos ST loudspeaker, the Mythos ST-L is Definitive
Technology’s 2014 flagship audio product. We worked with Definitive’s marketing
and engineering teams to refresh all external product features including drivers, user
interfaces, surface detailing, base design, and leveling mechanisms.
To date, our design work on the Mythos ST series has won 4 CES Innovations Awards.

7. NIKON METROLOGY
HIGH PRECISION LASER METROLOGY
Working on precision equipment for rugged environments has taught us
to let functionality drive the agenda. Experienced users will recognize in
our projects with Nikon a consistent and organized design response that
emphasizes setup, operation and servicing efficiency. This, coupled with
elegant detailing in a no-nonsense product, is the source of a strong brand
statement across this series of Nikon instruments.

8. Wi3 Inc. WiPNET
MoCA HOME NETWORKING
Wi3 is the 2012 CES Best of Innovations Award winner with its game-changing digital
networking product series WiPNET, a solution for delivering Ethernet and CATV over
existing coax cables. Gibson Product Design fulfilled the tasks of industrial design,
mechanical development, and technology integration in this startup project. By playing a
central role we were able to create a simple, unobtrusive yet compelling product solution
from a complex set of electronics packaging and installation challenges.

9. JDSU MAP 220
FIBEROPTIC TEST & MEASUREMENT
As a team that has collaborated over a ten year period, JDSU engineers
and Gibson Product Design have developed a leading series of bench-top
test instruments for the telecom environment. JDSU’s strengths in fiberoptics
technology and manufacturing are coupled with our abilities in design
and ergonomics. The outcome is a high utility, tough, go-anywhere
package surrounding a core of sophisticated electronics components.

10. TRUENORTH AVIONICS
STYLUS ™ AVIATION HANDSET
TrueNorth provides airborne in-cabin communications for business and private
aviation applications. This handset, the de facto user interface for a typically
sophisticated and demanding user, required the incorporation of an array
of high-end capabilities in an elegant, accessible design. Our contribution
extended through industrial design, technology integration, and mechanical
development for manufacture in plastics and die-cast aluminum.

11. TRIPLETLIGHT® MUSIC STAND
CONFIGURABLE LED LIGHT AND STAND SYSTEM
“See Music in a New Light” is the by-line for TripletLight, a radical re-thinking of how concert
musicians illuminate sheet music. The key feature is a light bar that distributes light evenly from top
to bottom of the page while controlling side-to-side bleed. Integrated to a proprietary design stand
and support system, TripletLight can be configured for top or bottom lighting, and for up to three
units wide. Working with Jack McGowan, TripletLight’s visionary musician/inventor, we designed
all physical and optical aspects of this revolutionary product.

12. ECOSOL TECHNOLOGIES
TABLET/SMARTPHONE CHARGERS
PowerTrip and PowerShot compact chargers from Ecosol Technologies are marketed
as custom-branded corporate gifting products. Winner of a CES Innovations Award in
2011, these products are an instant hit with both giver and receiver. Our small, versatile
team delivered all design phases including manufacturing transition and NPI support.
