 In my portfolio I summarizes the different topics that we
tackle in Educational Technology 2
 Educational technology lend familiarization on how
educational technology can be utilized as media for the
avenues teaching learning process in school, uplift the
learner to human learning through the use of technology
 Educational Technology in the Asia Pacific Region shows
that the different country in Asia is now progressive and
advance in using technology in learning like in Singapore
the teachers use internet or gadgets in teaching. The other
countries that is progressive in using technology are New
Zealand, Australia, Malaysia and Singapore.
 There are different basic concepts on integrating
technology in instruction which are the blending learning,
the use of mobile devices, the interactive white board, the
Pod casting and the last is virtual fieldtrip.
 In State-of-the-art ET Application Practices. There are
some practices they can adopt which technologies before
are not so obsolete today it changes in pedagogical
theory and practice that the students became computer
literate.
 It Enters a New Learning Environment. There are
different learning that an IT classroom can give to the
students which are the meaningful learning, discovery
learning, generative learning and constructivism.
 In adopting the learning outcomes of higher thinking skills
and creativity there are framework that is very helpful to
synthesize many models that you may use in teaching
and learning.
 Higher Thinking Skills Through IT-Based Projects. The
four types of IT based projects that can be used in order
to engage students in activities involving a higher plane
of thinking. These four are: Resource-based Project,
Simple creations, Guided Hypermedia Projects and web
based Projects.
 Computers as Information and Communication
Technology. The computers help the learners to learn
more and to make easier work. By using software and
application that is very helpful to the students.
 The Computers as a Tutor. The computer can be a tutor
by means of application that can be useful in learning but
it cannot totally replace a teacher because the teacher is
the one who has a major role in teaching a students.
 The Computer’s Capabilities. Based on the two learning
theories, the teacher can employ the computer as a/an:
An information Tool, A communication Tool, A
constructive Tool, As co- constructive Tool, A situating
Tool.
 I.T. in Support of Student-Centered Learning. The
traditional classroom arranged in net columns and rows
of students chair and teachers stand in front of the
classroom while in Student-Centered Classrooms the
students individually or group performing computer
activities.
 Cooperative Learning with the Computer. Cooperative
learning is learning with others by making activities using
computer that they can exchange ideas.
 The Software as an Educational Resource. It’s more
difficult to realize, however, that the computer hardware
can hardly be useful without the program or system that
tells what the computer machine should do. This is also
called the software. There are two kinds of software: the
system software and the application software.
 . Understanding Hypermedia. Hypermedia is nothing but
multimedia, but this time packaged as educational
computer software where information is presented and
student activities are in a virtual learning environment.
 The Internet and Education. The internet has a big
impact nowadays in learning of students. It is a big help
to students to learn easier and to learn more.
 I learned that computer has a big impact in learning it can
help the students to learn more and can make the
activities more easier. But it cannot totally replace a
teacher because we all know that learning with teacher is
has a major role in teaching a student.
 Educational technology helps us to be more creative and
bring out the higher thinking skill of us. It can make our
learning more enjoyable and interesting because
nowadays the student like me is more engaging in using
technology in making assignments and activities.
 I learned that educational technology is not just a
technology that you use in learning. But a technology that
has deeper impact in our learning that we can learn
more.
 I learned the different types of software or application
that may I use as I enter the field of education as a future
educator. It can help me or the teacher to teach easily
and more catchy to the new generation of students
whose more engage in using technology.
 The student learned how to use and understand the
different application and software that can be helped in
there learning.
 The students learn to handle a computer and know
what's the purpose of educational technology that they
can apply in their learning and everyday life or tasks.
 In this portfolio we can understand why we discussed this
topics to learn more that educational technology is a big
help in learning and teaching.

My Portfolio in Educational Technology

  • 2.  Name: Sarah Mae B. Arangusti  Course: Bachelor of Elementary Education- Major in Early Childhood Education  School: Cavite State University- Don Severino Delas Alas Campus  Third Year College
  • 3.  In my portfolio I summarizes the different topics that we tackle in Educational Technology 2
  • 4.  Educational technology lend familiarization on how educational technology can be utilized as media for the avenues teaching learning process in school, uplift the learner to human learning through the use of technology
  • 5.  Educational Technology in the Asia Pacific Region shows that the different country in Asia is now progressive and advance in using technology in learning like in Singapore the teachers use internet or gadgets in teaching. The other countries that is progressive in using technology are New Zealand, Australia, Malaysia and Singapore.
  • 6.  There are different basic concepts on integrating technology in instruction which are the blending learning, the use of mobile devices, the interactive white board, the Pod casting and the last is virtual fieldtrip.
  • 7.  In State-of-the-art ET Application Practices. There are some practices they can adopt which technologies before are not so obsolete today it changes in pedagogical theory and practice that the students became computer literate.
  • 8.  It Enters a New Learning Environment. There are different learning that an IT classroom can give to the students which are the meaningful learning, discovery learning, generative learning and constructivism.
  • 9.  In adopting the learning outcomes of higher thinking skills and creativity there are framework that is very helpful to synthesize many models that you may use in teaching and learning.
  • 10.  Higher Thinking Skills Through IT-Based Projects. The four types of IT based projects that can be used in order to engage students in activities involving a higher plane of thinking. These four are: Resource-based Project, Simple creations, Guided Hypermedia Projects and web based Projects.
  • 11.  Computers as Information and Communication Technology. The computers help the learners to learn more and to make easier work. By using software and application that is very helpful to the students.
  • 12.  The Computers as a Tutor. The computer can be a tutor by means of application that can be useful in learning but it cannot totally replace a teacher because the teacher is the one who has a major role in teaching a students.
  • 13.  The Computer’s Capabilities. Based on the two learning theories, the teacher can employ the computer as a/an: An information Tool, A communication Tool, A constructive Tool, As co- constructive Tool, A situating Tool.
  • 14.  I.T. in Support of Student-Centered Learning. The traditional classroom arranged in net columns and rows of students chair and teachers stand in front of the classroom while in Student-Centered Classrooms the students individually or group performing computer activities.
  • 15.  Cooperative Learning with the Computer. Cooperative learning is learning with others by making activities using computer that they can exchange ideas.
  • 16.  The Software as an Educational Resource. It’s more difficult to realize, however, that the computer hardware can hardly be useful without the program or system that tells what the computer machine should do. This is also called the software. There are two kinds of software: the system software and the application software.
  • 17.  . Understanding Hypermedia. Hypermedia is nothing but multimedia, but this time packaged as educational computer software where information is presented and student activities are in a virtual learning environment.
  • 18.  The Internet and Education. The internet has a big impact nowadays in learning of students. It is a big help to students to learn easier and to learn more.
  • 19.  I learned that computer has a big impact in learning it can help the students to learn more and can make the activities more easier. But it cannot totally replace a teacher because we all know that learning with teacher is has a major role in teaching a student.
  • 20.  Educational technology helps us to be more creative and bring out the higher thinking skill of us. It can make our learning more enjoyable and interesting because nowadays the student like me is more engaging in using technology in making assignments and activities.
  • 21.  I learned that educational technology is not just a technology that you use in learning. But a technology that has deeper impact in our learning that we can learn more.
  • 22.  I learned the different types of software or application that may I use as I enter the field of education as a future educator. It can help me or the teacher to teach easily and more catchy to the new generation of students whose more engage in using technology.
  • 23.  The student learned how to use and understand the different application and software that can be helped in there learning.
  • 24.  The students learn to handle a computer and know what's the purpose of educational technology that they can apply in their learning and everyday life or tasks.
  • 25.  In this portfolio we can understand why we discussed this topics to learn more that educational technology is a big help in learning and teaching.
