2. What have you done?
■ I have done a questionnaire that was given to female teens mainly as they are the
target audience for my film , these questions were given to know the expectations of
my audience .
What are they expecting too se?
What kind of props are they expecting too see in a horror movie
In addition to asking my friends and family ( who did not do the questionnaire) about their
opinions and I have got extra results that helped me in having more answers and deciding
what I need to include in my film
3. Who are my audience?
■ My audience are female teenagers that enjoy watching horror
movies and teenagers who mainly enjoy being scared , as well as
that the main character of my movie is a teenage girl that is a victim
which as a stereotype intrigue female teens as they would be
worried about her , which will help the audience wanting to
continue watching the film.
■ I also think my audience are Explorers who seek discovery and are
energetic and would like to have a lot of puzzles going on in a film
they watch.They could also be Strugglers who seek escape.
4. Audience expectations
■ In horror movies audience are expecting too see a puzzle or something unexpected to
happen through out the film in addition to the conventions like sounds they will be
wanting to see creepy soundtrack In the background and dark lighting . Concerning
props horror movie fans will expect to see props like knives and guns . Also they will
be expecting mainly close shots as they create suspense I have added some of these
conventions to fulfill audience expectations I used a creepy soundtrack in the
background and I have used a lot of close up shots
5. Audience Engagement
■ I will engage mu audience by the background music and the types of shots . I addition
to the enigma I am going to create with the storyboard itself and how unusual it is to
see a friend who is dead.
