Elementary school classrooms should be vibrant, inviting, and interactive. My first observation was in a second–grade classroom, followed by an
observation in a third–grade classroom. I observed classrooms at East Haddam Elementary School from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 a.m. on the 12th of October. I
spent two hours in each classroom. There were seventeen students in the second–grade classroom, eight boys and nine girls, and one teacher, Mrs.

The students either worked together to achieve a goal, or were playing matching games in which the child with the most number cards would win.
The children were learning basic addition, and identifying if one quantity is less than or greater than some other quantity. While some students got
slightly competitive, many of the children were aware of the purpose of playing the games. Several students stated that it did not matter who wins
because the games are supposed to be about having fun. After each group of children had a turn at each math center game, the children each
retrieved a book from their backpack and began independent reading. While reading, the children were permitted to sit wherever they would like
throughout the classroom, and Mrs. Caron called the names of four students who were allowed to pick out one of many stuffed animal bears from
around the room to hold or sit with while they read. Mrs. Caron explained to me that everyday a new group of four children is selected to use the

This classroom did not have computers in it. The classroom did have learning centers they had four centers a center where the library center, where
there was a bookshelf of books and a table for the students to read their books. Another center where the students do their work, there are three tables
and a whiteboard where the teacher writes her lesson and what she going to do in class. The third center in the playing center were all the toys are,

Students, who have ADHD have trouble focusing in class, are easily distracted, have very short attention spans, have trouble following through and
completing projects, often jump around between tasks, and following simple conversations and instructions. This would obviously make being

I have visited the Cranbury Presbyterian Nursery School and have observed the classroom in great detail during my last three visits. In this preschool
classroom, there are usually 8–10 students present whose ages are from 2 to 2 ВЅ. There are also three adult staff present without including myself.

I would use reinforcements when the student displayed the desired behavior. It is important to use a reinforcement that the student is interested in, so

Weblogs have become easier to use over the past few years. Blogging software has improved immensely and one does not need to know html code to
have a weblog on the internet (Australia). There are simple guides and tutorials posted on the internet to help those who lack knowledge in the
interactive journal experience. Most of the specialized software is publicly accessible through different servers including Xanga, blogspot, and
Schoolblogs. These servers do not require that you download any tools and they are free to the public. Stach (2004) suggests, when registering for a
weblog, very little information is required and anonymity is reserved. "Weblogs offer a communication medium that is more structured that an e–mail
list and more focused than a discussion board" suggests Kajder (2003). Weblogs are also hyperactive, meaning that the author of a blog has the ability
to place links within their writings (Stach 2004). This gives us the capability of posting interesting findings on the internet for others to read (Stach
