2. The Case
 Herein, we present coronary and peripheral
angiographic pictures of an adult male
patient whose clinical data are
unfortunately unavailable to us. The
coronary angiography looks normal,
however, abdominal aortography reveals
complete absence of flow in the left
common iliac artery (CIA) with a very faint
opacification of the left femoral arteries.
Therefore, we expect that the clinical
presentation of this patient was a severe
ischaemia of the left lower limb. 2

18. Comment
 It is a common routine to carry out
coronary angiography at the same time
of peripheral angiography either
because of association of coronary
artery disease (CAD) with peripheral
artery disease (PAD) or to rule out
asymptomatic CAD. This practice
reflects the systemic nature of
atherosclerosis which is the
pathological process responsible for
both CAD and PAD.
