1. JAVA
Java is an object-oriented programming language expressly designed for use in the distributed
environment of the Internet. Java was introduced by Sun Microsystems in 1995.
J2EE, JMS,J2ME(Java 2 Platform Micro Edition),JAVASCRIPT, JQ SERIRS, AJAX, JDBC
. NET
Microsoft's web services architecture. . NET is the brand name for a set of proprietary Microsoft
frameworks and technologies founded on XML web services standards.
ORACLE
The world's largest database and application software vendor founded in 1977 by Larry Ellison. The
Oracle database was the first DBMS to incorporate the SQL language and to be ported to a wide variety
of platforms. Oracle also offers a variety of development tools.
DATA WAREHOUSE
A large store of data for analysis. Organizations use data warehouses (and smaller 'data marts') to help
them analyze historic transaction data to detect useful patterns and trends. First of all the data is
transferred into the data warehouse using a process called extracting, transforming and loading (ETL).
Then it is organized and stored in the data warehouse in ways that optimize it for high-performance
analysis. The transfer to a separate data warehouse system, which is usually performed as a regular
batch job every night or at some other interval, insulates the live transaction systems from any side-
effects of the analysis, but at the cost of not having the very latest data included in the analysis.
C++
C++ is a general-purpose programming language. C++ is regarded as a mid-level language, as it
comprises a combination of both high-level and low-level language features.[1] It is a statically typed,
free-form, multi-paradigm, usually compiled language supporting procedural programming, data
abstraction, object-oriented programming, and generic programming.
C++ in 1979 at Bell Labs
UNIX
UNIX is "an operating system typically written in C, with a hierarchical file system and integration of file
and device I/O, whose system call interface includes services
DataStage
A data extraction and transformation program for Windows NT/2000 servers that is used to pull data
from legacy databases, flat files and relational databases and convert them into data marts and data
warehouses. Formerly a product from Ascential Software Corporation, which IBM acquired in 2005,
DataStage became a core component of the IBM WebSphere Data Integration suite.
ERP: Enterprise Resource Planning
ERP is a business management system that integrates all departments and functions across a company
into a single computer system that can serve all those different departments' particular needs. –Oracle
Applications, SAP, PeopleSoft, JDEdwards, BaaN
COBRA, JMS, MQ
2. Message oriented middleware
TIBCO
Tibco makes integration server software for enterprises. An integration server allows a company to mix
packaged applications, custom software, and legacy software for use across internal and external
networks. Tibco's patented approach is called Information Bus (TIB)and Tibco says that it has been used
in financial services, telecommunications, electronic commerce, transportation, manufacturing, and
energy.
Middleware
Middleware is a general term for any programming that serves to "glue together" or mediate between
two separate and often already existing programs. A common application of middleware is to allow
programs written for access to a particular database to access other databases. Typically, middleware
programs provide messaging services so that different applications can communicate

Database:
A database is an organized collection of information.
DataWarehousing:
A data warehouse is a relational/multidimensional database that is designed for query and
Analysis rather than transaction processing. There are 3 types of Data warehousing.

3. Adapters for integrating with leading call center, business, content, and email
systems
ERWIN
It is a database design tool that lets you create logical and physical data models and generate the SQL
for the design.
Ajax
(Asynchronous JavaScript and XML) is a method of building interactive applications for the Web that
process user requests immediately. Ajax combines several programming tools including JavaScript,
dynamic HTML (DHTML), Extensible Markup Language (XML), cascading style sheets (CSS), the
Document Object Model (DOM), and the Microsoft object, XMLHttpRequest. Ajax allows content on
Web pages to update immediately when a user performs an action, unlike an HTTP request, during
which users must wait for a whole new page to load. For example, a weather forecasting site could
display local conditions on one side of the page without delay after a user types in a zip code.
PowerBuilder
Is a popular rapid application development (RAD) tool for building object-oriented programming
client/server applications the parts of which can be distributed within a network. PowerBuilder is a
product of Sybase, a company that has historically been a leader in selling products for building
distributed and replicated database in networks.
SAP
Systems Applications and Products." The original SAP idea was to provide customers with the ability to
interact with a common corporate database for a comprehensive range of applications. Gradually, the
applications have been assembled and today many corporations, including IBM and Microsoft, are using
SAP products to run their own businesses.
WebSphere
Web Sphere is a set of Java-based tools from IBM that allows customers to create and manage
sophisticated business Web sites. The central WebSphere tool is the WebSphere Application Server
(WAS), an application server that a customer can use to connect Web site users with Java applications or
servlets.
