2. In my magazine cover, my
main image attracts my
target audience. It does this
through the use of having a
young model with slightly
orangey lighting. This
represented him as peaceful
and georgeous as orange is
usually the appearance of
the sky at sun rise and sun
set. When sun rise or sun set
occurs people usually see it
as a gorgeous and peaceful
occasion and scenery.
Analysis of My Front Cover.
My masthead
attracts/addresses my
audience through the
use of the common Hip
hop masthead
convention. This
convention is having the
colours bright red and
white within the
masthead. These
colours stand out and
blend together in a
unique fashion which
then catches the eye of
the audience.
These three secondary
images addresses/
attracts my audience.
They do this by making
the audience seem
curious on who the
people are. This will then
cause them to look into
it.
The purpose and intention of
this strap line is to catch the
attention of the audience. It
does this through the use of a
provoking question for Hip
Hop fans. This will then lure
the audience in to check out
more within the magazine.
3. Hip Hop Magazine Cover Research
This is my Hip Hop magazine cover research where I analyzed a magazine cover
and found out what addresses the audience. I found that the main image plays
a huge role. This is like my magazine cover where the main image plays a huge
role in addressing the audience.
4. Masthead
The purpose and intention of my masthead is to catch the eye of the
audience and bring them to look at the other things in the magazine cover
like the main image, headline etc. This will then eventually draw the
audience to look into the magazine. It does this through the use of the
colours bright red and white which do not blend in with everything else
within the magazine cover however, they stand out and are noticeable for
the audience to see.
5. Masthead Research
This is image below is part of my masthead research in which I analyzed a masthead. I analyzed this
masthead and I realized that it garbs the attention of the audience pretty effectively, this is because all
of the letters are in capitals and there is a use of red within the font. This corresponds to the
characteristics of my masthead as seen below. My masthead also has the colour red in it and all capital
letters within the font. This then has the same affect of addressing/attracting the audience.

6. My Research
The research survey I did on Survey Monkey showed
me that people said that in Hip Hop magazines there
are many bad anecdotes. The photo on the left is a
screen grab from my research. Therefore I included
in my Hip Hop magazine an interesting anecdote
which is about a Hip Hop artist who helps people in
their struggles in life and has a passion for it. This is
an interesting anecdote as not every Hip Hop artist
does and has this.
