• Work with a partner to develop a guided
reading lesson. Everything you will need is in
the folder provided:
– The mentor reading passage
– Sample teacher lesson plan
– Comprehension strategies & text forms/features
– Blank lesson template for Guided Reading
Guided Reading Lesson Plan
• Decide on a comprehension strategy/text form
suited to this passage
– Design a guided reading lesson using the template
given (and the sample as a guide) for a small group of
students
• Draft a recording tool that you could use to
assess each student and draw it on the sheet
provided. Post on the LA bulletin board
Examine the many DI resources posted
on Sakai
• Add any you would like to retrieve at a later
time to your curation tool (e.g. Diigo)
