2. • IPC owns five magazine divisions, these are
known as the following – Connect, Inspire,
Ignite!, Southbank and TX. As well as these
leisurable magazines, they own NME which
is a music magazine that helped inspire my
magazine.

• The music magazines in which this
publisher provides are – Q, Mojo and
Kerrang. All three magazines which
are advertised on their website are
digitally known as having a male
demographic.
The magazine institution which I would like to distribute my
magazine would ideally be ‘Bauer Media Group’ this is due
to the fact that they currently distribute magazines that
surround rock and pop, and seeing as my magazine is Indie
pop this is more likely to perform better. As well as this I
think they would be more likely to distribute my media
product to a mass market rather than small scale audiences
which would not help promote my magazine and give it a
popular name. Bauer Media Group is also digitally active,
they not only promote physical magazines they own a
website, radio and a television channel. This exceeds their
promotion for my media product and allows it to get more
attention than if I chose a different Publishing company.
3. Through the distribution of Bauer Music Group, they would be able to
promote my product to extremes and be able to provide the right attention
to be able to capture more possible consumers. This could lead to my
media magazine then extending to possibilities of radio shows and
advertisements on television music programmes then through this people
will be more inclined to buy the product within stores. Therefore gaining
more revenue and extending the content to more international places that
can access the appropriate formats of BMG. I chose BMG because they are
one of the largest media institutions and would know the best ways to get
my media product across the creative industry, however although my
magazine would ideally be processed by this music institution I would
create it to become a sister publication to the other magazines sold instead
of a rival company due to the population of the other magazines this may
make my magazine less popular and may have other target audiences
through distaste towards my magazine and this wouldn’t be ideal. On my
contents page and double page spread as well as my cover page I adapt my
magazines website clear on the skyline so it allows the audience other
ways to find my brand instead of just the print magazine they can locate
the digital version. The illustration shown within my magazine by including
my web URL, allows a habit to form so my target audience will come to my
produced magazine for all their information and music choices. This helps
encourage brand loyalty so my chosen advertisers will continue to fund my
magazine production.

4. As well as the promotion in which the magazine company provides, I am able to access promotion for my media product
through the distribution across many large social media sites such as Twitter or Instagram. Using twitter I could distribute my
magazine through using sponsored hashtags that help audiences find my product and show interest in my creation. Using
Instagram I can ask various user accounts to upload generated content fitted to their users common likes, by doing this
accounts which follow different types of Indie bands or artists can be informed when my magazine is out and they are able
to obtain the digital version via Instagram or google or the printed version that could be accessed from many off license
shops or bigger shopping markets. Another way in which my media product could be distributed is through gigs, tours or
adverts that are printed physically shown in shopping malls or streets. This could promote the magazine to be popular within
live action shows that represent Indie pop music, and by doing this many different target audiences may decide that the
content in which my magazine represents may be for them and this could lead to them subscribing to the overall company
which distributes my media product.
Adorn would be a WEEKLY magazine priced at £1.99 an issue, which is a similar price to the magazines that BMG distribute.
There will be more advertisements in my magazine than the others which are issued monthly as mine are more recently
produced and there are more music videos which come out and the charts change faster and this would need to be
advertised within my magazine to promote the media product to attain more readers.
