Content help page (1)
1.
2. Originally, I started the construction of my content page by
adding the essentials/generic convections of a magazine content
page, such as masthead and sub-heading. Firstly I added my
masthead of “loving this week” to my content page, this
masthead suggests that this page will be all about the popular
music related favourites of this week. Implying recently and
currently, both features in which my target audience enjoy when
it comes to earing news, as they like to be the ones that find
things first. I positioned my masthead in the top left third of the
page, coming into the top middle third. I decided to position it
just over to the left third to imply that it still had importance as
it’s overlaying into the middle. However positioned mainly off the
middle focus to suggest it is not as important as the real
content/information which will be featured in the middle third of
the page.
I added both of these features in a top banner so that they stands
out more against the background. Also implying importance as
they are the only features included in the top banner suggesting
they are significant compared to other features.
Then I added my sub-heading, which was the name of my music
mazagine. I decided to make the text of this smaller than my
masthead with a less dominant colour so that it wasn’t taking the
attention off the main heading of the page. However I still I made
the text size big enough so that it was easily visible to reader, to
imply if they see if often it will become memorable and well
known. Also I position this in the middle right third so that it
wasn’t taking the attention/spotlight from the other/more
significant features.
In addition to this I added a 70% transparent layer over the majority of the glitter background, so that all the features could be
seen clearer and bolder over the vibrant background. I done this so the colour of the background didn't interferer with the
visibility of the text and other features.
3. Next I started to add my sub-images which would later be
used to frame the information with the most importance.
I decided to do this as I think framing the main focus
makes it stand out much more. Making it obvious to the
reader that this feature is of significance, as everything
also is surrounding it but not in the middle along side it. I
choose the most appealing and professional images from
my original photoshoot with my models, as I think the
most appealing/attractive images would intrigue and grab
the attention of my target audience by noticing these
image and wanting to read on.
Then I began to start adding my sell lines and captions
below my sub images to provide the reader with extra
information on the topic image above, suggesting this will
persuade people to read on knowing more on what it will
be about.
In addition to this I then started to number my main
article pages, so that they would be quick and easy to
locate within the mazagine. The beginning of this
organisation step made my content page look
professional and easier to understand when looking at it.
4. In addition to this, I started to create my table page, with
page numbers to each and every features article in the
magazine. This step made my content page look much
more professional and structured as it included the generic
convention of content table. To create my content table I
added another transparent box overlay so that the
information would be seen bold and clearly over the other
coloured features, with no struggle or interference. I
decided on having a heading for this table to enforce
importance to this feature and separate it from the other
less significant features , as it is an significant part of the
content page and needs to be seen by the readers.
