Time:
After School. The initial
shoot took place over
approximately 2 hours.
Location of Shoot: Haydon
School – Drama Studio/Black
Box
Personnel Required: (inc. details of role)
Director/camera person – Myself
Actor – Mary Medrana
The model release form has been
signed and I do have contact details
for the actor who is willing to partake in
the filming of this music video at school
in the Black Box
Equipment Required:
Canon 550D DSLR Camera
Steadicam
Lighting
Details of shoot: (scenes)
The shoot will consist of an attempt to film the video in its entirety, if not then get enough
footage to start editing together ASAP. The lights will be set up around the room and I will
film the actor who will be sat in the centre with the lights focused on them. I will hopefully
be able to use a variety of camera shots, angles and movements including panning, close
ups and over the shoulder shots.
(update 05/02/15) I have decided that another day of filming will be necessary so that will
take place today due to the fact some of the shots in the video are blurry due to the
camera being out of focus, also I believe it is important to make sure that I have enough
footage and will not run out as quite a lot of the footage is the same. The plan for today is
to shoot most of the shots that I take within close proximity of the actor and the props who
will be sat in the centre of the room (black box).
Special Requirements: (inc. details of props/costumes needed, preparation required)
I will need to make sure that the equipment is set up prior to the filming of the video in
order to save time, but also to make sure that I am not wasting the actor’s time. I had to
ensure that I booked the room prior to the date I needed it to make sure that nobody else
will be in need of it, but also to make sure that there would not be a class in there. I will also
need to make sure that I remember to instruct the actor on w hat clothes they should either
bring with them or wear to school that day as well as any makeup or hair equipment I will
need to use to make sure that I achieve the look I wish to acquire. Another small task I
could do prior to the filming is making sure that the camera settings are correct otherwise
filming in the wrong settings would be detrimental to the editing process as I would lose
time having to film the video all over again, this also ensures that the quality of my video is
high.
