Story outline
‘Steve’, a 16/17 year old who has just moved to Hartlepool from Middlesborough
with his parents walks his dog through a dense forest area, talking to his best
friend on the phone as he walks. The friend warns him about the “haunted
mansion” he is close to. Being a typical teenager, he brushes off his friend
warnings with a sarcastic laugh.
3. Suddenly, his dogs scare, running off in the direction of said mansion. And his
phone signal break up, eventually glitching until it doesn’t work. So he gives
chase, calling out to them as he goes.
The dogs bark from inside the mansion and he goes inside, chuckling slightly. But
still creeped out. He finds the dogs sitting in a room with only the windows for
sunlight.
A small wooden box is sitting in the corner of the room, and he cautiously
approaches it. When he opens it, it reveals a small cracked mirror… and a woman
ghost peering over his shoulder; reflected by the mirror.
The titles roll as music plays.
(Stuff that isn’t in the 2 minutes, but we came up with it anyway)
The next second, ‘Steve’ wakes up in his bed with his dog licking at his face. He
relaxes, thinking it was all a dream. However, when he looks across at his desk…
the box is there.
The friend he was talking to in his ‘dream’ phones him and asks him to a party
later that day. He agrees to go and gets on with his day, not paying any heed to
the box on his desk.
At the party, ‘Steve’ meets a girl and they hit it off right away. And, when he
reaches to get his phone from his pocket, he pulls out the mirror instead.
Throughout the movie, Steve learns the origin of the mirror and the mysterious
ghost. However, it is too late. The ghost develops a fixation on him and he slowly
goes insane.
It ends with the ghost smirking at the camera, as she is finally the only person
‘Steve’ cares about.

Cast List
For this movie, we are looking for quite a few actors. But there are only two or
three main characters. One for ‘Steve’, one for the ghost, and one for Steve’s
friend Greg.
Steve:
Teenage male, age 16-17. The actor we have in mind is Matthew Napper.
4. The only concern with this character is that Matthew is going to have to run for a
while, and also control a dog. It shouldn’t be too hard, but animals can be
unpredictable. So we’re going to have to help him out with the dog.
The Ghost:
Teenage girl, age 16-17. The actor we have in mind is Katrina (we don’t know her
surname, so just her first name).
The only concerns we have with this character is the amount of stage make-up or
face paint, she is going to have to wear in order to make her look dead.
Steve’s Friend (Greg):
Teenage male, age 16-17. The actor we have in mind is Ben Thompson. There
aren’t any concerns with this character as he is only on screen twice. One of
which is during a phone call.
Of course, we need a dog. But Regan has gave us permission to use her dog,
Mishca.

Overview
Our piece is based on the idea of the 2012 move ‘the Possession’. It includes an
old box, which is possessed by a ghost. However, we have changed it up so it
doesn’t even have remotely the same story line or outcome.
Steve stumbles upon an old box while out walking his dog. He opens it and the
ghost inside develops a fixation on him. This continues until the end of the 2
minute film, simply showing how she slowly destroys his life.
5. Outline
Synopsis
Steve is walking his dog through the woods, talking to his friend (Greg) on the
phone. Suddenly, his dog starts pulling on the lead and runs off into the forest,
much to Steve’s annoyance.
He chases after the dog, after hastily saying goodbye to Greg, the way the dog
ran.
Eventually, he finds her sitting in the back garden of a wrecked house hovering
over an old box. which is revealed to contain a small mirror.
He picks it up, and a ghost is standing behind him. Cut to black screen.
