1. Ciliated epithelial cell of
bronchus
• Found in throat lining
• Hair like projections are
called as cilia they can beat
like a wave
• Wave like motion removes
dust and germs from lungs

2. Sperm cell
• The head contains
special chemicals which
allow it to digest into an
egg cell and join with it.

•Designed to
Fertilise eggs.
•A sperm is small and has
a long tail that provides
movement so it can swim
and find an egg cell.
•Found in the Testes

3. Striated muscle fibres
• Contains proteins actin
and myosin
• Found in muscles
• The proteins slide over
each other and help in
movement of muscles

4. Nerve Cell (neurone)
•They are long
•They have connections at each end
•Can carry electrical signals
•Their job is to carry nerve impulses to different
parts of the body.

•Found in blood
•Large surface area
•Contains a special chemical to hold oxygen

•They are found in plants
•Main function is transport of food
in plants
•They are living even though

attached to them which help them
perform their function

•Found in lower epidermis of
leaves
•Main function is gas exchange
•Made of two kidney shaped
guard cells
• The guard cells open when they
become turgid and close when
flaccid .

8. Root Hair Cell
• Designed for
absorbing.
•Thin cell wall
makes it easy
for minerals to
pass through.
•Has a large
surface which
helps it to
absorb water
and minerals.
•Found in a plant root.
