Aims: Identifying meanings and information of a recount text, Reading recount texts
This book provide a picture of two fishermen, who are figured by two men in a raft and
going to sailed in the sea, when suddenly plane falls.
In the real life, fisherman also often figured by men. It’s reasonable because the risks of
being a fisherman are also big and danger:
• This job will take you away from home for weeks or months at a time.
• The work is strenuous.
• Fishermen risk getting injured or killed on the job. Drowning causes most injuries and
fatalities.

Aims:
Identifying the structure of a procedure text
Reading procedure texts
Many pictures in this book which are showed
students, they are consisting of two students: a girl and
a boy. It’s fair enough because in the real life the men
and women chance to be students or educated is equal
or same. Not limited by gender or sex.

Men Pictures (Stupid Men and Foolish Three Sons: in the narrative)
Chapter II, page 35 and 39.
Aims: Identifying the structure of a narrative text, Reading narrative texts, Developing a
paragraph of a narrative text, Writing a narrative text.
It’s quite unique because in this book, men are often called stupid or fool. It is
proved by two narratives in this book have characters stupid man and three foolish
sons. Definitely, this is not like what happen in the real life. Thing that men are
mostly smart is undeniable, not all of them are fool or stupid. All of us, men and
women, have our smartness related to our skills.

This book chooses to figure an archer by a strong
man. In the real life, of course, archers are consisting of
men and women. It has become a popular sport and has
been a favorite activity to both women and men.

This book chooses a woman to figure a news anchor. This kind of
profession is universal in the real life. In daily activities, when we
watch news we will see many news anchors both men and women.

This book figured the soldiers by using three men in
a picture. Well, we can say that in the real world women
soldiers has become a common thing. In North Korean
and some Middle East Countries has legalize even
almost-obliged women to go to military training.

This had been a worldwide knowledge that soccer player is
mostly men, although there is also a league for women. This book
sees that men are more related to soccer, so (maybe) that’s why this
book toke man as a figure of soccer player.
