2. Circulatory System
- is also known as the body’s
transport system.
- Blood is used to carries oxygen, nutrients
and to remove carbon dioxide and other
wastes from cell.
- The transport system consist of HEART,
BLOOD, VESSELS and LYMPATHIC SYSTEM.
3. A typical person has
around four to five liters
of blood in the body.
5. Open Circulatory Systems
-blood is pumped from the heart through blood
vessels but then it leaves the blood vessels and enters
body cavities, where the organs are bathed in blood, or
sinuses (spaces) within the organs.
7. Closed Circulatory Systems
-The blood remains inside the blood vessels and
does not come out. The blood flows from arteries
to veins through small blood vessels called
capillaries. The closed type of circulatory system
occurs in most of the Annelids, Cephalopods and
Vertebrates including man.
