• By now we all must have learnt to create a
Quiz or Worksheet using Google Forms.
• In this OER, we will learn about scheduling a
quiz (Google Form) in the Google Classroom
for the purpose of assessment of the students.
• Let us follow the steps to schedule a quiz on
google classroom.

Step 1: Open the Google classroom by logging
into the corporate account (iul email ids)

Step 2:Select the class in which you want to
schedule a Test or Quiz

Step 3: After the google class page opens click on
‘Classwork’ tab

Step 4: In the ‘Classwork’ tab click on create .

Step 5: Click on Quiz Assignment to create
one.

Step 6: Give the title, instructions and remove the blank quiz by
hitting the cross button since you have already created one in your
drive

Step 7: Click on Add button to add the quiz file from your Google
Drive which is the first option available.

Step 8: Now browse the Quiz file to be uploaded from your ‘Google
Drive’ by following the path where you have created it in the classroom.
For Ex. : I have created one in EC208 classroom folder.

folder where it has been created

Step 9: Select the Quiz File and Click on the Add Button

Step 10: After filling appropriate Title, Instructions and choosing the
right quiz file, Set the Point value for the Quiz.
For Ex: 25points for midsem test.

• Now, comes the part which is most important and
aims to reach the objective of this OER.
• That is, how to schedule the Start time of the
Quiz/Test and the End time of the Test.
– Suppose the test start time is 15/05/2020 at 10:00AM
– And the test end time is 15/05/2020 at 10:45AM
– That is the total duration of the test is 45 min.
• Keeping this in mind, lets do the desired settings.

Step 11: Click on Due button to set the Due date to 15/05/2020 at 10:45

Step 12: Now click on the down arrow button adjacent to the Assign
button to schedule the Quiz/MidSem Test.

Step 13: Now click on the schedule button to schedule the post so that
the post/with the quiz goes live automatically on the desired date.

Step 14: A small window opens, which prompts to fill the desired date
and time at which the Test/Quiz should go live automatically. After
filling the desired date and time, click on schedule.

Step 15: Now your test/quiz is scheduled for the desired date and time,
and it will appear as a hidden post in your ‘classwork’ stream.

– Edit the Post
– Create a topic for your Quiz

AL1: After scheduling you can still edit the post by clicking on the
three dots. Additionally, the scheduled date and time can also be seen.

AL2_1: Creating a topic for your post like ‘Second Mid Semester Test
2020’ . Click on topic to create a topic for this Quiz.

AL2_2: Finally click on schedule button to save the changes made to
this post.

AL2_3: The appearance of the post will change and appear in the
classwork stream as shown below.
