WELCOME TO 2011 – New and old visitors and friends are always welcome to worship with us. Please let us know
you were here; fill out the Fellowship Pad (it‟s in the hymnal rack) with today‟s date, your name, address, phone number,
etc. Please come and worship with us again in 2011!
EXPERIENCING JOY DURING A "CRUCIBLE EXPERIENCE" – Join us for our Bible Study class about deep
inner joy. What is a "Crucible Experience”? A time of suffering that produces a deep transformation on the inside. Come
and watch St. Paul share his deep inner joy during a time in the "crucible". We will be studying the book of Philippians at
9:15 and 10:30am on Sundays.
NURSERY AND SUNDAY SCHOOL –The Nursery and Sunday school are now open for 2011 classes. Children
toddling to age 3 are invited to the nursery (9:15am service only) and ages 4 to grade 6 are welcome in Sunday School
(children are dismissed to go to class after the Children‟s Sermon). If you need assistance, please talk to an usher.
2011 OFFERING ENVELOPES – Offering envelopes for 2011 are now available in the office hallway. If you no
longer need or want your giving recorded or you want to change anything in your Simply Giving for 2011, call the office.
WE RUN ON BATTERIES – We are still in need of 9 volt batteries for our wireless microphones used during services.
If you can donate any amount, please bring them to the church office.
HIS LOVE – OUR RESPONSE – Our theme for 2011 is “His Love–Our Response”. If you would like to lend a hand to
assist with events and accessories [Banners and such] to this theme, please tell Pastor Dave.
GIVE A GIFT TO THE KITCHEN – We continue to ask for donations of coffee, creamers, cans of Coca-Cola/Pepsi
products, brown and powdered sugar and butter. Watch for sales at area stores. Donate a Festival or Copp‟s gift card from
SCRIP. Donations help us with fellowship events (fish fries, cinnamon roll Sunday, etc.). We appreciate your support.
YOUTH NIGHT THIS WEEK – Come for homework help, time to study and play and a great meal for just $3. Youth
to grade 6 can stay until 6pm when 7th and 8th graders go to class; Senior High youth are welcome to stay until 7:30pm.
‘END OF THE SPEAR’ – Join us for the film “End of the Spear” on Sunday January 16th at 6pm and watch how God
takes trouble and turns it into a blessing! The night will include a live electronic interview with Steve Saint, the film‟s
author. Read all about this amazing story in advance http://www.oslc-b.org/programs/outreach/palm/index.html#menu
ADVERTISE IN THE VOICE – We are now accepting new advertisers for our monthly newsletter, The Voice. A
business card sized space is available at a cost of $300 for one year or $25 per month. Please contact Michelle at 468-4065
or info@oslc-gb.org; ads can be seasonal/short-term if desired. All ads must be print ready.
CHICKS WITH STIX MEETING – Join us at 1:00pm on Wednesday, January 19. We will meet in the parlor.

coupons are now on the 2nd floor just past the elevator, near the coat room. The Box Tops, Labels for Education, Capri
Sun, etc. cart remains in the main hallway by the Preschool door. Empty ink jet cartridges can be placed on the cart by the
Preschool door (as a donation to Trinity) or in the church secretary‟s mailbox (as a donation to Our Saviour).
TRINITY KINDERGARTEN OPEN HOUSE – Come to the Education Hallway on January 11 at 6:30pm for our
Kindergarten Open House; invite the parent of a prospective kindergarten student and the Trinity staff will do the rest!
THE FIRST FRIDAY FISH FRY IN 2011 – Keep on supporting Our Saviour by attending the fish fry on Friday,
January 14 from 5-7pm. Call in orders for carry outs are taken until 4:15pm on Friday at 465-4065. Can‟t decide if you
want perch or cod? Try our new „combo‟…the best of both worlds. Bring a friend and join us this week! 
FISH FRY FRIDAY NEWS – The Board of Fellowship is considering holding a Friday Night Fish Fry every Friday
night during Lent (March 11 – April 22). In order to do this, more volunteers are needed. If you are willing to work even
one Friday night to make this happen, please contact Greg Ammerman (469-4282) or Tim Richter (339-9984). The
„normal‟ fish fry nights during that period are March 11 and April 8; Good Friday is April 22.
STARTING THE NEW YEAR – Make a resolution to buy more SCRIP in 2011. This great fundraiser needs you to
make one small change…buy ahead and use SCRIP for your purchases of groceries, drugs, gas, restaurants, and more
instead of using cash or credit card at the store. Check the list of SCRIP; orders placed on Sunday are ready for pick up
the following Sunday. Making a large purchase from Menards, Home Depot, etc.? If you have a large order, a special
order may be placed for you upon request; please talk to Julie Richter. If you have questions, please call Julie at 339-9984.
DISCOUNT CARDS FOR SALE – The N.E.W. Softball Team is selling discount cards for local businesses for $10.
Information about the card can be found on the office hallway bulletin board; you can use the card over and over again!
See Kellie Meerstein or call the church office. The money will be used to purchase softball apparel, bats, and softballs.
COUPONS FOR MILITARY FAMILIES – We have now sent our third package of coupons to a military base in
Incirlik, Turkey. Many coupons are coming in each week and we thank those who are taking the time to clip them.
Please be careful, though, that you don‟t try to cut too many at one time or that you clip too close…the expiration date and
bar code must be intact to be redeemed. Coupons expired up to two months are still acceptable so bring those, too!
PRESCHOOL FUNDRAISER – Order your Hydrant Pizza, Chili or Chicken Strips from the church office. Prices start
at $4.50 for chili or garlic cheese bread, 12” pizzas range from $7.50 to $10, and a 3-pack of 9‟ pizzas is $18. Payments
must accompany your order, so no phone calls please. Orders must be received by Monday, January 17; it will be ready
for pick up after 11am on Tuesday, February 2. (Note: This does NOT replace the youth pizza Super Bowl Pizza sale!)

Mark your calendar now so you won‟t miss this year‟s sale!!
MEMBER TO MEMBER – Check out the bulletin board by the office for great stuff happening in our area. If you have
something to post, please feel free to print something to bring for approved by the office.
MEMORIAL GIFT CARDS AVAILABLE – Are you looking for a way to memorialize a friend or relative? The
Gideons offers a sympathy card to send to the family with information on the donation you made to The Gideons in their
loved one‟s name. The cards include the donation form and envelope to mail your donation directly to The Gideons.
