2. The majority of respondents were aged 15-24 which
means that my target audience is teenagers and
young people.
3. The majority of people were female but there was only a 10%
difference between the amount of males and females. This
means that it would be better for me to aim my magazine at
females. Because there wasn’t much difference between male
and female it wont effect things like my colour scheme and
language used.
The answers that were ‘other’ were joke responses.
4. Most popular answer was York. If possible I should
use artists that are from York or the surrounding
areas.
5. Other responses were rap, alternative and jazz.
My magazine is going to be pop/ rap/band
based.
6. This graph shows that readers would pay
between £2 and £3. This is the average price of
a music magazine and so it would be a good
price to make my magazine/
7. Most of the people that took my survey have never
bought a music magazine before so that could mean
that none of the magazines available appeal to them
so that’s what I need to do with my magazine.
8. Most people look for entertainment in magazines so that’s what I
will include in my magazine.
9. Over 80% of the participants listen to music everyday which
means that music is a big part of their lives. I could include
the latest music and the most up to date artists and tracks.
10. Nearly half of the participants had no opinion on the
statement. This could be because they don’t read music
magazines or they have never been attracted to them.
This could be changed by making my magazine appeal
to the target audience and making more people want to
buy a music magazine.
11. Print was the most popular answer given, however about
25% of people said they like to read magazines online.
