The document provides feedback on a modeling photo shoot for an online clothing store. It notes both positives and negatives. Positively, it likes the model's casual pose and the use of shadow in the background. However, it finds issues with the photo not looking professional enough. It recommends using a shallower depth of field, showing more of the outfit, and improving the lighting and background. Overall, it feels the photo could be improved to look more like something that would appear in a magazine.
3. i like the way that the model is positioned on
the slight angle. This isn't a stereotypical model
position, he is caught in the moment and looks
happy which can anchor the fact that he likes
the clothing.
However, there are negatives to this position
which impact how it doesn't look professional. to
make it look better the angle of the medium
long shot could have been more canted and also
a long shot to show the whole outfit and shoes
like a professional photographer would do when
advertising a clothing line.
When it comes to the clothing choice it
doesn't fit the brief as nothing the model was
wearing his high end brands and in the brief it
says. Again, the shot should be a long shot so
the rest of the outfit could be shown.
the thing i like about the slogan is that it is
located on top of the logo which isn't seen
much. However, the san serive font gives the
representation of the brand for younger
audiences which matches my brief.
In other words i don't particularly think that
this looks very professional. i feel like it
looks quite messy and doesn't go much with
the image.
For the background i like how the
shadow of the image is created. It gives
sort of an outline to the image and
makes the model stand out. i would have
liked a shallow depth of field on the
image so it looks more professional
and like it would be placed into a
magazine.
4. i like how the top part of the image is slightly
shallow but to make it all shallow it would look
much better and higher standard to be placed
into a magazine.
i feel like the background of choice is good as it
shows how the clothes can be used in many
different settings- such as outdoor wear.
The outfit off choice o the model shows that
the online store offers many different clothes
for different season. the big winter coat
highlights this and also the black jumper.
However, the model is only wearing one high end
designer item which are the converse. the
negative side to these are that you can't really
see them and they seem quite blurred and the
brand isn't clear. the long shot could have been a
high angel shot which could have shown the shoes
off more.
the position off the mode could be more
forward as most of the outfit is hidden by
the model standing to the side. her position
isn't a stereotypical model pose but even if
the model was facing forward she could have
just looked to the side it would still be a
different position. this way the clothes could
be shown off a lot more.
On the slogan and logo, they don't line up with
each other which makes it look very messy
and unprofessional . however, the placement
of the both makes it look quite nice and not
stereotypically like a normal online store.
5. Campaign
To round this all up i wouldn't think that the two advertisements are from the same advert due
to the positioning off the slogan, locations and position of models.
To start off the slogan's colouring was slightly darker on one of the advertisements which in
reality they would have to be 100% the same. In the slogan i feel like we should have bought
something into it about being big brands for cheaper prices.
They also don't look like they're from the same company as the styling of clothing and
background aren't alike. The lighting could have also been highkey to highlight the clothing items
more or even a lowkey background and ambiant lighting on the models could have made it stand
out.
I feel like in both adverts we could have played on angels more instead of the stereotypical long
shot. Angels were played on slightly in the first advert but only slightly.
