KINDERGARTEN TEACHER INTERVIEW
Student: Miriam Novillo Hall
Subject: Taller de Práctica Docente (TPD)

School: Instituto Modelo Viedma
Period: Kindergarten – 5 years old- 2017
Before startingmykindergartenperiodImetthe course´steacher. Her name is Milena
Rojas, she is in fact a student of Lenguas Vivas and she is teaching English in this school for
many years now.
We talkedaboutthe schedule,Iexplainedherhow manyof hoursI shouldcomplete in
that periodandshe advised me toworkwithfive yearsoldkids.She toldme the groupwas not
easy to work with. They were a bit noisy and it was a big group so I should find the way to
engage them with the lesson.
She explained me herwayof workingandtheirroutines.She alsotoldme the availabletoolsin
the classroom such as the audio equipment and the television.
I explained her that I was asked to plan every lesson in advance and that after my tutor
corrects it I will give it to her and she may give me her opinion.
She also explained me that children in kindergarten do not write therefore I should think in
lessons more aimed to visual, listening and speaking task than to written activities.
I alsoread the ProyectoEducativoInstitucional (PEI) fromwhereall pedagogical aims aroused.
All in all we talked about the teaching strategies and methodologies I should use in
class and about how I was going to be test by her and by my tutor in Lenguas Vivas.

KINDERGARTEN TEACHER INTERVIEW Student: Miriam Novillo Hall Subject: Taller de Práctica Docente (TPD) Teacher: Milena Rojas School: Instituto Modelo Viedma Period: Kindergarten – 5 years old- 2017 Before startingmykindergartenperiodImetthe course´steacher. Her name is Milena Rojas, she is in fact a student of Lenguas Vivas and she is teaching English in this school for many years now. We talkedaboutthe schedule,Iexplainedherhow manyof hoursI shouldcomplete in that periodandshe advised me toworkwithfive yearsoldkids.She toldme the groupwas not easy to work with. They were a bit noisy and it was a big group so I should find the way to engage them with the lesson. She explained me herwayof workingandtheirroutines.She alsotoldme the availabletoolsin the classroom such as the audio equipment and the television. I explained her that I was asked to plan every lesson in advance and that after my tutor corrects it I will give it to her and she may give me her opinion. She also explained me that children in kindergarten do not write therefore I should think in lessons more aimed to visual, listening and speaking task than to written activities. I alsoread the ProyectoEducativoInstitucional (PEI) fromwhereall pedagogical aims aroused. All in all we talked about the teaching strategies and methodologies I should use in class and about how I was going to be test by her and by my tutor in Lenguas Vivas.
