1. Main Cover Artist (Nicki):
Costume:
A variety of costumes so that the pictures on the front cover, contents
and across the double page spread are different and vary.
Different T-shirts with different patterns to make the outfit seem totally
different. The T-shirts can have bold and bright patterns as the
background is plain.
Accessories such as: hats, necklaces and bracelets, bows and
headbands for hair, gloves. This will give the outfit a different feel and
shows a variety of different styles.
Jeans
Jackets (denim, leather, studded)
Acting:
Her expressions need to be bold and slightly over the top. This is
because many teen-pop magazines are ‘cheesy’. The expressive faces
are a way of making the magazine look exciting and positive.
Other poses such as touching her hair will make her look stylish and
fashionable which will suit the target audience. Clothes and make up is
something that young girls are interested in and will make a point of
looking at them.
Props can be used e.g. cat ears to make her look childish to suit the
audience.
Props:
Guitar: this will show that she is a musician and that the magazine is
related to music.
Hat and headbands: will change the outfit and can sometimes be used
for humour (cat ears)
Setting;
I have decided to use a plain background for the main artist as too
much pattern or colour will clash with the rest of the cover
