as it’s the side people read first.
It will feature the most intriguing
things contained in the
magazine.
Barcode, issue
number and date
appear on the right,
and are quite small
so seem less
significant.
Masthead top/left,
very bold and bright
as its one of the first
things people see.
Usually well

people are drawn

direct mode of address
makes it more
personal for the reader,
as well as catch their

Mise-en-scene

the most interesting

Ellipsis often used to

creates suspense for
the reader about the

Alliteration, makes it more
catchy and fun for the
reader this draws them in.
Puns make the

fun and catchy.
They are more
likely to attract

Panthers are quite dangerous
and wild, this suggests Lily is
like a panther. Also she's
posing with them represents
that she's fearless .
Costume:
The fact she isn't wearing a
top implies she is confident
and outgoing. It also has a
seductive touch to it and is
showing she is sexy.

She is looking over her

29. From my results I found most people would like a monthly pop
magazine that is priced between £2-£2.50. The magazine needs to
include competitions, interviews, upcoming artist and bands and
more.
The magazine needs to include posters, and the most favoured
colour is black and white.
30.
31. My magazine genre is teen pop which means my models costume
needs to be appropriate for quite a young audience.
They also need to look like a pop artist which means quite modern,
and stylish clothes.
I also plan to use props such as headphones or microphone
something that is music related.
I also want them to wear a different outfit for the double page
spread to show they are on tend and up to date like most current
pop artist are today.
32. I plan for my photo shoot setting to be very plain and simple as I
don’t want the background to distract from my artist. It also makes it
easier when it comes to cropping and editing the images.
My lighting needs to be bright as this suits my target audience and
genre more rather than a dark and dull lighting hic is more suited to
a rock or heavy metal magazine for instance.
When it comes to taking my pictures I want my lighting to be bright
this will mean my images will come out to a good quality and
standard.
It will represent and imply that my artists is a happy and a positive
person, which will intrigue the readers as they want to be happy like
the artist.
33. I wanted my artist to come across as being fun and happy,
therefore this can show in their facial expression, so I plan for my
artist to be smiling and laughing in the photos.
My artist pose and body language will also be very open for
example with their hands on their hips or hands in the air, looking
as though they are enjoying themselves.
This will be more inviting for the readers.
34. I wanted my artist to have quite simplistic and natural hair and
make-up to show they are not too over the top. But I want them to
have maybe some colourful lipstick or brightly coloured eye shadow
to show they have a wild and fun side to them.
35. I want to use a variety of shot types as it can reveal more of my
artist and their costume.
For example;
- A long shot would shows the artists costume and body language
whereas a close up or extreme close up would show their facial
expressions in detailed.
I will try to take shots that look professional and not like I have
cropped parts of them off.
36. At the end of my photo shoot I will need to check my images before
ending the photo shoot, to ensure that I have a good range of
images to use for my front cover, contents page and double-page
spread. I will also need to ensure the quality of the images are
good for example the focus is correct etc. And that I have viable
and effective photographs before I begin to edit them.
