2. THE QUOTATION PROCESS
After initial contact was made a DAS
Technology Business Development Manager
met with the Directors of Parry Group to
discuss the benefits of Solar PV and what it
could deliver for them.
The next stage was a detailed assessment
of their requirements and then a bespoke
quotation was created by DAS design team
ensuring the roof space was maximum to
give the best return for Parry.

Siemens Energy Efficiency Financing in
conjunction with The Carbon Trust secured
funding for Parry Group to enable the install
to happen with no initial cost from the client.
After successfully passing their EPC and full
site survey the installation was given the go
ahead.
SITE ASSESSMENT
Before any installation took place our Project
Manager and Technical Manager visited
site to discuss Parry Group’s requirements.
At this stage the specific installation
requirements were discussed these included
cable runs and equipment locations. With
this being a working factory personnel and
working hours needed to be taken into
account during the installation. With all the
information from a detailed site survey, a
health and safety plan was created. This
plan was agreed with the clients to ensure
the installation process had minimal impact
on their day to day business operations.

4. casestudiescasestudiesINSTALLATION PROCESS
DAS engineers installed a 135kWp Solar PV
roof mounted system which was made up
of 540 panels. The panels where fitted onto
two of Parry Groups factory roofs - 144 on
roof 1 and 396 on roof 2.
During the installation DAS engineers faced
a number of challenges. Parry Group wanted
to maximise the roof spaces and have
installed as many panels as possible without
blocking any of the natural light provided by
the roofs sky lights. This issue was taken
into account and addressed at design stage
of the quotation process.
A special lift was used on site to move the
large amount of panels needed to complete
the install.
As ever the installation was handled
successfully and carried out in record
time, even the snow didn’t impact on the
installation too much.
Parry Group will now enjoy up to 50+% on
their electricity spends for years to coming.
Along with receiving excellent feed in tariff
payments providing the company with an
extra income for the next twenty years.

To say we are happy with the
outcome of this installation would be
a very big understatement indeed.
Not only was the process itself
painless, quick and all but disruption
free, it has also saved us a substantial
amount on our energy bills while
requiring relatively little capital outlay.
DAS Technology have essentially
performed a modern day miracle for
our business.
