2. How media technology has helped
me
◦ Using media technologies helped me massively in creating my main and ancillary
work, this is as we are in a technology based generation meaning we can have many
types of websites, pieces of tech to help us construct the main and ancillary and also
keep them all connected together so I am able to update a part of my product and
be able to share it with others easily.

3. Blogger
◦ I feel that this website helped me immensely as it was the basis of keeping all my
technology use and work connected, I was able to update with my group, to my
teacher and to the public on my latest research or if I had learnt how to use an
application such as Photoshop. As I had this website to store all my blogs I was able to
look back on previous blogs to apply to my work such as looking back on my research
about Laura Mulvey to discuss with my group whether we would challenge or follow
her theory and various other things.

6. Video camera
◦This allowed me to achieve my product as using
the high piece of technology allowed me to film
on site easily without failure due to its easily
programmed settings meaning we had no
troubles trying to film our music video and it also
allowed me to film behind the scenes clips and
construct personal films for planning and
research.

7. Animatic
◦Though I used this once, it helped me with my
main as it gave me a rough visual of the music
video and what could be added or taken away
so when we actually started filming and editing
we had a clear structure to follow and knew
what looked good where.

8. Photoshop
◦ Using Photoshop allowed me creative freedom with my
ancillary products as has many functions to it to let me
create an ancillary product in any way I wanted as I
had access to filters, layers, etc. I enjoyed using
photoshop as it permitted me to have constant synergy
in my products such as being able to insert images of
props and costume into my album panels and didn’t
make it look too badly worked in but fit perfectly.

10. Final cut pro
◦ Final Cut Pro was a great way for me to create a music
video due to it being easy to manage after getting the
hand of it, it helped me be visually artistic with my music
video for reasons such as filters as I used a black and
white filter in one scene and being able to put this into
my music video made it look like real pop videos. It
helped me sync the music video with the song with the
use of markers which was helpful for editing as we had
to make sure we changed scenes on a beat.

12. Twitter
◦ This helped me keep in touch with my teachers and
fans of the artist as during filming I am able to inform the
teacher if there were any problems at the location or if
we needed any help and when we had arrived. It
helped us contact fans of Marina and the Diamonds
easily as we were able to look through her followers and
speak to those who seemed to know her pretty well
meaning we gained more insight for our music video.
