to achieve 3 extraordinary things in the next15
years. End extreme poverty. Fight inequality &
injustice. Fix climate change. The Global Goals for
sustainable development
All Goals
• There are 17 Goals but we have choosen 5 of
them.
Quality Education
What is the goal here?
Ensure inclusive and quality education for all and
promote lifelong learning
Why does education
matter?
• Education is the key that will allow many other Sustainable
Development Goals (SDGs) to be achieved. When
peopleare able to get quality education they can break
from the cycle of poverty.
• Education therefore helps to reduce inequalities and
toreach gender equality.
• It also empowers people everywhere to live more healthy
and sustainable lives.
• What can we do?
• • Ask our governments to place education as a
priorityin bothpolicy and practice.
• • Encourage the private sector to invest resources in
the development of educational tools and facilities
Reduced Inequalities
Inequalities based onincome, sex, age, disability,sexual
orientation, race,class, ethnicity, religion and opportunity
continue topersist across the world,within and among
countries.
Inequality threatens longterm social and economicdevelopment, harms
poverty reduction and destroys people’s sense of fulfilment and self-worth.
This, in turn, can breed crime, disease andenvironmental degradation
What can we do?
Reducing inequality requires transformative change.
Greater efforts are needed to eradicate extreme poverty
and hunger, and invest morein health, education,social
protection and decent jobs especiallyfor young
people,migrants and othervulnerable communities.
Life Below Water
Oceans provide key natural resources
including food ,medicines, biofuels and
others products.
They help with the breakdown and removal of
waste and pollution and their ecosystems
What can we do?
• For open ocean and deep sea areas, sustainability can be
achieved only through increased international cooperation
to protect vulnerable habitats.
• Establishing comprehensive, effective and equitably
managed systems of government-protected areas should
be pursued to conserve biodiversity and ensure
Gender Equality
• Women and girls represent half of the world’s population
and therefore also half of its potential.
• But,today gender inequalitypersists everywhere and
stagnates social progress.
• As of 2014, 143 countries have guaranteed equality
between men and womenin their Constitutions but 52have
yet to take this step.
What can we do?
• If you are a girl, you can stay in school, help empower
your female classmates to do the same and fight for your
right to access sexual and reproductive health services.
• If you are a man or a boy, you can work alongside women
and girls to achieve gender equality and embrace
healthy,respectful relationships.
PEACE, JUSTICE AND STRONG
INSTITUTIONS
• Peaceful, just and inclusive societies are necessary to
achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
• People everywhere need to be free of fear from all forms
of violence and feel safe as they go about their lives
whatever their ethnicity, faith or sexual orientation.
What can we do?
• Take a genuine interest in what your government is doing
• Raise awareness in your community about the realities of
violence and the importance of peaceful and just
societies, and identify
• how you can pursue the SDGs in your daily life.

  • 2. 17 GLOBAL GOALS World Leaders have committed to 17 Global Goals to achieve 3 extraordinary things in the next15 years. End extreme poverty. Fight inequality & injustice. Fix climate change. The Global Goals for sustainable development
  • 3. All Goals • There are 17 Goals but we have choosen 5 of them.
  • 4. Quality Education What is the goal here? Ensure inclusive and quality education for all and promote lifelong learning
  • 5. Why does education matter? • Education is the key that will allow many other Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to be achieved. When peopleare able to get quality education they can break from the cycle of poverty. • Education therefore helps to reduce inequalities and toreach gender equality. • It also empowers people everywhere to live more healthy and sustainable lives.
  • 6. • What can we do? • • Ask our governments to place education as a priorityin bothpolicy and practice. • • Encourage the private sector to invest resources in the development of educational tools and facilities
  • 7. Reduced Inequalities Inequalities based onincome, sex, age, disability,sexual orientation, race,class, ethnicity, religion and opportunity continue topersist across the world,within and among countries. Inequality threatens longterm social and economicdevelopment, harms poverty reduction and destroys people’s sense of fulfilment and self-worth. This, in turn, can breed crime, disease andenvironmental degradation
  • 8. What can we do? Reducing inequality requires transformative change. Greater efforts are needed to eradicate extreme poverty and hunger, and invest morein health, education,social protection and decent jobs especiallyfor young people,migrants and othervulnerable communities.
  • 9. Life Below Water Oceans provide key natural resources including food ,medicines, biofuels and others products.
  • 10. They help with the breakdown and removal of waste and pollution and their ecosystems
  • 11. What can we do? • For open ocean and deep sea areas, sustainability can be achieved only through increased international cooperation to protect vulnerable habitats. • Establishing comprehensive, effective and equitably managed systems of government-protected areas should be pursued to conserve biodiversity and ensure
  • 13. • Women and girls represent half of the world’s population and therefore also half of its potential. • But,today gender inequalitypersists everywhere and stagnates social progress. • As of 2014, 143 countries have guaranteed equality between men and womenin their Constitutions but 52have yet to take this step.
  • 14. What can we do? • If you are a girl, you can stay in school, help empower your female classmates to do the same and fight for your right to access sexual and reproductive health services. • If you are a man or a boy, you can work alongside women and girls to achieve gender equality and embrace healthy,respectful relationships.
  • 15. PEACE, JUSTICE AND STRONG INSTITUTIONS
  • 16. • Peaceful, just and inclusive societies are necessary to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). • People everywhere need to be free of fear from all forms of violence and feel safe as they go about their lives whatever their ethnicity, faith or sexual orientation.
  • 17. What can we do? • Take a genuine interest in what your government is doing • Raise awareness in your community about the realities of violence and the importance of peaceful and just societies, and identify • how you can pursue the SDGs in your daily life.
