2. Gender equality intro
Gender equality is when people of all genders have equal rights, responsibilities
and opportunities. Everyone is affected by gender inequality - women, men,
trans and gender diverse people, children and families. It impacts people of all
ages and backgrounds. We need gender equality urgently.
3. What is gender equality ?
The process of being fair to women and men.
Requires equal enjoyment by women
and men of socially valued-goods, opportunities.
It doesn't mean men and women being the same.
4. Where it all begins ?
Gender Roles are encouraged through "gendered socialization" from birth
four major agents of socialization:
Family, education, society and mass media.
Gender roles are not typically associated with
difference of women and men
5. GENDER EQUITY
Gender equity is the process of being fair to women and men.
To ensure fairness ,measures must often
be available to compensate for women's historical.
Equity leads to equality.
6. SOCIETY
The society has designed certain norms
& assigned certain roles for both male & female.
The percentage of females to males in Politics is also less.
The groom's side always weights heavier over the bride’s.
7. EDUCATION
The boys are educated at the best institutions
whereas the girls are educated low institutions.
The boys are encouraged to opt for Science,
whereas girls are normally pushed towards the Arts faculty.
Girls aren't given enough freedom to choose their careers.

A girl being born is considered unfavorable
whereas the birth of a boy is a celebration.
The nutritious food is given to the males
whereas the women have to eat the left overs.
The important decisions are taken by male
& females have no little say in it.
9. Why it is important ?
For the success of our organizations.
It is the right thing to do and the smart thing to do.
For the nations and the whole world.

• This Scheme was introduced for addressing
the issue of declining Child Sex Ratio (CSR).
• The overall goal of the scheme is to Celebrate the 'Girl Child & Enable her Education’.

Gender Equality must become a lived reality.
It will come from determination, guts and heart.
