able to complete education?
The barriers to girls’ education are complex and differ from community to community.
Some of the gender-specific barriers to education faced by girls include harmful social
and gender norms, child marriage, conflict and instability, child labour, and the cost of
education.

6. Strategy-1: Strengthen community participation and
engagement to drive positive gender norms and cultural
practices that increases girl’s enrollment, retention, and
participation in education
7. Access to education is a fundamental human right. Both boys and girls, men
and women in our society must receive education in order to reach full potential of oneself and for living a
dignified life. Education is the only means which allow every child to grow and prepare to support family
and society.
Education is to maximize the growth of children both mentally, emotional and
physically strength. The knowledge and skills required to reach full potential of every child can be
gained through by accessing education. Developing 21st centruary skills is critical for every child to
compete and keep pace with the fast-growing world. Such as critical thinking, problem solving,
communication, teamwork all these aspects a child starts to learn from an early age and has long lasting
impact as they continue to learn throughout the life cycle.
Education is lifesaving. Children who do not receive education are vulnerable in any context. They
become more vulnerable in conflict context as access to services and basic rights becomes limited due to
nature of the crisis. Children who receive education are meaningfully engaged at learning sessions,
remained informed on critical lifesaving information and services such as protection, nutrition, WASH and
education. Besides accessing services, they are aware on the importance of availing service and meet their
daily needs which are lifesaving.
Educating girls and boys for durable future. When both girls and boys are educated, they
are able to plan on future and can consistently work towards achieving the goal. With education, the
window of opportunities becomes abundant and children will have choice to avail as deserve. With a
concrete future plan, both boys and girls starts to support family and community to greater extent.
