4. Ancillary Product – Results of Questionnaire for Poster For each question we asked 30 people to complete this. Each individual in our group asked ten people consisting of different ages, gender and ethnicity. We have shown the findings from some of our questions below converting our findings into bar charts. We asked this question as it would give us an insight on what the audience like and what would interest them in watching the trailer leading on to watching the film. The Sixth Sense was the most popular poster therefore when we begin planning and creating our poster we will use this as a guideline. When deciding we were going to create a film trailer, we agreed as a group that we would create a trailer of the genre thriller/horror. We also asked the question what genre people preferred and this was the most popular answer. Later in the questionnaire, we asked this question finding that filming it in the city would be the best setting for us.
6. Ancillary Product – Results of Questionnaire for Magazine For each question we asked 30 people to complete this. Each individual in our group asked ten people consisting of different ages, gender and ethnicity. We have shown the findings from some of our questions below converting our findings into bar charts. We added this question into our questionnaire as we felt it is a very important part of creating a magazine. After gathering results together there was big difference between several different prices, £1-£3 being the most popular. It was an easy decision to make as it was clear that our audience was most willing to pay this specific price.
8. Ancillary Product – Results of Questionnaire for Trailer Although we had been given a perspective allowing our trailer to be up to 2 minutes long. The results from this questionnaire are still very helpful as we have realised that the shorter the better. When creating our trailer we will take this into consideration. This question is important as the most likely place to view a trailer is at the cinema before viewing a film. If producing our film trailer to a high level it would be advertised through the cinema therefore how many times a person goes would affect whether they view the trailer. For each question we asked 30 people to complete this. Each individual in our group asked ten people consisting of different ages, gender and ethnicity. We have shown the findings from some of our questions below converting our findings into bar charts.
11. Summary - what we have learnt. We learnt a vast amount from our research, especially from our questionnaires that we have given out. We produced a questionnaire for our film poster which was extremely helpful. The key information that we gathered was that people felt the genre of thriller would help our product in being the most successful. We also found out that a vast amount of individuals agreed on the fact that image was the most important part to focus on whilst creating a film poster. We feel that this was information has helped us greatly. We have also completed a questionnaire for film magazine and trailers which we have received feedback which will help us when we begin to make our products as we are now aware of what the audience are looking to see. Lastly, we conducted an interview which was successful, receiving detailed answered about peoples views giving us an insight into what people liked and what people didn’t therefore helping us with what to include. Overall, this will help us as we now have a greater understanding of our audiences views.
