NARRATIVE REPORT ON DAY 2
TOPIC: SCHOOL PROGRAMS, PROJECTS AND ACTIVITIES (PPA) LITERACY AND NUMERACY
Every new day is another opportunity of new learning thus no one is exempted from it
unless you say I don’t!
The program started at 8:00 o’clock in the morning hosted by the enthusiastic and
energetic teacher from Grade Six, Mrs. Eloisa L. Bile. The preliminary activities started thru singing of
nationalistic song followed by a virtual prayer then a recap by Mrs. Jonalyn V. Valero, Master Teacher I
and then the roll call by grade level by Mrs. Emerlyn M. Banocnoc. The participants participated actively
specially on roll call, they showed their talents in doing tiktok.
The next part was the presentation of different PPA’s in Literacy and Numeracy. The first
speaker , Mrs. Lizel B. Melicio discussed about her project, Project LEADERS (Learning , Enhancing and
Developing Reading Skills) . She said that this project is a guided reading for the teachers, parents and
pupils in order to assess the progress. It is designed for the pupils to read at least 15-30 minutes on the
scheduled given to them or on their free time. The objective of this project is to help learners improve
their reading skills and reduce struggling readers.
The second speaker, Ms. Elaisa Marie B. Suansing presented her project, Project BUS
( BASAHIN, Unawain at Sulatin) adopted to Deped Laguna’s project in enhancing reading skills and
developing reading comprehension of learners in Filipino. She explained well the objectives, project work
plan and matrix of the project .
The third speaker , Mrs. Rowena Angelica C. Porcincula, presented her project, Project
RAMDOM( Reinforcing and Achieving the Numeracy Skills by Developing the Basic Operations in
Mathematics). This project aims to increase the mean percentage score and number of numerates to 80%
above in all grade levels. She discussed her topic clearly.
Next speakers, Mrs. Maylene R. Ortega and Mrs. Ma. Christaline J. Arenas. Their project is
related to School-Based Feeding Program…..Project Pack Busog Lusog . They started their topic with the
saying “ There shall be no learning if the stomach is empty” that is how the title came up. The project
addressed malnutrition faced by the learners. It aims to improve and alleviate the total number of pupils
who are under Wasted and Severely Wasted at least 75% to their current Nutritional Status.
2. The fifth speaker, Mrs. Imelda M. Nograda. She presented her project…Project 3 P’s (
Productive, Partnership in Pandemic). It aims to look for valuable partners that can be interested and
responsible for the achievement of the learning outcomes through their active participation in school
activities, programs and projects. She said that stakeholders have the significant responsibility of leading
and creating an enjoyable environment so that the learner’s potential and self-confidence can develop
well. Schools cannot stand alone without stakeholders.
And the last speaker, Mrs. Zoraida E. Mendez, Master Teacher. She presented her
project…Project TEAM (Teacher Enhancement in Achieving Mastery). This project aims to develop
strategies, techniques and approaches in the teaching –learning process and 100% use of ICT in the New
Normal Education. She said that to help the learners to learn, teacher must be the first one to learn.
Teaching strategies, techniques and approaches play an important role in classroom instruction. Without
the use of a strategy, teachers would be aimlessly projecting information that doesn’t connect with
learners or engage them. So thru this project, there will be no teachers wondering what to do especially
in using ICT.
The discussions about the School PPA’s Literacy and Numeracy ended at 11:45 in the
morning . Lunch break took place from 11:45 up to 1:00 in the afternoon. Then the afternoon session
begun with “Zumba in the Chair” led by Grade Four Teachers , followed by watching of VP/DepEd
Secretary Sara Duterte , her Roadmap for DepED (Bansang Makabata, Batang Makabansa : MATATAG).

analyzing, configuring and critiquing of Research Title from Grade Two up to Grade Six were done with
thorough thinking and careful decision making through collaboration of all teachers present with the
