WHICH WILL GIVE ME A
VARIETY OF ANSWERS, IN
WHICH I THEN CAN
ANALYSE.

I gave my survey out at random to ten people I knew. This gave a non bias result as I was not
expecting an equal ratio. This graph however does show near enough an equal result, with 40% of
them being male, and 60% female. This tells me that I do not have to target my trailer specifically
towards gender.

During my questionnaire it shows the most popular people I asked was the category of 18-25
years. This is relevant as it the age range I was targeting my product to. I did not want to
focus on teenagers 17 and under due to the content included in my trailer. However, I can
focus on the older generation too as they the horror genre’s most popular age category.

This answer shows that a film trailer does influence a proportion of people, therefore showing
that this is the most important element in my production products.

poster needs to convey a
message to the audience which
will persuade them to watch it,
through horror elements.

The most popular form of people finding out about new movie releases is by Trailers. Other
popular methods are online and social media. Ones that did not prove popular was magazines.

did not read or purchase movie magazines. Only a
select few frequently read them. And 2 people
reading them at least once a month.
This shows that movie magazines are not that
popular in them finding out about the latest movie
releases and look to other sources of exhibition such
as social media.

This graph however does show near enough an equal result, with 40% of them being male, and 60% female. This tells me that I do not have to target my trailer specifically towards gender.

This is relevant as it the age range I was targeting my product to. I did not want to focus on teenagers 17 and under due to the content included in my trailer. However, I can focus on the older generation too as they the horror genre’s most popular age category.

Other popular methods are online and social media. Ones that did not prove popular was magazines.

Only a select few frequently read them. And 2 people reading them at least once a month. This shows that movie magazines are not that popular in them finding out about the latest movie releases and look to other sources of exhibition such as social media.
