2. Question One
The first question is a simple question that
asks how old is the audience and the
audience is overwhelmingly between 17 to
19 no older or younger than that.
Learning this allows me to research further
into what people in-between the ages of 17
to 19 enjoy in media and this allows me to
market towards them in a very direct way
as I can make my short film project more
relatable to them when it comes to the
characters ages and such.
3. Question 2
The second question is simple question as
its just what is your gender and the
answers are a little more divided then the
first with 20 percent of my audience being
female and 80 percent being male which is
good because this means I have a more
defined audience and I know who to
market towards now when it comes to the
tone of the short film and more.
4. Question 3
This third question is a very helpful
question as it allows to both see that all of
my audience is students and shows where
they are most likely to be a E on a social
grade chart which is the case here as
everyone who answered this question said
that they are a student and do not work a
job of any kind.
5. Question 4
This question to the right is the first question to
be one that the participants in the survey could
answer with their own words and to my surprise
almost all of the participants talked about how
they enjoyed action the most out of all of the
genres.
The only other suggestions was comedy and
horror. I do plan to add comedy elements to my
short film, but the main focus is both action and
dialogue.
When it comes to horror, I have no plans at the
moment of any kind of horror things related to my
project as I feel the story and characters don’t
suit that genre but the participant who said they
liked horror also added “because of the practical
effects” which is something I do plan on putting in
my film when it comes to the blood in action
scenes and such.
6. Question 5
The opinions of the participants are a little
more divided on this question but there is still
a conclusion to come to as 60 percent of the
audience yes to enjoying films and shows in
the superhero genre and 20 percent said it
depended on the said show or film and a final
20 percent said they just don’t enjoy the
genre no matter if it’s a television show or a
film.
I can narrow down that most of my audience
will enjoy the short film when it has superhero
genre elements such as superpowers but I
feel the genre of my film will not be intrusive
enough when it comes to the people who
don’t like the genre.
7. Question 6
This final question was the biggest divide
between all of the participants as 60
percent of them said they enjoyed
television shows more than films as films
got a 40 percent.
This is big for my short film as now I can
more structure my film like a show to
please more of my audience and this also
means I can tell a more interesting story
that can leave on a cliff hanger and not be
a rushed ending.
8. Psychographics
There are a lot of different types or psychographics
groups that have been used to group together people
so that a product can be both be marketed better
towards them and make the product specially for that
group of people as it has the most of appeal to that
group.
With all of the participants answers on my survey I
feel like my audience is mostly “Mainstreamers” as
they all do enjoy things that are pretty popular and
trendy as they mostly like watching superhero media
and action films which is currently one of if not the
most popular genre of film according to such websites
as thebobapp.com, musicgateway.com and
statista.com.

9. Social Grade
Social Grade is a
From what I've found out from my participants
answers to my survey is that all of my audience is
the social grade of E as all of my participants said
that they are not employed as they are a student in
college. This doesn’t mean that all of my audience
is specifically E though as I believe that some of
my audience may also be D as E and D are very
close as students do also do commonly get jobs
part time whilst working
