This document summarizes the results of a survey about parental controls and online privacy for children ages 3-12:
- 354 parents of children ages 3-12 participated in the survey.
- 73% of parents own smartphones, tablets, or eReaders. 58% own smartphones and 38% own tablets.
- 84% of parents with mobile devices have online app store accounts, most commonly with Apple (54%) or Google (46%).
- 63% of parents with app store accounts have credit cards associated with their accounts to make purchases.
- 72% of parents have never shared their app store usernames or passwords with their children. 28% have to let children download free apps.
