documentary and listen to our radio trailer while viewing our print advert.
Q1: Does the title ‘Industrial Bites’ fit our
documentary?
• 13 people said yes.
Q2: Does the opening title sequence illustrate
the topic of our documentary?
• 13 people said yes it does.
However a few people gave points to improve on
next time such as :
• They thought it was too fast.
• They thought it was too much at once.
Some people gave points that were good about it
such as :
• That it clearly showed what the documentary was
about, and what we was about to see.

anchored the documentary this helped as they
where then able to understand what the

and convey our narrative. Some people gave
tips for next time to improve on which was that
it was very informative and contained detail
that cam across easily.

Overall the majority of the class said that
they could understand the voice over and
it was clear, however 2 people said no and
3 people said do not know. Therefore next
time I will take this into consideration that
it may have been un clear in sections,
and listen to areas that are fuzzy or our un
clear to then re-do. As people who said
this gave a point to improve which was
they it stumbled in areas which I will
highlight next time to re-do.
Q5: Is the documentary relative to the chosen
audience (16-25)?
12- Yes 1- No
Overall most of our classmates said that the
documentary is relative to the chosen
audience. This is what we aimed for so that
our documentary is clear and the age range
for our documentary is direct and
appropriately fitting the audience. Some
people gave us pointers is that, young
people are more health aware, therefore
making it attracting towards the target age
range.

would watch it after the first 5 minutes.
This was because they stated that they
wanted to find out more on the topic and
that the narrative was interesting and all
was relevant to the topic.

narrative.
Radio trailer
Q10: Would our radio trailer make you want to
watch our documentary?
Yes No
11 2
The results show that our
radio trailer is intriguing and
engaging as 11 out of 13
people in our class said that
they would watch our
documentary ‘Industrial
Bites’ just based of our radio
trailer. This conveyed that
the information involved in
was detailed enough to
attract our audience.
Q11: What do you think the strengths and
weakness are of our Radio Trailer?

attention
Informative
music
content

interseting
vocieover
editing

sound
Weaknesses

weaknesess
• Strengths: Overall the top strength was that they thought our Radio trailer
was informative, this implies that not only was it interesting which was
second best along with content, but it was informative in the way it
contained the right amount of detail to be able to highlight to the audience
the documentary will be about. We had 17 strengths, instead of 13 and this
is due to them writing two strengths instead of just one however we found
out that the people who wrote two strengths, then highlighted that they
thought there was not any weakness.
• Weaknesses: Overall 5 people said that our Radio Trailer didn’t have any
weakness which implies it is a strong Trailer which follows codes and
conventions of a radio trailer being able to convey the correct detail to our
audience. We had other results which consisted of that; our sound levels
varied along with the background music. This maybe because the music
over powered the voice over therefore effecting the sound levels, next we
will reduced the levels of the background music to avoid this from
happening.
Q12: Is the voice over for the Radio Trailer clear
and informal and why?
2
No
11
Yes
Overall the voice over the Radio
Trailer results came back as clear
and informal and this is because
our class mates said that the voice
over was good and clear, however
the people who said no
highlighted that the sound is low
and is hard to understand this
maybe because the sound levels
may have been affected, or the
voice over is not clear in areas
due to the background music.
Print Advert
Q13: Would the print
advert make you want to
watch our documentary?
YES NO
11 2
Q14: Do you think our

Q15: Does it connote
the topic of our
documentary?
YES NO
12 1
Overall we had the majority of our classmates said that after seeing our
print advert they would most likely watch our documentary, this portrays
that our print advert has a clear link to the documentary. Also it conveys
that the codes and conventions that we followed during the process of
creating it, makes it appealing to the audience.
The results for if they thought our images worked well highlighted that 10
out of 13 believed they did showing that our theme and narrative can be
seen within the images. Implying the clear link between each image.
Overall the final question was if they thought the print advert connoted
the topic of our documentary. 12 out of 13 people said that the topic was
displayed within the print advert , this implies that our narrative structure
is clear and that it has clear links to our documentary.
