Arts 125 Week 5
Art And Culture
ARTS 125
Art and Culture
Since the beginning of time, artists have labored extensively to find innovative ways to convey
sentiment, passion, and feeling. Telling stories and trying to unlock the minds of people through
different avenues of artistic labors. Art touches and affects people in unique ways; it can have
special or unusual meaning on the person depending on how one views it. Artists' rendering of their
art is interpreted in numerous ways by others who view it unless it is explained by the artist on its
meaning giving a clear example of what they are portraying. Two people looking at the same
painting, sculpture, portrait, or photo may come to different views on the arts meaning even though
they are looking ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There have been many changes from the past and into the 20th century dealing with computers in
1952 the first computer compiler was built to 1991 the world wide web becomes available to the
public. "The 20th century was nearly into its fourth decade before the first electronic computer came
along, and those early machines were behemoths capable of only the most basic tasks" (National
Academy of Engineering 2013). There are many digital enhancements that have occurred in the 20th
century such as Photo Flair, Photoshop, Photo Algorithm Software, and Triangle Photography also
have a software program called Digital Photo Enhancement Services.
Technology helps students who have reading troubles when it comes to reading standard books.
There are also many benefits of digital enhancement such as changing colors and fonts. Entrenching
learning supports in content helps comprehension and building background examples; definitions,
summaries, and key questions can be directly embedded to help with guide reading. Technology
allows students to manipulate the text by copy and pasting.
Many artists depicted theme material subjective theoretically by technology as well. For instance,

artists that also discovered the adverse effects, e.g., Patricia Picnicking – "Restless," Effects like

Open End Research Paper
To be open–ended is to be without an agenda, open to both improvisations and outcomes that are not
preconceived from one's present position. A journey, an adventure, an exploration are in this spirit,
open ended, unknowable from the outset and onwards. The arts, science and technology are
experiencing a period of profound change. Explosive challenges to the institutions and practices of
engineering, art making, and scientific research raise urgent questions of ethics, craft and care for
the planet and its inhabitants. Unforeseen forms of beauty and understanding are possible, but so too
are unexpected risks and threats. A newly global connectivity creates new arenas for interaction
between science, art, and technology but also creates the preconditions for global crises. What is
media art? Simply put, it is a mix of art, science and technology. While it is the art of our current
time, it has barely been registered at the institutional level which continues to spotlight more
conventional forms of art. It is rarely collected and only newly theorized and fighting its way into art
history and other academic disciplines. Much of media art offers radically different experiences for
the viewer than we may expect from more traditional forms of art. Media art can represent temporal
and spatial paramenters that can be changed to create ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Analysis Of A Draughtsman Drawing A Portrait By Albrecht...
In the 1968 art exhibition Cybernetic Serendipity L. D. Harmon and K. C. Knowlton take a simple
picture of two birds flying in the sky and computer generated the photography by converting
electrical signals into numerical representations on magnetic tape, this then provides a digital
version of the photo to be used in computer processing. The photo is divided into fragments where
its generated by numbers. The photo is given a density that's shown by different shades of dots that
creates the computer–generated photograph. In close range, you can see each separate shaded dot
which makes up the photo. At 20–30 feet, away from the overall computer–generated photograph
you are able to conduct the figure that once was an original photograph.
The modernist work I chose was A draughtsman drawing a portrait by Albrecht Durer. Albrecht
Durer was one of the many modernist yet abstract. I chose this Modernist work because Durer is
abstract and he uses perception is a great deal of his art works. Albrecht Durer's artworks were very
diverse and vibrant, they also included modern ways of creativity and originality. Durer was a huge
example of originality which made his drawing A draughtsman drawing a portrait so spectacular
because it had never been seen before. This drawing represented a way to draw people exactly as
they are seen in real life, as three dimensional. The artist as shown in the drawing using Durer's
drawing machine, would draw specific lines that were accurate

Rhetorical Questions About Graphic Design
Narrative intro:
Witty comment rhetorical question about art. Artist quote. Implication of the medium of Graphic
design. What is Graphic design what do i Know about Graphic design. This is my journey of
discovery of the pathway of an arts career specifically in the sector of graphic design. Before i
conducted my research about graphic design i new of only certain aspects of graphic design. I knew
graphic design was a career of the art field and was greatly integrated with technology. They use
tablets, computers, etc to create advertisements.
I had made many assumptions about graphic design before i actually researched it. I believed it was
a extremely low paying job, and as was all art involved jobs. I believed you had to be incredibly
talented ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It all began that day in the computer lab. I logged onto an ebsco resource database and i began
typing in keywords pertaining to artistic careers, but mainly graphic design. I used lots of my
sources i found on the database were taken from encyclopedias. We went as a class to the computer
lab and researched on ebsco database. I was a bit lazy, then a couple weeks later i finally took the
plunge and went to the library. I love books and libraries, but it's just a social issue for me. Books
are so personal and to have someone else read and feel the same things is just so exposing and you
kinda feel naked. So being in a library with other people is somewhat... weird. But finally my friend,
lauren, and i entered the library. I initially had a hard time finding any books, i really don't like
asking for help because it's honestly awkward. But i found an initial art/ film isle. It was very
limited but i didn't expect more from a school library. To my delight i found that there was a
somewhat large isle all pertaining to graphic design. I'm short, so i made sure to bring a tall friend to
reach the books on the top shelf. I proceeded to grab three books, two on the history of graphic
design (which deemed less helpful), and an explanatory manual on the different aspects of Graphic
design. I also watched a documentary on netflix called Abstract: The art of Design I found the best
information in that book, describing the basics of graphic design and in the netflix documentary. The
documentary offered insight on different fields of design whether it was political cartoons, stage
design, typography, or in the fashion industry. The basis of my project is specifically graphic design,
yet graphic design is applicable to many mediums. The book gave me the basic details and
background information, and i could apply my previous knowledge to really understand the netflix
documentary which was a series of interviews of designers and their specifics of their

Art Is Everything You See
Advertising Art Art is everything you see. That favorite brand of yours; an artist made their logo and
look. Many children growing up aspire to be an artist when they are older, but they are a lot of the
time oblivious to what the word artist or art means. It is not just simply painting and drawing on a
piece of paper. While using those mediums is very acceptable as a means of artistry, a computer is
another tool that can broaden any artist's portfolio. Art majors are looked down upon in colleges a
lot of the time, because it 's supposedly not a "real job." Being an artist is not only just a job, but a
lifestyle. One of the best things someone can do as an artist is to pursue advertising. In the field of
advertising, there are many options ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In web design it is typical that one must know the very basics of coding. Typically, they use a form
of coding that is very standardized and is known as CSS and X/HTML ("What is Advertising Art?").
There are also production artists in the field of advertising. A production artist "digitally completes
the design of any given advertising and prepare the files for printing." They also work very closely
with their clients to ensure that everything is up to par ("What is Advertising Art?"). One more
subject in the field of advertising is photography. Photography is a very important aspect when it
comes to advertising. It is all over the place in magazines, billboards, on the internet, almost
everywhere. Photographers meet with their clients, scout for locations, find the perfect lighting, and
set up the rest of their equipment and props ("What is Advertising Art?"). After several years of
being an advertising artist, becoming an art director will become an option. Being an art director
requires immense amount experience in the art industry. Art directors supervise other designers in
the art industry and the production of the art ("What is Advertising Art?"). There is also the option to
start a business. A business owner, however, has a great amount of responsibility along with simply
owning the business. Their responsibilities include both artistic and administrative duties, along with
overseeing the development of their company

Donald Knuth's The Art Of Computer Programming
1. Introduction Donald Knuth, summarises in his book, The Art of Computer Programming, that:
"People think that computer science is the art of geniuses but the actual reality is the opposite, just
many people doing things that build on each other, like a wall of mini stones". (Knuth, 1968) When
looking at an Operating System one could often say that an Operating System is a large sum made
up of small separate parts. Much like how Knuth describes computer science being the "wall of mini
stones". The Operating System, or the "OS" can be defined as "software that communicates with the
hardware and allows other programs to run". (TechTerms.com, 2012) The Operating System makes
use of two modes known as User Mode and Kernel Mode in order to ... Show more content on

This is no different when it comes down to what architecture for the kernel is chosen by which
company, be it that Linux prefers the monolithic kernel structure over the microkernel, and Apple
preferred the nanokernel then moved over to using a more hybrid kernel and Windows... well who
knows! Windows to decided to go the hybrid kernel in conjunction with a client/server subsystem
model. But in all seriousness when it comes down to choosing one structure over the other and
questioning a company on why, they have chosen the one way over another, they will all give you a
different answer for a same effect or operation. However in saying that, if I today had to build a
multi–million Rand computer company, I would have to agree that giving structure to your system
and separating it into "mini–stones"(Knuth, 1968) would have to be the best and the safest way to do
it. Would it be the fastest? Maybe not but with the amount of pure knowledge people are gaining
over the years about hacking systems and stealing sensitive data I would never want all of my data
in any one of my systems to be at risk all the time. That is why I believe using a microkernel, or
even a hybrid kernel is the best way to structure a

Muriel Cooper Canons
In many forms of art, there exists the concepts of canons. The concept of canons refers to a general
set of rules that a group or person has adopted while creating their work, and in time these rules
have become accepted as the style of that group or person by the community. In the case of graphic
design, if we were to look at the canons, two cases come to light. The first one is Bauhaus; founded
in 1919, it could be considered the first emergence of modern design. The second one, Muriel
Cooper; who revolutionized the way the production industry interacts with the design work and
made mass production of these works much more efficient, she also foresaw the potential of digital
media, distributed through computer screens over the internet, even before the internet ... Show

Cooper did not change her design choices based on the industry's demands. Instead, she chose to
change how artists interact with the mass production of their work. Cooper, revolutionized how we,
the people, and the artists connected with art. By making the feedback system between production
and design much shorter, designers could see how their design choices affected the production line.
This makes for better, more efficient production, without changing the quality of the designs. Muriel
Cooper, is truly the maker of the modern world's mass produced design content. A comparison
between Bauhaus and Cooper might seem a little unfair considering that they were entities that
existed in extremely different times. Given the unfortunate destiny of the many schools of Bauhaus,
the closing down of the school and the obligation to work under the pressure of Nazi Germany, they
could have been somewhat obstructed from truly doing what they intended. However, this does not
mean that what Cooper achieved is not remarkable. Her time was the information age, and while the
pressure of this aspect might not be higher than that of Nazi Germany, she achieved great things

Aboriginal Culture In Australia
Many artists use their culture in art work as a way to express themselves which also can reflect on
the society or environment where the art piece was created. Art is used to communicate idea
influenced by the positive and negative impacts from society. Society plays an important role in
shaping one's personality and depending on the Artists art work it can sometimes a representation of
spiritual meanings, political views and emotionally motivated thoughts which can be seen by the
viewers within the piece. There are many ways visual artists express their emotions through their art,

Many artists have crossed over into media art transforming many activities such as, painting,
sculptures or drawing. Digital art roughly started in 1960 as artists started trying to create art with
computers. computers are used in all forms of art today, from photography, illustrations and fine art.
To many people art has been significantly influenced by the development in digital technology. The
ongoing progression has introduced many new, more striking and greater materials for artists to
design more creative pieces. The innovation of technology has expanded and opened new artistic
frontiers that have reduced time in the execution of the piece, allowing more time to be focused on
the ideas. Due to new technologies that are now available can sometimes had negative effects on not
only the art pieces but the artists. The technology of digital art offers a mean of expression that's was

work to become repetitive and lacking imagination. Therefore, the creativity flame dies out, the tide
of inspiration withdraws and the building blocks of the artists imagination freezes. The way society

The Photographer's Eye By Richard Berger
While there were many poignant statements in "Ways of Seeing," I was not a fan of this reading
overall; it seemed to contradict itself time and again. Early on in the piece, Berger talks about art's
spiritual value determining its market value, in conjunction with the rarity of a work of art. Towards
the end of the piece, after berating the reproduction of art for diminishing the value of a piece, he
poses that the corkboards that many people have in their homes–– covered in replicated art and
various slices of life–– should replace museums. I'm confused as to why Berger would present this
idea after showing such disdain towards replication. It seems he has a very strict idea of what art is
and what makes it meaningful, on page 21 of da Vinci's "Virgin on the Rocks" he writes, "it is
authentic and therefore it is beautiful," an idea I find have difficulty to grasp. My ... Show more

Szarkowski's "The Photographer's Eye" was a much more intriguing engaging piece in my opinion,
while it was significantly shorter than Berger's, I felt the message was much clearer. I love the point
he makes about paintings being made and photographs being taken. The influx of photographs in the
1850s after the increased accessibility to the daguerreotype is reminiscent of the influx of 'beat
makers' and home producers in the music industry. When home computers and laptops became
technologically advanced enough for anyone to fit their own, very basic music studio–– in the form
of a digital audio workstation, or DAW, like ProTools or Ableton–– in their computer, music
industry very quickly became over–saturated; everyone wanted to be the next big thing, and the
necessary tools were now at their fingertips. Anyone can become a "producer" and much like the
accidental artistic qualities found in a handful of early photographs, there are a plethora of novice
producers who accidentally create something

I decided to visit the Longmont Museum and Cultural Center (Image 1). The URL for this museum
is http://www.ci.longmont.co.us/museum/. My experience visiting this museum was very different
from the other museums that I have visited more recently. It provided a great deal of interesting
insight and topics for discussion for me to consider. My overall experience consists of the museum's
setting, any personal interactions that occurred, my analysis of my favorite work of art that I
encountered, and my opinions on viewing art in person rather than through other material. This
museum's setting was not at all what I had expected and was rather disappointing. Most museums
have a very solemn and academic mood that encourages silence and thoughtfulness. The Longmont
Museum, however, is set up more like a childrens play area than an actual museum. There needs to
be balance between children's' activities and adult academic learning. Children and adults should

An Artist 's Metamorphosis : Art
An Artist's Metamorphosis
Art has always been a part of my life for as long I can remember. Art class was what I anxiously
looked forward to in grade school. I recall the sadness that I would experience when my teacher did
not pick my coloring sheet to be put on the wall of my second grade classroom, but I also remember
the immense pride I experienced when I discovered that my seahorse sculpture had been picked to
be put in the Zane Grey museum in the third grade. I participated in Chalk On the Walk every year. I
loved it so much that I even had a chalkboard wall painted in my bedroom. My dad would even lift
me up onto his large shoulders so that I could draw on the parts of the wall that my little arms could
not yet reach. I remember drawing a series of pictures, marching down the street with childish
conviction, and selling my drawings to anyone who would buy them for a quarter a piece. When I
look back, I realize those drawings certainly were not as amazing as I believed. The people who had
bought those awful drawings were just trying to be nice to a cute little child. Nevertheless, it started
a confidence and dedication that eventually led to who I am today. When children are asked what
they want to be when they grow up, it is not uncommon to hear that they want to be an artist, a
singer, or even an astronaut. Once children grow older, most of them tend to sway from their
original choice, whether it be from growing up or finding incompatibilities with their interests.

Audrey Flack Credo Chapter Summary
Book Arrangement Art and Soul: Notes on Creating begins with a credo. Audrey Flack's credo

Flack has a laser–sharp focus on her topic and rarely diverges from her message. Use of Outside
Sources Flack uses few sources outside of her own personal experience and ideas. Many of the
sources are from lectures she delivered at different universities. Personal Response Art and Soul
demands to be read outside in nice weather. The text reads like a devotional, a characteristic that
shapes this art–focused book into something inherently more spiritual. Although the book is
intended as a portfolio of knowledge given from Audrey Flack to the reader, what captivated me was
the author herself. Her ethos is established in her tone alone. She commands respect and radiates a
confidence that is reflected in her prose. Audrey Flack is a master in her field, and she knows it. I
also enjoyed my sneak peek into the exclusive art world––a world always shrouded in mystery.

ICT set up–1 PC per student ( Every student will access to a computer each and computers are
arranged in a group of 5to facilitate collaborative working effectively.
Students' Characteristics: Mixed ability
Children have experienced making their artwork through drawing within lines, shapes and colouring
or painting. They have thought that colouring or painting can only be done with the traditional ways
of drawing and painting. They have yet to explore different ways of doing art through painting with
dots, which is called pointillism (the pointillist technique) and includes aspects of colour mixing.
They have not known that they can do dot art through ICT. Pre–requisite knowledge Students have
learnt about primary colours, red, yellow and blue. They have used to create lines and shapes using
primary colours to do their artpiece.
Learning Objectives: By the end of the lesson, the students/pupils will be able to:
1. Recognize that the 2 forms of art (drawing and painting) not only can be done with art
equipments ( brushes and pencils or markers) but also with the ICT tools.
2. Identify the mixtures of at least 2 different primary colours to obtain a secondary colour through
computer by giving them an opportunity to be exposed to online games.

Reaction Paper On Art And Technology
Lyris Jiang Professor Helen Taschian/ TA Madeleine/ Section: Wed 12pm Art 1A 30 October 2017
David Hockney: iPad and iPhone works INTRODUCTION If art should mean something, then it is
not the surprise that art is often tied to tradition. Being attached to traditional techniques, traditional
standards of beauty, and traditional themes in art happens because art that follows tradition gains
meaning from it. When artists reject tradition, or the meaning attached to the tradition, they will
create art that gains meaning from changing or making new techniques, aesthetics, and themes.
There is an argument about whether it is possible to completely reject tradition, or to create art that
is totally new. However, many artists actually try to adopt the middle ground, innovating , moving
away from tradition in some way, but at the same time to honor it another way. Therefore, a major
tool that has revolutionizing art is the computer. "Since its first artistic application nearly thirty years
ago, the computer has radically transformed the way in which art can be made and experienced.
Digital technology has been incorporated into all stages of the art–making process, from design to
execution" (Goodman 248). While it is not uncommon for many artists to reject computer tools
when creating art, it is interesting to think of artists who adopt this modern tool and also seek to
combine it somehow with traditional artistic techniques. To begin, when they use a new tool, it does
not mean much

My Goals Essay
My Goals
There are three careers, which I may be aspired to:
Architects are licensed professionals trained in the art, and science of building design. This means
the overall artistic appreciation, plus the functional look of buildings, or other structures. They
design the overall aesthetic.
Artist generally fall into one of three groups:
Art Directors formulate design concepts, with presentation approaches for visual communications
media.
Fine Artists create original artwork using a variety of media combined with their own techniques.
Multi–Media artists, (including Animators) create special effects such as animation, films, video,
computers, or other electronic media.

To become an Architect you will have to obtain a professional degree in Architecture from one of
the 111 schools that are accredited by the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB). A
second alternative option is to acquire one of three degrees in Architecture that are available through
colleges, and universities. `
If at all possible, Multi–Media Art, and Animators would be my best interest:
Drawing characters, backgrounds, rims, cars, or trucks spends most of my pastime. In addition to
drawing, I would also like to partake classes in Animation. Art directors earned $56,880 in 2000,
and the highest 10% made more than $109,440 dollars. Artist work about 40 hours a week, but
during busy periods, they work overtime to meet deadlines.
Artists need patience to develop their profession. Spending long hours drawing, painting, and
sculpting, they use all the time there is to finish their projects.
Working in studios is the key to promoting and selling their successful works of art.
However, this can expose some artist to fumes from glue, paint, ink, plus other materials. Artists
who sit at drafting tables or use computers for extended periods may experience back pain,
eyestrain, or fatigue. Some Artists work in fine or commercial art studios located in office buildings
(while others work in private studios at home).
Studio surroundings usually are well lighted, and ventilated. Many Artists are self–employed or

For instance, there is much more dependence on realistic scheme in art and new procedures in film
making today than in the past. Realistic strategy tools are used for promotion and presentation but
also can be used to oversee other art methods, such as photography, film, sculpture, painting, and
architecture.
The role of diversity in any situation can only make the outcome better. The more perspective input
that people put into something, the bigger the idea will grow and change. This fact has been proven
from many fields. Sports have evolved from simple hand offs to passing and play action passes,
music has expanded from bluegrass and country to rap and hip hop, rhythm and blues, pop, heavy
metal, and instrumental. None of that would have been possible without the influence of different
cultures and diversity.
The role of women have had an influence on art as well by opening up the softer more motherly side
of art that men may not necessarily be able to tap into. The way that some see women's art work is a
softer more flowing piece. Buildings have a softer line while men design them with edges, sharp
points, and more eye catching details. Photography is more sunsets, animals, insects, or landscape
pictures as if they want to catch life as it is happing naturally where there is no human interaction.

Modern Art History
When I was five years old, my parents took me to the Louvre. Although I was not familiar with all
the famous European artists and how much the paintings valued, I was mesmerized by the animated
pictures on the wall. Standing before the painting, I felt an unspeakable pleasure permitted only to
god himself. From that moment, I knew I was destined to be an artist, just like them in the Louvre.
With the intense passion I had for arts, I kept digging the deeper level of artistic technique and
appreciation. Unfortunately, as I learnt more about art history and style, I could not resist a sense of
boredom. Now technology was developing at a rapid rate, but, in contrast, traditional arts became
more and more pale and powerless. However, in their time, artists like Da Vinci and Raphael were
superstars like Lady Gaga in our time. Just as Renaissance saved the art field once, I thought the art
world needed another revolution now more than ever. And I could feel the fire burning in my chest
and calling my destiny to lead. Combining modern technology with the artistic skills, Virtual Reality
filled every criterion I had for a new art type. It would draw enough attention because of its novelty
and in the same time maximize the value of art design. Excited by my groundbreaking idea, I started

Painting has been a coping mechanism to handle the stress from the arduous amount of work I
experienced in school since I was young. However, I was frustrated when painting because I could

computer course, I was thoroughly amazed by the abilities that a computer is capable of. When I
realized that there was a computer application for painting and marveled at what the application can
do to ease my frustration, I began to develop curiosity about computer functions and mechanisms.
Because of this, I am determined to further my education and ultimately become a computer

I was introduced how to design a graphical user interface that interacts with the user and produce

Defintion Essay
Defintion Essay – Is it Possible to Define Art?
Art is the intentional use of some medium to communicate emotions or ideas between minds. Some
combination of the five senses is used to conduct information, so art may take the form of music,
painting, sculpture, dance, and others. Art may be collaborative, as with the presentation of a
symphony, which may involve a composer, a conductor, players, and a lighting crew all working to
create the art of the presentation. Also, art occurs in at least one level of abstraction removed from
reality, a representation of the real thing.
There is no requirement of beauty in art. Indeed, some of the highest quality in art is attained by
some of the ugliest things. An example is the film, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When I experience Samuel Barber's Adagio with my brother, the message I receive is clear, but it is
not the same as the message my brother receives. It is likely that Samuel Barber intended neither.
Nevertheless, the piece is effective art, since it communicates messages.
Even so, there must have been some intention with which Barber wrote the piece. In general, art
must be the creation of a mind, or group of minds, with at least one purpose. As such, art is never an
accident, whereas it may have some accidental effects on certain members of an audience. The
requirement that art have some purpose from the artist rejects the notion that computers can create
art. Computers may be used as a medium for people to create art, and computers may create what
resembles art, but computers cannot create art.
Another characteristic of art is its necessary element of impracticality. That is not to say that artistic
things cannot be practical; rather, there must be some part of the piece that does more than simply
serve a function. For example, ordering a cheeseburger at McDonald's is an intentional use of the
medium of a voice to communicate a message (the desire for food) between two minds (the
customer and the server). However, it seems somewhat clear that this extreme case does not
constitute a work of art. Still, it would be possible to compose a vocal piece of music that qualifies
as art, even if the words are still, "I'd like a Big Mac, please." The art enters

Computer Science And Medicine Or Art Science
The STEM related fields have always tended to be predominantly male; engineering and my major
of interest–– computer science are composed mainly of male students. These fields have just
recently started seeing more and more women pursuing them. Computer Science is an amazing field
and offers a variety of opportunities in terms of how it can be applied; it can be a combination of
computer science and another field–– computer science and medicine or art/design. There are
endless possibilities as to what future technology can be developed and what new ideas can be
created because of engineers, but if the field remains mostly comprised of men then we're missing
out on the many ideas that the female side and perspective may have to offer.
Learning about Corrinne Yu was enlightening because not only is she an engineer but she's one of
the best in her field, whether it be through gaming, physics, or mechanics. It's refreshing to hear
about a woman changing the standards so drastically in a male–oriented industry like that of gaming
because from my experiences girls who play video games are considered doing it for attention or the
male approval rather than the idea that we generally enjoy just playing the game. Knowing that
some of the designs that transformed the way gaming is now ran was due to her incredible ability,
gave me a lot of hope and ambition to strive to be able to do half of what she was capable of. While
doing my research on her, I knew when I checked the comments on

Reflective Essay On Community Work
Community Work–
Young at Art museum– Creativity and imagination is often overlooked in our current school system,
this organization aims to change that by allowing kids to explore the arts through creative projects
and hands–on activities. While volunteering here I was able to assist kids with their arts and craft
projects and pushed them to to think more creatively. I believe that creativity sparks innovation
which is an important value to have in life. I was in charge of overseeing projects such as the
creation of puppets using recycled thrash, drafting digital comic books, the setup of fashion week,
and many other creative projects. I played an active role in inspiring kids to use their imagination to
create masterpieces and enriching the community as a result.
Miami–Dade Animal Shelter– Pets have always been in my life and my love for animals transfer to
my community work. The Miami–Dade animal shelter is one of the largest animal shelters in the U.S
and they require a lot of volunteering in order to maintain the health and care of all the animals. In
response I have taken care of multiple orphaned animals throughout multiple weeks so they can
become accustomed to domestic life and be adopted one day. My tasks involved various tedious but
necessary chores such as cleaning up after them, feeding them, bathing them, and many other task. I
feel it's important to help out animals because they have always been around me since a child.
Clubs–
Mentors in Action– This club is tasked with providing services to the community throughout
multiple means such as fundraising and supply drives. This year we will focusing on helping
orphanages, foster homes, and homeless shelters in our local area by raising supplies such as food
and books from our community. This club's activities and goals are flexible so they are able to help
meet the various needs of the community. I joined this club because I feel it's a responsibility to give
back to those who need care and can't provide for themselves.
National Art Honor Society– This club's goal is to spread awareness of art by inspiring students with
projects such as chalk murals and the Art Fair. Students often feel not talented enough to get

Digital Art : Traditional Vs. Traditional Art
Usually, the word "art" is associated with painting, or the class that was required in primary school,
but that is not always the case. There are far more mediums and styles to art than one can imagine.
There are two major groups to art, traditional and digital. Traditional includes majority of the arts
that require being hands–on and having a physical result, such as a painted canvas, or a clay
sculpture. Digital art uses a computer to create the art, such as using a drawing tablet, or a 3D
sculpting program, such as Blender, or ZBrush, which are common for 3D animation, or video game
configurations. While these two concepts sound completely different, they also jive together to make
the best products. Without the computer, there would not be digital art, and today's art would be
limited to the traditional factors, not that traditional art is limiting, there are just many more
advances thanks to technology and its evolution through everyday. Overall, Digital art is better than
Traditional art because it is indestructible, it takes up less space, and its constantly evolving.
Traditional art has been around since the very beginning of the human race, including the
Stonehenge, and the cave wall paintings in France. Even if today we can not tell what they mean, or
what they are, it is still considered are by many, and will be for years to come. As people and
materials evolved, other mediums were created, and art began becoming more relevant in history,

Pepsi Analysis : Pepsi Cola
Abstract
Pepsi–cola aimed to tap into the pulse of the prevailing counterculture movement of the 1970s. The
company recruited a unique blend of artists and engineers under the banner of Experiments in Art
and Technology. The Pepsi Pavilion project served as a experiment and a landmark that integrated
social interactions, electronic media, performance art, and futuristic concepts that created mind–
altering realities. The Pepsi Pavilion in Osaka, Japan was built for display and therefore had
significant symbolic meaning attached. The designers of Pepsi Pavilion were attracted to the
aesthetic radicalism brought about by the collaboration between the arts, sciences. The Pavilion was
designed to provide viewers with the opportunity to shape their own reality from the interaction of
art, technology through a variety of processes within the structure.
Introduction
In the late 1960s, Pepsi–Cola thought it wise to connect with the ongoing youth counterculture. The
Osaka 70 Expo was the perfect opportunity for the American company to bolster its Brand. Pepsi
executives were hoping to build the theme of "youth and community" into the exhibition. David
Thomas, a Pepsi executive, explored the New York art scene and found a team of artists and
engineers who later collaborated as E. A. T. a group of Artists designers and Engineers. The Pepsi
Pavilion emerged as an intricate crossbreed of media technology, cybernetics and integrated design.

Linear Perspective In Art Analysis
Every artist has his own emotional relationship with his artworks that makes his art distinct with the
emotions the observer manifests when they perceive it. An artist's connection with his artwork
would result to a distinct perspective. Perspective is a technique in art which creates an illusion of
three–dimension on a two–dimensional surface. It makes a painting seem real. Linear perspective in
Western art prospered in the early 15th century. It was used in plotting and determining where things
should lead. Leon Battista Alberti, a Renaissance artist and Filippo Brunelleschi, an architect were
the innovators of linear perspective. Up to now, artists are still using Alberti's one–vanishing–point
system (Evans, 2015). Perspective in painting is used to establish the view from which the expert or
observer is situated through placing a horizontal line across the ... Show more content on

Indeed, there exists the realm of thoughts, realm of the sentiments, realm of creativity and the realm
of the ego. These words live inside every person since everyone knows inner proofs which the artists
could see to be noticeable and constant. For instance, the famous painting "Starry Night" created by
Vincent van Gogh was painted at a crucial time. For a long time, his art had been a battlefield amidst
fact and feeling, amidst the outer world of perception which is painted by an impressionist and the
inner world of sentiment which is painted by an expressionist. But in the painting "Starry Night",
expressionism took place (Barr, 1988). According to Gould (2014), one should alter the manner he
thinks about traditional and digital channels but determine what role one has to perform and the way
they should be used efficiently. In the same way, the students create things through the use of
extremely limited medium as a response to a subject matter through design judgment and innovative

Essay about The Acceptance of Digital Art
The Acceptance of Digital Art
Digital art has a fifty–year history of innovation and experimentation with new technology. The
Pioneers of digital art were not artists but people who were exploring new visions through
computers and the writing of computer programs. According to the Digital Art Museum, which is a
joint venture between London Guildhall University and two independent art galleries, digital art can
currently be classified according to three phases Phase I of digital art was from 1956–1986. The
Paintbox Era, the second phase, lasted from 1986–1996. Art software became readily available and
attracted more artists to the new media. Especially useful was the paint program and devices such as

It is becoming more widely accepted as an art form but only a few museums and galleries display
computer art.
These technological innovations however, have allowed artists to combine traditional forms with
new electronic techniques to produce unique and exciting works of art. The computer has
increasingly become a versatile tool for digital artists. Many artists are creating dynamic and
flexible works of art through computer networks. The digital age is creating a new movement in the
art world and the computer is becoming a symbol for this revolution. The future of Digital art is
tremendous and it has the capability of transforming how art is defined and created. It is not the tool
that determines what is art, but the artist and their personal vision and style. The complexity and
diversity of the new digital media will be challenging to artists and allow them a new means to
express their vision of the world.
Most people are of the opinion that art must be created in the old fashioned way to be considered
fine art. Traditional art is created with pen and ink, brush and paint or chisel and stone. Art
generated by a computer however, defies the traditional rules, values and boundaries of the
mainstream art community. The computer is considered technical; therefore, it is not artistic.
Computer artists must contend with the close mindedness of the traditional art world. The digital
media artist is thought to be less skillful than a painter or sculptor

Special effects artists often have to problem solve to achieve the effect they desire. Sfx artists have
different levels and styles of work, some use prosthetics to create monsters, a bloody victim, or a

This style of art is commonly seen on halloween, while the starter kits can bring interest to the art

This art has different fields that many special effects artists daple in. There are artists that work in
mainly makeup and body paint, who use the makeup to create illusions. This style of art manipulates
shadows that could convince the eye that something is hidden or added that wasn't originally there.
Pop Art is a common artform that is recreated on a person, but these artists can also use gory

Technology And Technology : The Effects Of Technology In...
Technology and electronics are the biggest sellers on Black Friday; however, how often do people
really think about the effects of technology on them and future generations? Future generations are
always impacted by the current generation's thoughts and feelings on issues, and in this case, almost
all children now have access to extensive technology. Technology has its good points and bad
points, just like anything else. It can help educate children, however it can also hurt them in several
different ways. Since technology has come into the picture, musicians in the world are down 8.4
percent as of 2012. The amount of artistic people in general in the world has gone down, even
though the population of the world is still going up. Children are not getting excited for arts as much
with schools cutting the programs, using electronic toys too much, having trouble in school, and
possible medical problems from too much technology that inhibits them from the arts. Technology is
limiting the creativity for everyone, especially children, the next generation.
Schools all over the country are cutting arts programs, yet keeping the chromebooks and computers.
If children are not exposed to arts during school, they may not ever discover a passion or talent for
the arts. Great musicians and artists come from being in band in school, and art class. Some students
get private lessons, but if they had not been exposed to it in school, they would have no interest. In

Fashion Illustration Essay
Illustration is an art that allows to create an amazing aesthetics that is hard to remake or achieve
with the same aesthetic value using digital technologies or photography because of the emotional
atmosphere, transfer of mood of the work of art and detailed visualization of images. The term
"illustration" itself has a several meanings, but the most known is 'art design'. In the past, illustration
due to its characteristics been only associated with books and magazines as a support for a text.
However, as the time passed illustration became an individual type of art that no longer need to play
a supporting role for anything. This evolution leads illustration forward to the division of a broader
term into narrower subtopics, which introduced the creation of fashion illustration. From that point,
it was clear that fashion illustration is one of the oldest and most important movements in the history
of illustration. Through the time, it has always had a touch with graphic design and fine arts, it has
an undeniable influence on fashion and vice versa. Right now, it is possible to recognize another
story of fashion by them because they reflect an individual and not a group view on it, unlike in

Abstract Photography
Abstract photography is sometimes called non–objective, experimental, conceptual or concrete
photography. In abstract photography, a visual image that does not have an immediate association
with the object world is depicted. These photographs are created through the use of photographic
equipment and materials.
Abstract photographs might also isolate a part of a natural scene (say focus on the inner patterns of a
flower's pollen or the veins of a leaf) and might be purposely staged to create an unreal effect from
real objects. This might involve certain manipulations to the color, light and shadow to bring the
texture and shape into special focus.
Traditional photographic equipment including the camera, darkroom or computer can be used to

For example, most military games are based solely on some war or other, such as the games Call of
Duty or Medal of Honor. Neither game is very original, as they really have no storyline other than to
run around shooting the enemies. Originality is a prime requisite of a game being considered art.
Other games lacking in uniqueness are games based on movies or books. Most famous in this
category are the Star Wars games and Lord of the Rings series. Both may be very fun to play, but
being fun to play does not make them art. Art is original, fresh, never–before–thought–of material.
Star Wars and Lord of the Rings both have engaging storylines, but said storylines had already been
established years before any game was produced. Again, to be art, a video game must have an
original storyline, not a preconceived one. As a rule, few games meet the originality criterion, but
there are exceptions. The Legend of Zelda. To any gamer it is a familiar name. The reason is simple
– it was the first of its kind. The Legend of Zelda was the dawning of the role–playing genre in
video games. As a role–playing game, it allowed the gamer to be in the decision–making role, not
just a straight line, no choices game, as most were at the time. This was a new concept for a video
game at the time The Legend of Zelda was released. The storyline was a huge success, as it drew the
players into the game world, made them feel as if they were a part of it. In The Legend of

Arts 125 Week 5 Explores Art and Culture Through History and Technology

  • 1. Arts 125 Week 5 Art And Culture ARTS 125 Art and Culture Since the beginning of time, artists have labored extensively to find innovative ways to convey sentiment, passion, and feeling. Telling stories and trying to unlock the minds of people through different avenues of artistic labors. Art touches and affects people in unique ways; it can have special or unusual meaning on the person depending on how one views it. Artists' rendering of their art is interpreted in numerous ways by others who view it unless it is explained by the artist on its meaning giving a clear example of what they are portraying. Two people looking at the same painting, sculpture, portrait, or photo may come to different views on the arts meaning even though they are looking ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 5. Open End Research Paper To be open–ended is to be without an agenda, open to both improvisations and outcomes that are not preconceived from one's present position. A journey, an adventure, an exploration are in this spirit, open ended, unknowable from the outset and onwards. The arts, science and technology are experiencing a period of profound change. Explosive challenges to the institutions and practices of engineering, art making, and scientific research raise urgent questions of ethics, craft and care for the planet and its inhabitants. Unforeseen forms of beauty and understanding are possible, but so too are unexpected risks and threats. A newly global connectivity creates new arenas for interaction between science, art, and technology but also creates the preconditions for global crises. What is media art? Simply put, it is a mix of art, science and technology. While it is the art of our current time, it has barely been registered at the institutional level which continues to spotlight more conventional forms of art. It is rarely collected and only newly theorized and fighting its way into art history and other academic disciplines. Much of media art offers radically different experiences for the viewer than we may expect from more traditional forms of art. Media art can represent temporal and spatial paramenters that can be changed to create ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... We are witnessing the transformation of the image into a computer–generated, virtual and spatial entity that seemingly is capable of changing "autonomously" and representing a lifelike, visual– auditory–sensory sphere. • 9. Analysis Of A Draughtsman Drawing A Portrait By Albrecht... In the 1968 art exhibition Cybernetic Serendipity L. D. Harmon and K. C. Knowlton take a simple picture of two birds flying in the sky and computer generated the photography by converting electrical signals into numerical representations on magnetic tape, this then provides a digital version of the photo to be used in computer processing. The photo is divided into fragments where its generated by numbers. The photo is given a density that's shown by different shades of dots that creates the computer–generated photograph. In close range, you can see each separate shaded dot which makes up the photo. At 20–30 feet, away from the overall computer–generated photograph you are able to conduct the figure that once was an original photograph. The modernist work I chose was A draughtsman drawing a portrait by Albrecht Durer. Albrecht Durer was one of the many modernist yet abstract. I chose this Modernist work because Durer is abstract and he uses perception is a great deal of his art works. Albrecht Durer's artworks were very diverse and vibrant, they also included modern ways of creativity and originality. Durer was a huge example of originality which made his drawing A draughtsman drawing a portrait so spectacular because it had never been seen before. This drawing represented a way to draw people exactly as they are seen in real life, as three dimensional. The artist as shown in the drawing using Durer's drawing machine, would draw specific lines that were accurate ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 13. Rhetorical Questions About Graphic Design Narrative intro: Witty comment rhetorical question about art. Artist quote. Implication of the medium of Graphic design. What is Graphic design what do i Know about Graphic design. This is my journey of discovery of the pathway of an arts career specifically in the sector of graphic design. Before i conducted my research about graphic design i new of only certain aspects of graphic design. I knew graphic design was a career of the art field and was greatly integrated with technology. They use tablets, computers, etc to create advertisements. I had made many assumptions about graphic design before i actually researched it. I believed it was a extremely low paying job, and as was all art involved jobs. I believed you had to be incredibly talented ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It all began that day in the computer lab. I logged onto an ebsco resource database and i began typing in keywords pertaining to artistic careers, but mainly graphic design. I used lots of my sources i found on the database were taken from encyclopedias. We went as a class to the computer lab and researched on ebsco database. I was a bit lazy, then a couple weeks later i finally took the plunge and went to the library. I love books and libraries, but it's just a social issue for me. Books are so personal and to have someone else read and feel the same things is just so exposing and you kinda feel naked. So being in a library with other people is somewhat... weird. But finally my friend, lauren, and i entered the library. I initially had a hard time finding any books, i really don't like asking for help because it's honestly awkward. But i found an initial art/ film isle. It was very limited but i didn't expect more from a school library. To my delight i found that there was a somewhat large isle all pertaining to graphic design. I'm short, so i made sure to bring a tall friend to reach the books on the top shelf. I proceeded to grab three books, two on the history of graphic design (which deemed less helpful), and an explanatory manual on the different aspects of Graphic design. I also watched a documentary on netflix called Abstract: The art of Design I found the best information in that book, describing the basics of graphic design and in the netflix documentary. The documentary offered insight on different fields of design whether it was political cartoons, stage design, typography, or in the fashion industry. The basis of my project is specifically graphic design, yet graphic design is applicable to many mediums. The book gave me the basic details and background information, and i could apply my previous knowledge to really understand the netflix documentary which was a series of interviews of designers and their specifics of their ... • 17. Art Is Everything You See Advertising Art Art is everything you see. That favorite brand of yours; an artist made their logo and look. Many children growing up aspire to be an artist when they are older, but they are a lot of the time oblivious to what the word artist or art means. It is not just simply painting and drawing on a piece of paper. While using those mediums is very acceptable as a means of artistry, a computer is another tool that can broaden any artist's portfolio. Art majors are looked down upon in colleges a lot of the time, because it 's supposedly not a "real job." Being an artist is not only just a job, but a lifestyle. One of the best things someone can do as an artist is to pursue advertising. In the field of advertising, there are many options ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In web design it is typical that one must know the very basics of coding. Typically, they use a form of coding that is very standardized and is known as CSS and X/HTML ("What is Advertising Art?"). There are also production artists in the field of advertising. A production artist "digitally completes the design of any given advertising and prepare the files for printing." They also work very closely with their clients to ensure that everything is up to par ("What is Advertising Art?"). One more subject in the field of advertising is photography. Photography is a very important aspect when it comes to advertising. It is all over the place in magazines, billboards, on the internet, almost everywhere. Photographers meet with their clients, scout for locations, find the perfect lighting, and set up the rest of their equipment and props ("What is Advertising Art?"). After several years of being an advertising artist, becoming an art director will become an option. Being an art director requires immense amount experience in the art industry. Art directors supervise other designers in the art industry and the production of the art ("What is Advertising Art?"). There is also the option to start a business. A business owner, however, has a great amount of responsibility along with simply owning the business. • 21. Donald Knuth's The Art Of Computer Programming 1. Introduction Donald Knuth, summarises in his book, The Art of Computer Programming, that: "People think that computer science is the art of geniuses but the actual reality is the opposite, just many people doing things that build on each other, like a wall of mini stones". (Knuth, 1968) When looking at an Operating System one could often say that an Operating System is a large sum made up of small separate parts. Much like how Knuth describes computer science being the "wall of mini stones". But in all seriousness when it comes down to choosing one structure over the other and questioning a company on why, they have chosen the one way over another, they will all give you a different answer for a same effect or operation. However in saying that, if I today had to build a multi–million Rand computer company, I would have to agree that giving structure to your system and separating it into "mini–stones"(Knuth, 1968) would have to be the best and the safest way to do it. Would it be the fastest? Maybe not but with the amount of pure knowledge people are gaining over the years about hacking systems and stealing sensitive data I would never want all of my data in any one of my systems to be at risk all the time. • 25. Muriel Cooper Canons In many forms of art, there exists the concepts of canons. The concept of canons refers to a general set of rules that a group or person has adopted while creating their work, and in time these rules have become accepted as the style of that group or person by the community. In the case of graphic design, if we were to look at the canons, two cases come to light. The first one is Bauhaus; founded in 1919, it could be considered the first emergence of modern design. The second one, Muriel Cooper; who revolutionized the way the production industry interacts with the design work and made mass production of these works much more efficient, she also foresaw the potential of digital media, distributed through computer screens over the internet, even before the internet ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Cooper did not change her design choices based on the industry's demands. Instead, she chose to change how artists interact with the mass production of their work. Cooper, revolutionized how we, the people, and the artists connected with art. This makes for better, more efficient production, without changing the quality of the designs. Muriel Cooper, is truly the maker of the modern world's mass produced design content. A comparison between Bauhaus and Cooper might seem a little unfair considering that they were entities that existed in extremely different times. Given the unfortunate destiny of the many schools of Bauhaus, the closing down of the school and the obligation to work under the pressure of Nazi Germany, they could have been somewhat obstructed from truly doing what they intended. However, this does not mean that what Cooper achieved is not remarkable. • 37. The Photographer's Eye By Richard Berger While there were many poignant statements in "Ways of Seeing," I was not a fan of this reading overall; it seemed to contradict itself time and again. Early on in the piece, Berger talks about art's spiritual value determining its market value, in conjunction with the rarity of a work of art. Towards the end of the piece, after berating the reproduction of art for diminishing the value of a piece, he poses that the corkboards that many people have in their homes–– covered in replicated art and various slices of life–– should replace museums. I'm confused as to why Berger would present this idea after showing such disdain towards replication. It seems he has a very strict idea of what art is and what makes it meaningful, on page 21 of da Vinci's "Virgin on the Rocks" he writes, "it is authentic and therefore it is beautiful," an idea I find have difficulty to grasp. When home computers and laptops became technologically advanced enough for anyone to fit their own, very basic music studio–– in the form of a digital audio workstation, or DAW, like ProTools or Ableton–– in their computer, music industry very quickly became over–saturated; everyone wanted to be the next big thing, and the necessary tools were now at their fingertips. My overall experience consists of the museum's setting, any personal interactions that occurred, my analysis of my favorite work of art that I encountered, and my opinions on viewing art in person rather than through other material. This museum's setting was not at all what I had expected and was rather disappointing. Most museums have a very solemn and academic mood that encourages silence and thoughtfulness. The Longmont Museum, however, is set up more like a childrens play area than an actual museum. There needs to be balance between children's' activities and adult academic learning. I recall the sadness that I would experience when my teacher did not pick my coloring sheet to be put on the wall of my second grade classroom, but I also remember the immense pride I experienced when I discovered that my seahorse sculpture had been picked to be put in the Zane Grey museum in the third grade. I participated in Chalk On the Walk every year. I loved it so much that I even had a chalkboard wall painted in my bedroom. My dad would even lift me up onto his large shoulders so that I could draw on the parts of the wall that my little arms could not yet reach. I remember drawing a series of pictures, marching down the street with childish conviction, and selling my drawings to anyone who would buy them for a quarter a piece. When I look back, I realize those drawings certainly were not as amazing as I believed. The people who had bought those awful drawings were just trying to be nice to a cute little child. Nevertheless, it started a confidence and dedication that eventually led to who I am today. When children are asked what they want to be when they grow up, it is not uncommon to hear that they want to be an artist, a singer, or even an astronaut. Reaction Paper On Art And Technology Lyris Jiang Professor Helen Taschian/ TA Madeleine/ Section: Wed 12pm Art 1A 30 October 2017 David Hockney: iPad and iPhone works INTRODUCTION If art should mean something, then it is not the surprise that art is often tied to tradition. Being attached to traditional techniques, traditional standards of beauty, and traditional themes in art happens because art that follows tradition gains meaning from it. When artists reject tradition, or the meaning attached to the tradition, they will create art that gains meaning from changing or making new techniques, aesthetics, and themes. There is an argument about whether it is possible to completely reject tradition, or to create art that is totally new. However, many artists actually try to adopt the middle ground, innovating , moving away from tradition in some way, but at the same time to honor it another way. Therefore, a major tool that has revolutionizing art is the computer. "Since its first artistic application nearly thirty years ago, the computer has radically transformed the way in which art can be made and experienced. Digital technology has been incorporated into all stages of the art–making process, from design to execution" (Goodman 248). While it is not uncommon for many artists to reject computer tools when creating art, it is interesting to think of artists who adopt this modern tool and also seek to combine it somehow with traditional artistic techniques. Some combination of the five senses is used to conduct information, so art may take the form of music, painting, sculpture, dance, and others. Art may be collaborative, as with the presentation of a symphony, which may involve a composer, a conductor, players, and a lighting crew all working to create the art of the presentation. Also, art occurs in at least one level of abstraction removed from reality, a representation of the real thing. There is no requirement of beauty in art. Indeed, some of the highest quality in art is attained by some of the ugliest things. An example is the film, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... When I experience Samuel Barber's Adagio with my brother, the message I receive is clear, but it is not the same as the message my brother receives. It is likely that Samuel Barber intended neither. Nevertheless, the piece is effective art, since it communicates messages. Even so, there must have been some intention with which Barber wrote the piece. In general, art must be the creation of a mind, or group of minds, with at least one purpose. As such, art is never an accident, whereas it may have some accidental effects on certain members of an audience. The requirement that art have some purpose from the artist rejects the notion that computers can create art. Computers may be used as a medium for people to create art, and computers may create what resembles art, but computers cannot create art. Another characteristic of art is its necessary element of impracticality. That is not to say that artistic things cannot be practical; rather, there must be some part of the piece that does more than simply serve a function. For example, ordering a cheeseburger at McDonald's is an intentional use of the medium of a voice to communicate a message (the desire for food) between two minds (the customer and the server). However, it seems somewhat clear that this extreme case does not constitute a work of art. Still, it would be possible to compose a vocal piece of music that qualifies as art, even if the words are still, "I'd like a Big Mac, please." The art enters ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 90. Digital Art : Traditional Vs. Traditional Art Usually, the word "art" is associated with painting, or the class that was required in primary school, but that is not always the case. There are far more mediums and styles to art than one can imagine. There are two major groups to art, traditional and digital. Traditional includes majority of the arts that require being hands–on and having a physical result, such as a painted canvas, or a clay sculpture. Digital art uses a computer to create the art, such as using a drawing tablet, or a 3D sculpting program, such as Blender, or ZBrush, which are common for 3D animation, or video game configurations. While these two concepts sound completely different, they also jive together to make the best products. Without the computer, there would not be digital art, and today's art would be limited to the traditional factors, not that traditional art is limiting, there are just many more advances thanks to technology and its evolution through everyday. Overall, Digital art is better than Traditional art because it is indestructible, it takes up less space, and its constantly evolving. Traditional art has been around since the very beginning of the human race, including the Stonehenge, and the cave wall paintings in France. It makes a painting seem real. Linear perspective in Western art prospered in the early 15th century. It was used in plotting and determining where things should lead. Leon Battista Alberti, a Renaissance artist and Filippo Brunelleschi, an architect were the innovators of linear perspective. Up to now, artists are still using Alberti's one–vanishing–point system (Evans, 2015). These words live inside every person since everyone knows inner proofs which the artists could see to be noticeable and constant. For instance, the famous painting "Starry Night" created by Vincent van Gogh was painted at a crucial time. For a long time, his art had been a battlefield amidst fact and feeling, amidst the outer world of perception which is painted by an impressionist and the inner world of sentiment which is painted by an expressionist. But in the painting "Starry Night", expressionism took place (Barr, 1988). The Pioneers of digital art were not artists but people who were exploring new visions through computers and the writing of computer programs. According to the Digital Art Museum, which is a joint venture between London Guildhall University and two independent art galleries, digital art can currently be classified according to three phases Phase I of digital art was from 1956–1986. It is becoming more widely accepted as an art form but only a few museums and galleries display computer art. These technological innovations however, have allowed artists to combine traditional forms with new electronic techniques to produce unique and exciting works of art. The computer has increasingly become a versatile tool for digital artists. Many artists are creating dynamic and flexible works of art through computer networks. The digital age is creating a new movement in the art world and the computer is becoming a symbol for this revolution. The future of Digital art is tremendous and it has the capability of transforming how art is defined and created. It is not the tool that determines what is art, but the artist and their personal vision and style. The complexity and diversity of the new digital media will be challenging to artists and allow them a new means to express their vision of the world. Most people are of the opinion that art must be created in the old fashioned way to be considered fine art. Traditional art is created with pen and ink, brush and paint or chisel and stone. Art generated by a computer however, defies the traditional rules, values and boundaries of the mainstream art community. The computer is considered technical; therefore, it is not artistic. Computer artists must contend with the close mindedness of the traditional art world. The digital media artist is thought to be less skillful than a painter or sculptor ... Neither game is very original, as they really have no storyline other than to run around shooting the enemies. Originality is a prime requisite of a game being considered art. Other games lacking in uniqueness are games based on movies or books. Most famous in this category are the Star Wars games and Lord of the Rings series. Both may be very fun to play, but being fun to play does not make them art. Art is original, fresh, never–before–thought–of material. Star Wars and Lord of the Rings both have engaging storylines, but said storylines had already been established years before any game was produced.
