advancements, deregulation and competitive pricing and marketing strategies are what have driven change in regards to JetBlue. The paper goes on to
explain how each of these factors affects and drives change in the other three. Deregulation occurred to increase competition; competition in turn affects
innovation in marketing and pricing as well as technology, yet this process has no specific order with regards to where the change starts as innovation

that occurred in 1978 revolutionized the business and it's pricing. It then goes on to the industry analysis which discusses how travel agencies affected

The airline industry is currently unprofitable; it lost $9.4 billion in 2009 and is forecasted to lose another $2.8 billion in 2010. Analysts agree that, if
done properly, merging two airlines into one can reduce capacity in a saturated industry that already has too many planes in the air, and permit the
newly merged carrier to cut its employee ranks and consolidate costly operations for services like reservations and gate maintenance. If profits return,
the airlines could invest them into improving customer service and possibly waiving fees for baggage and in–flight meals that have frustrated
travelers. However, the key words are "if done properly." Past experience of airlines has shown that consolidation has not always fostered higher
prices and profits (Knowledge@Wharton, 2010). For example, in 1987 USAir acquired Piedmont Aviation for $1.6 billion. Prior to the merger, these

They also looked at traditional public schools, charter, private and nonreligious regular schools to identify if the use of a traditional salary schedule
was prevalent. Over 90% of traditional schools use some form of schedule versus charter–62.2%, private–65.9%, and nonreligious regular

performance on evaluations conducted by the principal to student achievement. It was concluded, "Research literature to date and particularly the
recent work by Jacobs and Lefgren show that subjective evaluations of teacher performance are valid measures of teacher effectiveness as measured
by student achievement gains." (p. 562). Principal evaluations reflecting low stakes were used to acquire these results. The question still remains if
these types of evaluations will continue to be of value in a merit based system. Also would a principal who would normally give a teacher a lower

The negative effects of gifted education include funding issues for hiring teachers capable of teaching gifted students and allocation of funds. Again,
movements such as NCLB have overlooked the population of gifted students. Collaboration and planning a curriculum that uses differentiated
instruction is an effective way to reach gifted students. Since funding is in short supply for gifted education, reaching out to community leaders will
help them gain an understanding of the needs of gifted children. This can help dispel the myth that "gifted children can make it on their own"
(Roberts & Siegle, 2012). To save gifted education and serve gifted students, some schools are turning to the Schoolwide Cluster Grouping Model
(SCGM). "When implemented well, the SCGM represents one viable solution for providing effective and consistent gifted services within certain

making it possible that all students' needs are met (Brulles & Winebrenner, 2011). Funds will still have to be allocated for teacher training.
