Provoking The Demon
Psychological Horror: 1 hour 49 minutes
(Opening up to 2 minutes)
The first scene will feature both protagonists at a graveyard. I will use a zoom
shot to begin with and then use a tilt shot to focus on the grave, which the
characters are visiting. The characters will be looking at the grave and mourning.
From the beginning a voice over of the main characters will be heard. The scene
then changes to a living room, where a medium shot records the couple having a
conversation. This is where Jessica (Taylar) has doubts about contacting her
deceased friend by using a Ouija board. In the same shot Liam (Jordan) manages
to convince Jessica to try out the board.
An aerial shot allows us to see the Ouija board being used by the pair. This is
followed by a close up of Jessica looking shocked. The close up shot allows us to
see the expression on the characters face in detail. After watching Jessica looking
shocked, we see an extreme close up of the Ouija board. The extreme close up
allows us to see the stone moving towards the ‘GOOD BYE’ symbol on the board.
Tracking is then used to follow Jessica as she searches the graveyard looking for
Liam. A medium close up then shows Jessica looking into the distance until Liam
appears looking possessed behind her. The scene then fades to black and the title
‘Provoking The Demon’ appears.
Throughout the whole opening a voice over and music can be heard. Fade to
blacks are used as transitions.
