is growing at a rate of 16% CAGR and is
predicted to grow at 20% in upcoming
years and is predicted to cross the 10,000-
crore mark by 2020-21.
• Extreme sports or adventure sports are
activities undertaken through the medium
of Land, Water, and Air and perceived as
involving a high degree of risk.
• India can be considered as an ideal place
to promote adventure and outdoor
activities due to its vast topological layout
and diversity.
• Extreme sports that can be explored in
India are trekking, parasailing, rock
climbing, mountaineering, skiing,
camping, scuba diving, and safari and
many more.
