2. What is the problem?
 Traffic congestion.
 Longer wait at intersection on peak hour.
 Unnecessary wait for green traffic signal when no other vehicle is on other side.
 Uncertainty of when signal is turning green, yellow or red at next intersection.
 Waste of fuel due to frequent stop and start.
 Difficulty in fast movement of emergency vehicles.
 High cost of maintenance for traffic signals.

3. How does product/service solve problem?
• The product enables vehicles to communicate with each
other to know their present location and direction of
movement. Based on this information it can calculate a
schedule for each vehicle such that all the vehicles can
pass the intersection with minimal or no wait time.
• The product will also be capable of communicating with
traffic signals, so that the traffic signals can be
synchronized with vehicle movement.
• The product can prioritize the movement of certain
vehicles. The emergency vehicles can be set with high
priority.
• If all the vehicles are equipped with the product there
wouldn’t be any need of traffic signals.

4. What is the market use?
• The product can be integrated with new vehicles.
• It can be integrated with existing vehicles that have
advanced computer systems.
• The product can be developed as a portable device
that can be used by existing vehicle owners.

5. What competition exists?
• None: Only safety related V2V communication
product are being developed.
• Synchronization of vehicle movement has not been
attempted yet.

6. What is the status of the intellectual property?
• A provisional patent for the device is filed.

7. What is the stage of development?
• We are in ready state to develop a working
prototype of proposed device.
• We have completed
– Design of product
– Solution for reliable long range V2V communication
network.
– Solution for artificial intelligence program that
manages synchronization among vehicles and
infrastructure.

8. What is needed for further development?
• A small team of experts to implement the solution
(Develop the working prototype).
• Test area and resources: After development of
working prototype, detailed testing is required at
field level, needing a dedicated test area which
includes various intersections and number of
subject vehicles.
• The proposed system requires the vehicles to
communicate with traffic signal control system,
– coordinate with corresponding agencies.
