Llamas Of The Future Research Paper
A wise person once said "Without history there would be no future". So this person is saying that
you have to have a past to have a future. So you can use the past to get through the future. This
essay will show you that you have to have a past and to go through things in order to have a future.
This paragraph is about llamas and where they came from. Llamas are a member of the camelid
family. The relatives are the Camel, the Alpaca, the Guanaco, and the Vicuna (Clark, Donna.) The
Guanaco is predicted to be the progenitor of the llamas. They originate from the central high Andean
Mountains of South America. But it is said that llamas and their family lived in the North American
plains 40 million years age, then they spread out across the ... Show more content on

George Washington was a continental army leader and the first US president from 1789 to 1797. He
was born February 22,1732 in Virginia. George Washington died December 14, 1799 ("George

Henry Vill. Most of the money he had was lost in the Puritan revolution. Augustine (Georges father)

What Is Future Shock?
Technology is utilized by people worldwide, on a daily basis, the capability of devices and the
impact it inflicts on our lives is continual. Alvin Toffler author in the 70's, was aware of the
implementation, of moving forward too quickly with technology along with the imprint it could
have on our society, he called it "Future Shock" this is also the title of his book. The mass of his
assumption came to light, on how this would affect the world. Countless miraculous
accomplishments were made possible from technological breakthroughs, although the negative
aftereffect on humankind and how we connect and communicate with one another is quite a
sacrifice, we are still in "Future Shock".
Future Shock is a term relevant to past and present culture, the idea that an overload of technology
causes a lack of traditional theme of life and that this causes unneeded stress and anxiety by
receiving too much information or change too fast. The term also includes a complete change of the
worlds moral compass. In the documentary Future Shock Dir. Alex Grasshoff (1.), based off the
book with the same title, it shows that youth lacks the desire to enjoy the outdoors, that people feel
overwhelmed by uncertainty, and tremendous change to the ability of the medical field, ... Show

My Future Essay
Every since I was a young girl I have been always asked by, what do you wanna be when you grow
up? I know some people that change their minds every week of what their future hold for them and
how they are gonna live through it. The future is changing every second of our lives, everything
single thing that we do affects what our future hold for us. All my life I have been determined on
one thing in my life. I have always wanted to become a doctor no matter what. I know that there is
nothing that is gonna change my mind about that. Technology has helped many people with what
they do at their job, however it has also harmed their jobs also. All my life I have been in and out of
hospitals. Every since I was born I had some problems that I had to face. Thanks to all the doctors
that were there for me, that helped me become the girl that stands today, I get to live my life in
peace. I had told myself from that day forward that I was gonna become a doctor or a nurse and help
as many people as I can. I have always loved to help people in need. I hope that one day that I can
save someone's life as someone saved mine.If I had to pick one role model that I looked up to ,I
couldn't. That is because I admire and idolize every single nurse and doctor there is in this world
that help keep people alive and safe every single day.
I want to do many things in my future. As well as being a doctor who helps people, I want to live
life and just be there. The future is

Virtual Opacity In the film Back to the Future 2, the character George McFly travels 30 years into
the future from the year 1985. The film depicts the year of 2015 with flying cars, gravity–defying
hover–boards, and real–life holograms. Of course, that is not the reality today. However, the reality
of our lives has changed significantly from 30 years ago just as it will be different 20 years from
now. This change is gained mainly by technology, which in turn has changed the way we relate to,
and communicate with one another. This includes the erosion of boundaries and the access to greater
amounts of background information about one another, even if we have never met them in person.
This erosion of real and virtual boundaries will change our societal consciousness on several levels.
In addition, the way people define themselves 20 years from now will be far different than the way
they define themselves today. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

was a kid, playing together meant actually physically being together and doing something physically
together. As a parent, I am constantly nagging my son to get off of his iPad and go and do
"something else". What I inevitably hear as a reply is: "Like what?" Just for a bit of background
information: my son has plenty of friends, loves sports, and enjoys being outside. That being said,
when he's hooked into a game, it's very difficult to get him to come back to reality. And when he's
playing certain games, like Clash Of Clans, he is playing remotely with a core group of friends
whom he regularly plays sports with. So, the boundary of playing together has now been

Back To The Future
The trilogy of Back to the futures show unique gadgets that are thought to be futuristic. This film
used flying cars, time machines, and hoverboards to symbolize a futuristic neighborhood. In the
movies the main characters use a time machine to jump to and from to past and future. They used
advanced transportation as well as advanced everyday equipment. Watching these movies made me
want to jump into the future and see what my neighborhood would look like. Sadly, I can only
imagine what it would be like. My neighborhood of the future would be majorly developed in the
technology field. Weather machines, advanced closets, and holograms would all be part of my
futuristic neighborhood. To begin with, weather machines would be included in my neighborhood of
the future. If one day you woke up and would rather it be sunny then you can ... Show more content

Holograms could be a new way to communicate. Similar to a video call, you could see the other
person on the screen but it would be a hologram that is shown, and it would do whatever the person
on the other end was doing. This would be a new and exciting way to get in touch with one another.
You can speak as if face to face, as well as interact with them. Holograms could also be beneficial to
my future neighborhood because they could be guides for the neighborhood. With all the new
technology within the community, people who have just moved to the neighborhood will need some
help adjusting. People would have to guide once then they could be recorded as holograms. They
could then be duplicated so that there are many readily available to give tours to new residents.
Also, holograms could be repeated. If you did not understand the first time, you can rewind said
hologram and watch it as many times as it is needed. This would help when taking notes in the local
school. It would also help people comprehend instructions. Holograms would play a major role in

Most science fiction texts contain possible futuristic technology! That's why a lot of people enjoy
reading science fiction stories or watching science fiction movies. Also people are curious about the
future and hoping that it will be better than the present. "Back to the Future" is a great example of a
science fiction movie. It tells about science and technology of the future, has true and false theories
of science, and includes a contemporary issue.
First of all, "Back to the Future" is about Marty, a boy who lives a lousy life because of his parents.
His mother is an alcoholic and his father is a nerdy scaredy cat. His two favorite people is his
girlfriend and the local scientist, Doc. One day Doc shows Marty the time machine he built. Marty
uses Doc's time machine to go back to 1955 to fix his parents problems. He has to face many
consequences before stopping his mom from smoking and drinking and his to to stop letting people
bully him. One of the problems is that Marty's young mom ends up falling in love with him. He then
pretends to harass her so George, his dad could save her and she would fall in love with him. Biff,
George's bully ends up beating up Marty, trying to save Larraine. George then beats up Biff trying to
save Marty which causes Larraine to fall in love with him.He then comes back to his present time to

Future Self Assessment
At the start of my studies here at Southern New Hampshire University I found myself frightened by
the future. I feared the unknown and I questioned my ability to succeed and have a successful life.
However, as I continued my studies and learned progressively about myself, my current abilities,
my organization, and the various aspects of organizational behavior. Due to this I realize how
essential I am to myself, my family, and my organization. The decisions I made in the past, present,
and near future will merely pave the way as I improve myself financially, physically, and
emotionally. I will utilize the SWOT and PEST analysis as a business and personal resource. After
completing this course I have determined that I must constantly endeavor if I wish to have a
successful future.
After careful consideration, I have chosen to simply self–improve myself financially, emotionally,
and physically. By improving these three aspects of myself I will be a more confident transactional

The Current Future Of Human Resource
There are three distinctive articles that discussed the future of Human Resource. Kwan the author of
The Cornell HR review suggests: As companies continue to flourish in a global setting, the essence
of work and managerial relationships will grow increasingly convoluted. Proposals will span across
conventional functional and geographical divisions, magnifying the need for greater grasp of
sharing and fraternization. With a higher premium placed on attaining pliability and suppleness,
corporations that rely on strong intramural networks have been more prosperous at coordinating
effectiveness and metamorphosis. From a talent management aspect, organizations will need to

The most commonly used planning period of six months to one year focuses on short–range the
immediate HR needs of an organization. Intermediate and long term forecasting are much more
difficult processes. Intermediate–range tactic proposal usually projects one to three years into the
future, and long–range plans continues beyond three years (p.50).
According to an article titled The HR Department of 2020: 6 Big Predictions( Osterhaus, 2013):
Prediction 1: In–house HR will downsize and outsourcing will increase.
Industry examiner Brian Sommer, the founder of TechVentive, profess an alter to miniature HR
departments will be generated by new technologies and heightened employee contribution in HR
processes. As he claims, "Many businesses are going to get a lot of capability done by better
technology, more self–service and the employee doing a lot on their own. ( Osterhaus, 2013)." For
example, employees will increasingly offer their own intelligence into self–service systems.
Prediction 2: Strategic thinking will become in–house HR's new core competence.
More recently, an Economist Intelligence Unit report emphasized the need for C–suite
administration to partner with HR to steer growth. In consolation of that, over half the specialists
that he interviewed indicated that HR needs to enlarge its strategic advantage to the business–or
else. Dr. Presser says, "This includes the ability to make accurate projections based on

Legacy : My Future Legacy
Legacy, how we will be remembered or not, how we will be seen for future generations it is a
burning ember in each of us to create a change that we could have only dreamed. My favorite quote
of all time comes from the Macklemore song entitled Glorious, "I heard you die twice, once when
they bury you in the grave, and the second time is the last time somebody mentions your name".
This quote directly labels legacy and the impact of each of us on others in our generation and
generations to come. One thing is certain in all of our lives, and that is that we will all die. During
our life, we have the opportunity to create a legacy that will keep us 'alive'. I want to create a legacy
that leaves hope and confidence for younger generations. I want to create a legacy that impacts not
just my family and friends but others who I may not have ever met. I want to create a legacy that
defines me and shows that everyone has a story beneath their smile, their skin and what they may or
may not say. It is important to me that my future legacy begins now with strong steady roots in the
ground. Technology at this day and age is at a steady climb to the summit and with that comes social
media. Where your actions and typed up monologues can be kept and never able to be deleted. The
future generations will experience a similar technological life to the millennials of today. With all

My Future Goals
The future is a time or a period of time in which we follow through from the moment of speaking or
writing our intentions. It is a time that has yet still to come. The future is what we work for, to go
through school and have a career, in order to have a better life. My parents have taught me to work
hard for the things I want, and I wish to have a bright future. That is one of the reasons why I am
here at CI, to get an education that will help me find a career with sufficient salary that will support
me and my future family.
My future dream job is to be the CEO of a company. I know that it will take a while to get there, so I
am plan on studying business administration first, then, work my way up to the position that I want.
In the future, I also want to be settled in a nice home where I can raise my future children, and
living in Seattle, Washington. One goal that I wish to accomplish when I get older, is to buy my
parents a house to give back for the sacrifices they have made for me, and for teaching me how to
deal with the difficulties of life. The quality of life I want in the future will be a good one. I will
achieve my goals and surround myself with people that will bring me happiness.
Getting to where I am today, was not easy. I had to overcome some obstacles that taught me some
life lessons. One of the factors that has contributed to my life choices is my mother. I have a close
relationship with my mom. Whenever I have something that is bothering me, I like to

Back To The Future: Movie Analysis
Anyone's future can change in a split second. "Back to the Future" is a trilogy directed and written
by Robert Zemeckis. The movie is about a teen experiencing different time zones with an older
scientist that is a close friend to him. Throughout the movie Marty McFly, the main character,
matures and learns life lessons from going through major events. Marty goes through many
situations, that not every average teen would go through which helps him create a positive future for
himself. A major theme in the "Back to the Future" series is that a person's future is not set in stone,
this theme is portrayed in the movie, when every time they travel through time a lot changes, Marty
maturing throughout the movie changed his future, and when Doc is supposed to fall in love and
face death. In all the "Back to the Future" movies, Doc and Marty always end up accidentally
changing something when they travel back in time. The theme is portrayed when Marty travels back
to 1955 and helps his dad stick up to Biff, it caused his dad and his entire family to be more
successful. Just one small change, can cause have a huge impact on one's future (BTTF 1). If one's
future was set in stone, then when George stuck up to Biff he would've still been a loser, but that just
wouldn't make logical sense. For example, when Doc and Marty travel to 2015, the future Biff takes

Analyzing The Movie 'Back To The Future'
Back to the Future (1985): This movie is one of my all–time favorites. Time travel is always a good
idea for a movie plot and makes things interesting, but for this movie they keep it intense and
comical. It will give a good laugh, but also keep you at the edge of your seat during the intense
parts. This movie is also very nostalgic for people who were in school during the 80's. This movie
lets the audience go back into the 50's and see how life was like. A great plot line throughout the
trilogy with Marty McFly running around with the crazy doc. My favorite comical duo from the
80's. One of my most favorite episodes of the trilogy is when Marty and Doc are working against
time to get Marty back to the future. Doc is trying to fix the cable that came undone on top of the
clock tower and Marty has only a few minutes till the lighting bolt strikes the tower. Once Doc
plugs the cord in on top of the tower he has to some how get to the bottom of the tower and plug ...

It deals with the very prominent issue of poverty in America, and specifically during the Great
Depression. The movie is a giant metaphor for the entire population and the suffering they endured.
Everywhere the family went there was starvation and no one with jobs and how the companies were
trying to screw them. One scene that held the most power to me is when they finally get a job
picking apples and have a place to stay, but they only get paid for how many buckets they fill which
is very little. What tops it off is that there is a monoply the apple farm has because they own the
only grocery store in town and everyone has to shop there if they like it or not. What ends up
happening to the store is that the prices of the food is way over the top and they can get away with
this because no one can leave the place. The movie opens the eyes of the viewer to poverty. A very
powerful movie with no

Back To The Future Theme
"Back to the future Part 2" is directed by Robert Zemeckis and was released in November 1989.
Storyline of the movie is that Doc Brown takes Marty McFly to 2015 to stop Marty's future son
from making a horrible mistake that will ruin Marty's future family. However, when Biff steals the
DeLorean to send a sports almanac back to his past self, Marty and Doc must return to 1955 to keep
an alternate version of 1985 from forming. Major themes that movie describes is destiny. Back to
the Future II is a film that is set in the future and identify some of the ways the film–makers have

The close camera shots during hover board scenes show the viewed the viewer the intensity of the
action and the brilliance of the contraptions at work. The camera angles during specific scenes show
off the futuristic aspects further such as the flying cars landing, which is very appealing to the
audience. Exposition is a technique in which background information is conveyed through dialogue,
narrative or flashbacks. In the Back to the Future trilogy, the characters, in effect, tell numerous
stories as part of the dialogue. By listening carefully, Marty learns information about the past that
will help him later when he actually goes into the past in a time machine. Thanks to time travel,
much of the exposition of past events can also be viewed as foreshadowing of events in Marty's
future. The realistic sounds of the hover board and flying cars show us that this is a film set in the
future. These sounds of wind or electric powered board show the advancement of the future
technology which is not available in the current year setting in the film. Evidence such as this
supports the theme of this film of future

The future of America, that's what all the people are asking. Well I think we will be focusing on
military more, because we are a super power and we "need" to have that status in the world. We
have done this for a long time. Also we are the land of the free and we try to make the world the
same as well. America that we see today will not be here in 2040 or 2050, but it will be better in the
future because we will have better stuff like medicine, technology, and probably style too. We don't

History and Its Effects on the Future
History and Its Effects on The Future
According to definition, History is a narrative of events in the order in which they happened with
their causes and effects, a record of past events. Throughout history many events have further
evolved the human race, providing different ideas, policies, political laws and ways, and even
scientific advances that further pushed the boundaries of human life to where they are today. The
future is very much affected by the past and this is clearly present throughout the later Middle Ages
all the way to the 18th century. The achievements of this time period in religion, exploration,

This was a very important time for religion and religious differences. When mentioning the
Reformation, an invention that changed history as it was known came about, the Printing Press.
Until the mid–fifteenth century, the only way in the West to reproduce any kind of text was to copy
it laboriously by hand. This introduced errors or "improved" the original text as the writer saw fit,
thus two different copies of the same text could read differently. Two fifteenth–century inventions
revolutionized the availability of books. First, movable metal type was introduced around 1450, and
after that time printed books first began to appear. Equally important, cheap manufactured paper
replaced expensive sheepskin. The introduction and spread of printing throughout Europe made it
much easier for peace to share their thoughts and discoveries with others. The Printing press
revolutionized books and text in history because it added a more accurate way for writers, scientists,
and just about anyone who writes to preserve their work in a much more accurate form and add the
ability to present their works to a broader audience. As you can see the printing press was the start
of something that is still used in today's society, as shown by the ability to make copies and vast
publishing. In the late 1500s and through most of the 1600s a time called "The Scientific

The Future Of Robotics : The Future Of Robots
The Future of Robots:
Robots are growing more and more to become like one of us. You may not realize it but
average Americans already cannot live without technology. If we don't have our refrigerators
most of us can't hunt our food, we can't socialize the same as we could ten years ago, and
we've just gotten more lazy and uninspired by the amount of time we spend using are devices.
Technology is getting more advanced every day. It does what ever we make it do. What will
stop humans from creating robots that can have anger and aggression? We don't know but we
can expect it, and prevent it before it is to late. Humans need to see what the possibilities are in
the future and try to avoid our world being slowly dominated by artificial intelligence by putting
more attention on the real world rather than what the media displays for us and understanding
what would happen if we program our electronics to feel emotion. On TV today, there are movies
and shows about robot takeover. No one takes these
science fiction movies as reality because it isn't are time period today. We never look in to how
much truth or evidence is backed up in these films because we always just brush it off as just a

The Future is Now Today, college students across the nation live for the future. They dream of
future gadgets and gizmos and medicine that can solve all of our problems. I am happy to say we
live in the future, today. With the increase of modern technology, college students have had access
to very effective prescription drugs. One hot topic of discussion involves the excessive use of
Adderall. Described as an amphetamine mix, Adderall is prescribed to treat attention deficit disorder
and has proven to restore the balance of neuro transmitters, fight tiredness, and provide mild
euphoria. Recently, the drug has been popular among college students for off–label use, enabling

In a 2009 study performed by members of the Department of Psychology at the University of
Albany, it was recorded that the past–year prevalence rates of stimulant prescription misuse for
individual colleges within the United States ranged up to 25% (Looby). This is a remarkable statistic
because up to a quarter of a school's population is a large representation of students. These
individuals find it appropriate to improve brain functionality through the use of Adderall. This is
ironic because these students are choosing to illegally obtain Adderall in order to better their school
lives. If this many individuals are using non–prescription Adderall to enhance their ability to
perform, then the legalization of over the counter use should be considered because students feel
obligated to take the drug in order succeed inside the classroom. Based on our culture as
hardworking Americans, students should be commended for their desire to have an edge over their
competition. It seems ludicrous to penalize students who want to be more academically driven and
do so by not hurting anyone. In schools located in the northeastern region of the United States, the

Saving And Planning For The Future
Saving and planning for the future is an important task that every individual should plan for.
However, many times individuals feel overwhelmed and are anxious about how it is possible to
survive and plan for the future. The Bible gives us good insight into how we should plan and
manage our finances that pleases the Lord. 2 Corinthians 9:6 states "[w]hoever sows sparingly will
also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously" (ESV). It is possible to
save for the future while at the same time pleasing the Lord. For those who love the Lord and live
by his directions knows that God is a God of plans. Jeremiah tells us "For I know the plans that I
have for you, ' declares the Lord, 'plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and
hope" (Jeremiah 29:11, NASV). Concerning long–term finance, there is one story, in particular, the
story of Joseph the King of Dreams. In this story, God gave two prisoners a dream and gave Joseph
the ability to interpret them. That revelation of the dreams came to pass and in time, Pharaoh had a
dream. The news came to him of Joseph's ability to interpret the dream, and he sent for Joseph. The
dream was that there would be seven years of good and plenty, followed by seven years of famine
and destitution. Upon this revelation, Pharaoh made Joseph ruler over the house and land. God gave
Joseph a contingency plan. First, let us talk about what a contingency is. Contingency is any

Do we have a responsibility to future generations? I believe we do, that we have a responsibility to
ensure the best possible future for the future generations of not only out direct descendants but the
future generations of the human species. What that responsibility entails and why it exists is the
purpose of this paper, to define the reasons why there is a responsibility, what they are, and how
many people are we responsible for.
The Native American concept of generations shown through the River of life book regards the
importance of seven generation. This concept focuses on the wellbeing of the next seven
generations, focusing on the preservation of culture and environment rather than short term and
immediate gains. The Native Americans rely on culture, tradition and their history in order to make
decisions, seeking to preserve the way of life and adjust more carefully. These ideas are also
associated with being in tune with nature, which changes slowly and focuses on balance. The idea of
life being interconnected is shown through the medicine wheel as described
"The Medicine Wheel is a powerful metaphor for the totality of life. All aspects of creation and
consciousness, inclusive of the mineral, plant, animal, human and spirit realms are contained within
the center and four directions of the Medicine Wheel. They overlap and interweave to form the
whole. It is in the center of the Medicine Wheel that we find the void, black hole, sacred zero, the
chaos at the course

Back To The Future Analysis
Science Fiction and the future are often interpreted in various different ways in both film and text.
However the way in which both Hover Car Racer, written by Matthew Reily and Back to the Future
Part II, directed by Robert Zemeckis, show interpretations of the future intertwined with a reality
similar to the one we know today. Both Zemeckis and Reily interpret the future in a different
manner, yet the predicted future shares many similarities including the use of Hover Technology as
a transportation method. Reily depicts the future and Hover Technology being used as more then
transportation, with uses such as sporting events. Antagonists cause issues for the central characters
in both Zemeckis and Reily's texts and the eventual successes ... Show more content on

tactics, the unrevealed group of antagonists try to affect Jason's racing career through the supply of
defective parts for his Hover Car and sabotaging his vehicle to cause maximum damage. Biff
Tannen and his family are the main antagonists in Zemeckis' Back to the Future Part II, causing a
vast amount of grief for the protagonists, Doctor Emmett Brown and Marty McFly Jr. After
travelling to the year 2015, Marty buys a sports almanac for his personal use in 1985 and after being
lectured by Doctor Brown: I didn't invent the time machine to win at gambling. I invented the time
machine to travel through time! He then disposes of the book. However the book and the DeLorean

Examples Of The Future In Fahrenheit 451
Ray Bradbury predicted the future in Fahrenheit 451. The novel is based on a futuristic society
where fireman burn books instead of reading them. Most of the technology Bradbury mentioned
became true in the 21st century. Fahrenheit 451 is a novel that predicted and presented the future
negatively by its views on the parlor walls, seashell radio, lifestyle, and the mechanical hound.
Entertainment has taken over everyones lives with televisions and earbuds. Bradbury discussed and
even predicted the future by his examples of Mildred through the parlor shows, seashells, and
thimble radios. Mildred is addicted to her television shows. She is addicted to the point she calls
them, "my family" (Bradbury 46) and wants "to save up and get the fourth wall torn out and a fourth
wall–TV put in". (Bradbury 18) Her addiction to her television represents how majority of the
modern–day citizens watch television, and Netflix shows all day. Mildred falls asleep every night to
the "little Seashells, the thimble radios...electronic ocean of sound, of music and talk...coming in on
the shore of her unsleeping mind". (Bradbury 10) She listens to them so much "there had been no
night in the last two years that Mildred had not swum that sea". (Bradbury 10) That is an ... Show

Bradbury includes surveillance as an important part of the society though the mechanical hound.
The mechanical hound was a negative tool of technology used by the government to kill people who
went against them. As Guy is talking with his wife Mildred, "a slow, probing sniff, an exhalation of
electric steam" (Bradbury 68) is heard through the door. It was the mechanical hound being used to
surveil Guy. Just like in the 21st century, people are being surveilled by law enforcement, spies, and
cameras and it has taken over the society and shaped the rights of privacy. Many of the ideas
Bradbury included in the novel became true in the modern

The Arrival Of The Future
The Arrival of the Future
Is the beginning the end? This is how Denis Villeneuve, director of Arrival, decided to begin the
Oscar nominated film. With nonlinear timeline at the focus of the film, this controversial style
illustrates violence between characters, specifically Louise, shows the tool given to humanity by the
Heptapods, and the relationship of the characters.
Erik Bork, an Emmy and Golden Globe winning author for HBO, states that "Jumping around in
time with flashbacks can be confusing in a script, and can make it hard for a reader to get oriented
and settle into one particular story, in a specific time frame" (Bork, par. 1). He continues to explain,
"It's usually better to just have one, at most, and have the rest of the movie take place in what seems
like continuous present time" (Bork, par. 9). Many critics would agree with Bork, siding with his
belief in the confusing nature of flashbacks.
However, Arrival's use of a nonlinear timeline is vital to the story of the film. the Heptapods give
Louise the ability to see time in a nonlinear fashion. There is no other way the writers of Arrival
could have conveyed her newfound ability. Her ability to perceive future events is evident while
Louise is talking to the Prime Minister of China, a militant character, by saying to him in the present
what she sees herself being reminded of in her flashforward at a peace gathering. This climatic
moment is relieved by Louise's ability. This scene is difficult to show in word,

My Dream Future
"I like the dreams of the future, better than the history of the past" Thomas Jefferson quoted. This
relates to my life in many ways. My dreams of the future help me to keep my eye on the prize and to
never give up while working towards my dreams. My past is history, as Thomas Jefferson said, but
as I have learned, I can choose to learn from my past and move on, or can let it be my present or
future again. Even though I would like to go back and change my past, I know that my hardship
have made me determined, passionate and caring. In the past I was taught by nature to be
determined. One day I had to be determined to find my next meal, while other days I needed to be
strong–willed so that I had clothes on my back. This was because my birth mother was a drug addict
and an alcoholic. Even though I was only two years old, I had to cook, and take care of myself and
my brother. I was determined to live and carry on to my greatest ability. Never in my life would I
have though that I could come this far. I have had many set backs, which made me feel like life was
not worth a thing. I was an extremely angry person and life was hard for me. I remember as a kid I
would be very violent and mean towards the ones I loved and even myself. It never occurred to me
that I just wanted someone to love and support me through tough times. Besides my past being hard,
I felt that I would never be like my birth parents. I wanted to be more like my adopted parents

Roman Empire Future
What will the world be in a hundred years? That is a question that runs through everyone's head at
some point in their lives. Most people are always interested in what the future holds and some make
many different theories about it. All of us already know how in the future we will be technologically
advanced with computers and cars but we don't know how the world will work. Will the world come
to full stop and fail, adapt and progress or if it will go back to the roots of our ancestors to run
properly. Some ask "Will the global hegemonic dominion of the USA fade away like the Roman
Empire? Or is the US just now fully developing into an American Empire? Will the world
deteriorate into a kind of international neo–feudalism? Or are we on the brink of a Second
Renaissance." The theory that the USA's global hegemonic dominion will fade away like the Roman
Empire is quiet interesting. It is true that both the U.S and Romans are the strongest force of their

When people predict the next one hundred it is not 100 percent that it will all come true but there is
a slight chance that will. When people predict if the U.S will fall like the Roman Empire, they
should know that will never happen. The U.S is the strongest force in the world both economically
and military. Also America's policy for zero corruption and freedom of religion keeps the people
together unlike the Romans. Another thing that America will become in the future is an empire, by
becoming the world's best economy and gaining more territories. As for having neo–feudalism run
through the government is a 50–50 chance because it depends on how much power is given to the

Like any other person, Zaid lived his childhood day by day. He has never thought of the future
because that is how a kid is; they live life in the present and only the present. As time passed,
nothing changed; he reached his teenage years and still nothing new, just living every day and
waiting for tomorrow with no expectations or assumptions. In this period of age, all of his friends
had already set goals and planned their futures, each friend with a different dream. Yet that was not
for him, he was really satisfied with living for each day and never looking towards the future.
One day, just like any other regular day; he sat down with his father and they started talking. It is a
usual thing that he does a lot, so they talked about his day and how it went just as usual. One thing
that had changed at that time was that his father shifted the course of their conversation and started
to talk with a serious tone that Zaid never had heard from his father before, so he was shocked little
bit. His father sounded like he wanted to open zaid's eyes to something. He asked him, "Son, what
are your expectations for your life?". Zaid was not sure why he asked him that. Maybe because of
his brother that was constantly talking about how he wants to be a lawyer or his sister mentioning
that she wants to open her own company. Zaid was the only one who never opened a conversation

What Is The Future Of America's Future
In my opinion, the future of the United States of America will end up being a technology filled,
horrifying place. Most of the time, people of America will think that this country is getting better
and better each day, but this is very incorrect. To explain, studies show that ever since the 1960's,
the United States has become worse every year in categories such as the use of cell phones, obesity,
and conflicts between different groups. These categories are only some of the problems/issues that
this country is dealing with at the moment and the more we grow in years, the worse these issues
will get. Also, many people will agree and disagree with my statement, but most of the people who
disagree secretly know that this world is becoming a horrible place. Also, to clarify, I never meant to
say that this country is becoming corrupt in every category. This country is doing great in some
categories such as American education and the United States defense system. ... Show more content

Analyzing The Neighborhoods Of The Future
What do you think the future will be like and what do you see? Your ideas might match up with
other people; other people have wondered what will change, and how different it will be in the
future. Neighborhoods of the future will be new, safer, improved, and a better place for all of
humanity.
A lot of things in the future will be improved, such as: Agricultural buildings, like barns and chicken
coops; commercial buildings, like gas stations, banks, warehouses; residential buildings, like
apartments, nursing homes; etc. I happen to believe that prices will be cheaper in the future, helping
poor and middle–class people; as well as making everyone relieved and not worried about running
out of money. The direction of prices today are sky high; the average gas prices of today are $2.566.
If prices keep rising, then it might become harder to advertise and get people to buy things because
no one wants to buy something that's way overprised, and where will we be then? To fix this issue,
we'll decrease the prices in the future. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Once and Future King: Themes for the Future
After a good binge read or movie marathon, the audience will feel more prepared for the real world
or learn a new tidbit or two, all the while enjoying their experience. What the audience just learned
from that lasting experience, was a theme. There are many interesting themes in T.H White's novel,
The Once and Future King. However, there are three important themes that just stick out from the
rest. In the first theme, Queen Guenever finds that love is complicated, as a result of her own
complex love life. The second theme includes Arthur, also known as the Wart or King Arthur. He

First of all, the only action that Lancelot had wanted to accomplish as a kid was to bring miracles
into this world. One such miracle was when he went to King Pelles' castle and saved his daughter,
Elaine from the curse that kept her boiling in hot water for many years. He had left Arthur's castle
for his second quest, which was "the turning point of his life" (White 369). He had heard about King
Pelles and decided to go and see what all the fuss was about. When he arrived, he was greeted by
the people of the village, who told him about fair Elaine and her curse. He then went to rescue her,
albeit rather reluctantly, then went to the church to thank God. Lancelot was so preoccupied that "
[it] was half–way through the service before he realized that he had been allowed to do a miracle,
just as he had always wanted" (White 371). Lancelot had always wanted to perform miracles as a
child, and his wish had finally been granted. However, just a few days later, he 'lost' his ability to
make miracles because, in the words of Lancelot, "Only virgins can make miracles" (White 376).
The second time Lancelot had performed a miracle was when he healed Sir Urre's wounds, as they

Future Goals For College
There is a saying in society "if you are poor you will stay poor." The United States have said "You

My Future Essay
As the day of graduation creeps up on me, the future of college and life thereafter follows closely
like a lion cub learning to hunt. In high school, the talk is always, "What are you doing after high
school? Where do you want to go to college?" and all I can think of is what is for lunch! It's difficult
to plan ahead for the future when you want your future to be filled with opportunities that span
across the whole career spectrum. There are not enough years in a lifetime, days in a year, hours in a
day, or even minutes in an hour to achieve the titles I dream of. Choosing my future is anything but
simple when I envision myself taking so many different paths.
The first time I thought about my future was when I was quite young listening to my father's stories
of being an armorer in the Marine Corps. I wanted to be just like him and was ready to pursue that
idea of building things and being "That cool guy working on tanks!" Now that I am 17, I have taken
my future just a tad bit more seriously and have looked into becoming an Aeronautical Engineer. I
even scheduled an interview with a Head Engineer at Bell Helicopter. After some research, I learned
that Aeronautical Engineers require a bachelor's degree, as most engineers do, and get a median pay
of $107,830. (Winspur, study.com) People often say that the salary of a job shouldn't matter, but in
my opinion, that is quite an important factor. This was my future and I was content.

Foreshadowing In Back To The Future
In the 1985 movie Back to the Future, Robert Zemeckis uses foreshadowing, symbolism, diegetic
and non–diegetic sound, parallels, irony and morals, as explained through the textbook The Art of
Watching Films, to take the viewer on a journey through time. He reinforces the idea that every little
action counts. These concepts are intermixed with comedy as we witness the adventures of Marty
McFly (Michael J. Fox) and his best friend Doctor Emmet Brown (Christopher Lloyd) in 1985 and
1955. We meet Marty's parents (Crispin Glover, Lea Thompson) first as adults, then as teenagers,
and again as adults. Marty also grows to realize the consequences of his actions.
With a concept as difficult as time travel, without the overt use of captions, how can you convey that
you're in a different point in time? Zemeckis tackled this issue deftly through his use of dialogue,
props, and set design. In the opening period in 1985 he sets the tone of where you are and what
defines the 'present' or 'normal' so that when everything changes after Marty steps inside the
DeLorean, Zemeckis doesn't need to use a caption announcing the year 1955. The viewer is able to

Saving And Planning For The Future
Saving and planning for the future is an important task that every individual should plan for.
However, many times individuals feel overwhelmed, and anxious about how it is possible to survive
and plan for the future. The Bible gives us good insight into how we should plan and manage our
finances that pleases the Lord. 2 Corinthians 9:6 states "Whoever sows sparingly will also reap
sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously." It is possible to save for the
future while at the same time pleasing the Lord. For those who love the Lord and live by his
directions knows that God is a God of plans. Jeremiah tells us "For I know the plans that I have for

Dave Ramsey once said, "It's funny, when I began to listen to God and built an emergency fund, it
seems like I stopped having emergencies." To a degree, God will tell you his plans via dreams,
scriptures, messages or other people. He will warn you of trials and tribulations and he will also
provide you a way out; if only you will listen. The Bible can serve as an excellent source of wisdom
for how a Christian should save for the future. At the same time, the Bible calls us to give to further
God's kingdom on Earth. Sometimes, Christian's can find it hard to balance both, which can lead to
fear, and anxiety. The Bible calls us to trust the Lord, and acknowledge him always. Proverbs 3:5–6
states "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your
ways acknowledge him, and he will make your path straight" (ESV). God calls us to lean on Him
for strength, knowledge, and wisdom, but He also calls us not to be idle. The Bible references
providing for our household in 1 Timothy 5:8 "But if anyone does not provide for his relatives, and
especially for members of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever"
(ESV). As Christians, we should work hard to make sure that our family is taken care of, and
provided for. At the same time, the Bible also calls us to give with our time and our money. We are
to give of our time and talents to further the kingdom of God, and we are to do that

matters both known and unknown. Although upon original release, these texts remain a mere

My Future Essay
My future is something I often think about. Most often, the questions that arise include the common
doubts of "Am I doing this right?", or even the occasional midnight philosophical questions such as
"Why are we here?", and so on. For the purpose of this essay, I will focus on the factors that have
allowed me to reach this point in my life and how these factors influenced and continue to influence
me, in order to provide me with a visualization of my future.
Factors that contributed to my current life choices include the desperate want to be something
greater, as well as to experience the world in ways some could only dream of. I study hard, allowing
for me to have the possibility of an early graduation. I dream big, allowing me with the imagination
to draw up plans for myself and my future. I work hard, allowing me the strength and vision to
execute my plans for the future. The way that I was raised has greatly benefited me. My parents
have taught me that anything and everything is possible as long as you work hard for it despite the
what others may tell you or even if the odds are against you. Another factor that led to my current
life, is the amount of time I allow myself to think about my plans and refine them. This is extremely
important because, without a solid, flexible, long–term plan, you could get lost in dreaming about
the future, and end up not accomplishing anything. Hence, many aspects of my life have been

Llamas Of The Future Research Paper

  • 1. Llamas Of The Future Research Paper A wise person once said "Without history there would be no future". So this person is saying that you have to have a past to have a future. This paragraph is about llamas and where they came from. Llamas are a member of the camelid family. The relatives are the Camel, the Alpaca, the Guanaco, and the Vicuna (Clark, Donna.) All six of the kids lived to be adults ("George Washington Biography".) They moved a lot as kids, but most of the childhood was spent in Fredericksburg, Virginia. • 2. What Is Future Shock? Technology is utilized by people worldwide, on a daily basis, the capability of devices and the impact it inflicts on our lives is continual. Alvin Toffler author in the 70's, was aware of the implementation, of moving forward too quickly with technology along with the imprint it could have on our society, he called it "Future Shock" this is also the title of his book. The mass of his assumption came to light, on how this would affect the world. Countless miraculous accomplishments were made possible from technological breakthroughs, although the negative aftereffect on humankind and how we connect and communicate with one another is quite a sacrifice, we are still in "Future Shock". Future Shock is a term relevant to past and present culture, the idea that an overload of technology causes a lack of traditional theme of life and that this causes unneeded stress and anxiety by receiving too much information or change too fast. The term also includes a complete change of the worlds moral compass. In the documentary Future Shock Dir. Alex Grasshoff (1.), based off the book with the same title, it shows that youth lacks the desire to enjoy the outdoors, that people feel overwhelmed by uncertainty, and tremendous change to the ability of the medical field, ... • 3. My Future Essay Every since I was a young girl I have been always asked by, what do you wanna be when you grow up? I know some people that change their minds every week of what their future hold for them and how they are gonna live through it. The future is changing every second of our lives, everything single thing that we do affects what our future hold for us. All my life I have been determined on one thing in my life. I have always wanted to become a doctor no matter what. I know that there is nothing that is gonna change my mind about that. Technology has helped many people with what they do at their job, however it has also harmed their jobs also. All my life I have been in and out of hospitals. Every since I was born I had some problems that I had to face. Thanks to all the doctors that were there for me, that helped me become the girl that stands today, I get to live my life in peace. I had told myself from that day forward that I was gonna become a doctor or a nurse and help as many people as I can. I have always loved to help people in need. I hope that one day that I can save someone's life as someone saved mine.If I had to pick one role model that I looked up to ,I couldn't. That is because I admire and idolize every single nurse and doctor there is in this world that help keep people alive and safe every single day. I want to do many things in my future. • 4. Back To The Future Virtual Opacity In the film Back to the Future 2, the character George McFly travels 30 years into the future from the year 1985. The film depicts the year of 2015 with flying cars, gravity–defying hover–boards, and real–life holograms. Of course, that is not the reality today. However, the reality of our lives has changed significantly from 30 years ago just as it will be different 20 years from now. This change is gained mainly by technology, which in turn has changed the way we relate to, and communicate with one another. This includes the erosion of boundaries and the access to greater amounts of background information about one another, even if we have never met them in person. This erosion of real and virtual boundaries will change our societal consciousness on several levels. In addition, the way people define themselves 20 years from now will be far different than the way they define themselves today. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This screen time takes away from real–life experiences and places us in the "Virtual World". When I was a kid, playing together meant actually physically being together and doing something physically together. As a parent, I am constantly nagging my son to get off of his iPad and go and do "something else". What I inevitably hear as a reply is: "Like what?" Just for a bit of background information: my son has plenty of friends, loves sports, and enjoys being outside. That being said, when he's hooked into a game, it's very difficult to get him to come back to reality. And when he's playing certain games, like Clash Of Clans, he is playing remotely with a core group of friends whom he regularly plays sports with. So, the boundary of playing together has now been ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

This film used flying cars, time machines, and hoverboards to symbolize a futuristic neighborhood. In the movies the main characters use a time machine to jump to and from to past and future. They used advanced transportation as well as advanced everyday equipment. Watching these movies made me want to jump into the future and see what my neighborhood would look like. Sadly, I can only imagine what it would be like. My neighborhood of the future would be majorly developed in the technology field. Weather machines, advanced closets, and holograms would all be part of my futuristic neighborhood. To begin with, weather machines would be included in my neighborhood of the future. Similar to a video call, you could see the other person on the screen but it would be a hologram that is shown, and it would do whatever the person on the other end was doing. This would be a new and exciting way to get in touch with one another. You can speak as if face to face, as well as interact with them. Holograms could also be beneficial to my future neighborhood because they could be guides for the neighborhood. With all the new technology within the community, people who have just moved to the neighborhood will need some help adjusting. People would have to guide once then they could be recorded as holograms. They could then be duplicated so that there are many readily available to give tours to new residents. Also, holograms could be repeated. If you did not understand the first time, you can rewind said hologram and watch it as many times as it is needed. This would help when taking notes in the local school. It would also help people comprehend instructions. Holograms would play a major role in the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

According to an article titled The HR Department of 2020: 6 Big Predictions( Osterhaus, 2013): Prediction 1: In–house HR will downsize and outsourcing will increase. Industry examiner Brian Sommer, the founder of TechVentive, profess an alter to miniature HR departments will be generated by new technologies and heightened employee contribution in HR processes. As he claims, "Many businesses are going to get a lot of capability done by better technology, more self–service and the employee doing a lot on their own. ( Osterhaus, 2013)." For example, employees will increasingly offer their own intelligence into self–service systems. Prediction 2: Strategic thinking will become in–house HR's new core competence. More recently, an Economist Intelligence Unit report emphasized the need for C–suite administration to partner with HR to steer growth. In consolation of that, over half the specialists that he interviewed indicated that HR needs to enlarge its strategic advantage to the business–or else. Legacy : My Future Legacy Legacy, how we will be remembered or not, how we will be seen for future generations it is a burning ember in each of us to create a change that we could have only dreamed. My favorite quote of all time comes from the Macklemore song entitled Glorious, "I heard you die twice, once when they bury you in the grave, and the second time is the last time somebody mentions your name". This quote directly labels legacy and the impact of each of us on others in our generation and generations to come. One thing is certain in all of our lives, and that is that we will all die. During our life, we have the opportunity to create a legacy that will keep us 'alive'. I want to create a legacy that leaves hope and confidence for younger generations. I want to create a legacy that impacts not just my family and friends but others who I may not have ever met. I want to create a legacy that defines me and shows that everyone has a story beneath their smile, their skin and what they may or may not say. It is important to me that my future legacy begins now with strong steady roots in the ground. Technology at this day and age is at a steady climb to the summit and with that comes social media. My parents have taught me to work hard for the things I want, and I wish to have a bright future. That is one of the reasons why I am here at CI, to get an education that will help me find a career with sufficient salary that will support me and my future family. My future dream job is to be the CEO of a company. I know that it will take a while to get there, so I am plan on studying business administration first, then, work my way up to the position that I want. In the future, I also want to be settled in a nice home where I can raise my future children, and living in Seattle, Washington. One goal that I wish to accomplish when I get older, is to buy my parents a house to give back for the sacrifices they have made for me, and for teaching me how to deal with the difficulties of life. The quality of life I want in the future will be a good one. I will achieve my goals and surround myself with people that will bring me happiness. Getting to where I am today, was not easy. • 11. Back To The Future: Movie Analysis Anyone's future can change in a split second. "Back to the Future" is a trilogy directed and written by Robert Zemeckis. The movie is about a teen experiencing different time zones with an older scientist that is a close friend to him. Throughout the movie Marty McFly, the main character, matures and learns life lessons from going through major events. Marty goes through many situations, that not every average teen would go through which helps him create a positive future for himself. A major theme in the "Back to the Future" series is that a person's future is not set in stone, this theme is portrayed in the movie, when every time they travel through time a lot changes, Marty maturing throughout the movie changed his future, and when Doc is supposed to fall in love and face death. In all the "Back to the Future" movies, Doc and Marty always end up accidentally changing something when they travel back in time. The theme is portrayed when Marty travels back to 1955 and helps his dad stick up to Biff, it caused his dad and his entire family to be more successful. Just one small change, can cause have a huge impact on one's future (BTTF 1). If one's future was set in stone, then when George stuck up to Biff he would've still been a loser, but that just wouldn't make logical sense. • 12. Analyzing The Movie 'Back To The Future' Back to the Future (1985): This movie is one of my all–time favorites. Time travel is always a good idea for a movie plot and makes things interesting, but for this movie they keep it intense and comical. It will give a good laugh, but also keep you at the edge of your seat during the intense parts. This movie is also very nostalgic for people who were in school during the 80's. This movie lets the audience go back into the 50's and see how life was like. A great plot line throughout the trilogy with Marty McFly running around with the crazy doc. My favorite comical duo from the 80's. One of my most favorite episodes of the trilogy is when Marty and Doc are working against time to get Marty back to the future. When mentioning the Reformation, an invention that changed history as it was known came about, the Printing Press. Until the mid–fifteenth century, the only way in the West to reproduce any kind of text was to copy it laboriously by hand. This introduced errors or "improved" the original text as the writer saw fit, thus two different copies of the same text could read differently. Two fifteenth–century inventions revolutionized the availability of books. First, movable metal type was introduced around 1450, and after that time printed books first began to appear. Equally important, cheap manufactured paper replaced expensive sheepskin. The introduction and spread of printing throughout Europe made it much easier for peace to share their thoughts and discoveries with others. The Printing press revolutionized books and text in history because it added a more accurate way for writers, scientists, and just about anyone who writes to preserve their work in a much more accurate form and add the ability to present their works to a broader audience. With nonlinear timeline at the focus of the film, this controversial style illustrates violence between characters, specifically Louise, shows the tool given to humanity by the Heptapods, and the relationship of the characters. Erik Bork, an Emmy and Golden Globe winning author for HBO, states that "Jumping around in time with flashbacks can be confusing in a script, and can make it hard for a reader to get oriented and settle into one particular story, in a specific time frame" (Bork, par. 1). He continues to explain, "It's usually better to just have one, at most, and have the rest of the movie take place in what seems like continuous present time" (Bork, par. 9). Many critics would agree with Bork, siding with his belief in the confusing nature of flashbacks. However, Arrival's use of a nonlinear timeline is vital to the story of the film. the Heptapods give Louise the ability to see time in a nonlinear fashion. There is no other way the writers of Arrival could have conveyed her newfound ability. Her ability to perceive future events is evident while Louise is talking to the Prime Minister of China, a militant character, by saying to him in the present what she sees herself being reminded of in her flashforward at a peace gathering. If prices keep rising, then it might become harder to advertise and get people to buy things because no one wants to buy something that's way overprised, and where will we be then? To fix this issue, we'll decrease the prices in the future. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 30. Once And Future King Themes The Once and Future King: Themes for the Future After a good binge read or movie marathon, the audience will feel more prepared for the real world or learn a new tidbit or two, all the while enjoying their experience. What the audience just learned from that lasting experience, was a theme. There are many interesting themes in T.H White's novel, The Once and Future King. However, there are three important themes that just stick out from the rest. In the first theme, Queen Guenever finds that love is complicated, as a result of her own complex love life. The second theme includes Arthur, also known as the Wart or King Arthur. He discovers that even though he can do many actions without any consideration as to if it is just or unjust, it does ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... First of all, the only action that Lancelot had wanted to accomplish as a kid was to bring miracles into this world. One such miracle was when he went to King Pelles' castle and saved his daughter, Elaine from the curse that kept her boiling in hot water for many years. He had left Arthur's castle for his second quest, which was "the turning point of his life" (White 369). He had heard about King Pelles and decided to go and see what all the fuss was about. When he arrived, he was greeted by the people of the village, who told him about fair Elaine and her curse. He then went to rescue her, albeit rather reluctantly, then went to the church to thank God. Lancelot was so preoccupied that " [it] was half–way through the service before he realized that he had been allowed to do a miracle, just as he had always wanted" (White 371). Lancelot had always wanted to perform miracles as a child, and his wish had finally been granted. However, just a few days later, he 'lost' his ability to make miracles because, in the words of Lancelot, "Only virgins can make miracles" (White 376). The second time Lancelot had performed a miracle was when he healed Sir Urre's wounds, as they were enchanted by the mother of a man whom he had killed. As stated in the book, "All the time [his wounds] were to go on bleeding, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 31. Future Goals For College There is a saying in society "if you are poor you will stay poor." The United States have said "You have the freedom of changing your classification in your social status." People close to me have said "as long as it's something you want, anything is possible." With the given information, the choice I've made was to change my written destiny and make my mark on earth. The path I am willing to take isn't to benefit my life, but to give back the people who gave me everything I could ever ask for. For these purposes, future goals are based off of who I am as a person and how I want to be portrayed. Making a change, one person at a time, is a goal that I set out for myself as an individual. Also wanting to express gratitude to those who gave me so much. Those who are every influential person who has helped me with my decisions and problems. I also want to obtain the chance of changing and making the life of my mother easier. My mother is a single parent with four children, me including. My entire sisters are younger than 10 years old which puts me in the position of being their older sister and role model to them. My parents got divorce in 2010 which made me about 11 years old. • 32. Back To The Future "Great Scott!" Back to the Future is an inventive time capsule for the ages Inventive, light–hearted, and unforgettable are just a few words to describe this timeless film. The direction of Robert Zemeckis makes the film a lucid, whimsical feature that is perfect for all ages. The movie continuously presents the reality of parents being teenagers, with each trying to understand one another. From the humorous script to the fantastic chemistry between Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd, the film excels greatly in its ambition to take on the many paradoxes of time travel. Its energetic and creative features, such as the invention of the time machine, are what make this movie an original. By creating a time machine, Dr. Brown transforms his De Lorean into a striking machine that can travel through time. "The way I see it, if you're gonna build a time machine into a car, why not do it with some style?" exclaims Dr. Brown. All this is done with the "Flux Capacitor," which is the secret to time travel. Without this device the machine is useless. In the story, Marty is forced is to go back in time to escape Libyan nationalists who are sent to assassinate Dr. Brown. He speeds off in the De Lorean, and, through a series of events, finds himself in the year 1955. The film presents an abundance of memorable set–pieces. For example, when he walks downtown the goofy townsfolk question his 1985 clothing, asking why he is wearing a life–preserver. Marty even contributes to the premature invention of the skateboard by ripping off the top of a young kid's box–cart. He also introduces the creation of rock 'n' roll through his energetic and engaging guitar solo. • 33. My Future Essay As the day of graduation creeps up on me, the future of college and life thereafter follows closely like a lion cub learning to hunt. In high school, the talk is always, "What are you doing after high school? Where do you want to go to college?" and all I can think of is what is for lunch! It's difficult to plan ahead for the future when you want your future to be filled with opportunities that span across the whole career spectrum. There are not enough years in a lifetime, days in a year, hours in a day, or even minutes in an hour to achieve the titles I dream of. Choosing my future is anything but simple when I envision myself taking so many different paths. The first time I thought about my future was when I was quite young listening to my father's stories of being an armorer in the Marine Corps. I wanted to be just like him and was ready to pursue that idea of building things and being "That cool guy working on tanks!" Now that I am 17, I have taken my future just a tad bit more seriously and have looked into becoming an Aeronautical Engineer. I even scheduled an interview with a Head Engineer at Bell Helicopter. After some research, I learned that Aeronautical Engineers require a bachelor's degree, as most engineers do, and get a median pay of $107,830. (Winspur, study.com) People often say that the salary of a job shouldn't matter, but in my opinion, that is quite an important factor. This was my future and I was content. • 34. Foreshadowing In Back To The Future In the 1985 movie Back to the Future, Robert Zemeckis uses foreshadowing, symbolism, diegetic and non–diegetic sound, parallels, irony and morals, as explained through the textbook The Art of Watching Films, to take the viewer on a journey through time. He reinforces the idea that every little action counts. These concepts are intermixed with comedy as we witness the adventures of Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) and his best friend Doctor Emmet Brown (Christopher Lloyd) in 1985 and 1955. We meet Marty's parents (Crispin Glover, Lea Thompson) first as adults, then as teenagers, and again as adults. Marty also grows to realize the consequences of his actions. With a concept as difficult as time travel, without the overt use of captions, how can you convey that you're in a different point in time? Zemeckis tackled this issue deftly through his use of dialogue, props, and set design. In the opening period in 1985 he sets the tone of where you are and what defines the 'present' or 'normal' so that when everything changes after Marty steps inside the DeLorean, Zemeckis doesn't need to use a caption announcing the year 1955. • 35. Saving And Planning For The Future Saving and planning for the future is an important task that every individual should plan for. However, many times individuals feel overwhelmed, and anxious about how it is possible to survive and plan for the future. The Bible gives us good insight into how we should plan and manage our finances that pleases the Lord. 2 Corinthians 9:6 states "Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously." It is possible to save for the future while at the same time pleasing the Lord. For those who love the Lord and live by his directions knows that God is a God of plans. Dave Ramsey once said, "It's funny, when I began to listen to God and built an emergency fund, it seems like I stopped having emergencies." To a degree, God will tell you his plans via dreams, scriptures, messages or other people. He will warn you of trials and tribulations and he will also provide you a way out; if only you will listen. The Bible can serve as an excellent source of wisdom for how a Christian should save for the future. At the same time, the Bible calls us to give to further God's kingdom on Earth. Sometimes, Christian's can find it hard to balance both, which can lead to fear, and anxiety. The Bible calls us to trust the Lord, and acknowledge him always. Proverbs 3:5–6 states "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your path straight" (ESV). God calls us to lean on Him for strength, knowledge, and wisdom, but He also calls us not to be idle. The Bible references providing for our household in 1 Timothy 5:8 "But if anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for members of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever" (ESV). As Christians, we should work hard to make sure that our family is taken care of, and provided for. At the same time, the Bible also calls us to give with our time and our money. • 36. Hitchhiker's Guide To The Future World renowned science fiction author, Isaac Asimov, stated, "Today's science fiction is tomorrow's science fact." This quote rings very true in the sense that science fiction grants us the power to predict the future. Through these fictitious texts, we gain valuable insight into significant issues and matters both known and unknown. Although upon original release, these texts remain a mere glimpse into seemingly impossible technologies and societies, the true beauty of the genre, is that over time, we can see a definite parallel between the predictions made by authors and reality. Essay on The Future of Nursing The Future of Nursing Ami Randall July 24, 2010 Upon considering the past and future of nursing, many changes have already taken place, and even larger changes are expected. With the recent rate of technological development, the heath care system is certain to follow in its advances at nearly the same pace. Many predictions for the future of medicine are based on computerized technology. The use of telemonitoring, video and "smart houses" are already being used by some companies today, and will be utilized more frequently in the future. This will enable one nurse to care for many more patients than he/she is capable of safely caring for currently. This is very important due to the baby– boomer generation growing older and the ... • 39. My Future Essay My future is something I often think about. Most often, the questions that arise include the common doubts of "Am I doing this right?", or even the occasional midnight philosophical questions such as "Why are we here?", and so on. For the purpose of this essay, I will focus on the factors that have allowed me to reach this point in my life and how these factors influenced and continue to influence me, in order to provide me with a visualization of my future. Factors that contributed to my current life choices include the desperate want to be something greater, as well as to experience the world in ways some could only dream of. I study hard, allowing for me to have the possibility of an early graduation. I dream big, allowing me with the imagination to draw up plans for myself and my future. I work hard, allowing me the strength and vision to execute my plans for the future. The way that I was raised has greatly benefited me. My parents have taught me that anything and everything is possible as long as you work hard for it despite the what others may tell you or even if the odds are against you. Another factor that led to my current life, is the amount of time I allow myself to think about my plans and refine them. This is extremely important because, without a solid, flexible, long–term plan, you could get lost in dreaming about the future, and end up not accomplishing anything. Hence, many aspects of my life have been planned out with not one or two possible alternatives ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
