Analysis Of Raisin In The Sun
Raisin in the Sun by Lorraine Hansberry Raisin in the Sun is a play on Broadway that tells about a
tragedy faced by an African American. The play is about Youngers family that lives in the ghetto and
one that is at crossroads following the death of Younger s father. Mother Lena Younger and her
children reside in a cramped apartment in a poverty stricken district in Chicago. Her grown up
children include Water Lee and Beneatha. The life insurance that matured following the death of Lena
s husband earns the family ten thousand dollars, and everybody is eagerly waiting for the full
payment. The question that the entire family is faced with is whether the money should be invested in
supporting studies of her daughter through the medical school, the business deal with the sons, or
other dreams. The family is faced with conflicts, particularly amongst the siblings as they seek to
establish whose dream is superior. It becomes more difficult for Lena to make the right decision in the
midst of the conflict because her wish is to please everyone. The play is about the black family that
struggles with racial prejudice and economic hardship. The underlying importance of the play is in the
way it shows the value of dreams, importance of family, and racial discrimination. The further one
gets in reading the play, the more there is to learn about the Youngers. The vision and dream of all the
Younger family is one of either making or breaking the family based on their independent choices.
Though each member of Younger family had a dream, the dreams were distinct from each other. The
dream of Mama was that of owning a nice house that has a beautiful backyard just like they wished
with the husband. Mama felt that her dream was helpful to her entire family because they would be
able to take good care of Travis and make him grow up to become a great man in the neighborhood.
The only person that thought about the family was Lena. Ruth, on the other hand, was not a member
of the blood family but always wanted the best for everyone. Ruth s dream rhymed with that of Lema.
Her wish was to have a happy family and to achieve that she wished to have a better place to live.
Unfortunately, her dream was deferred due to lack of money that

Leadership Style Of Warren Buffet Essay
Leadership Style Warren Buffet is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Berkshire Hathaway
(http://www.berkshirehathaway.com), a holding company for several businesses (Berkshire Hathaway,
n.d.). Fortune Editors (2014) named Warren Buffett number four on The World s 50 Greatest Leaders
(2014) list for his leadership techniques with his 300,000 employees. Buffett is also a proponent for
philanthropy and earmarks Berkshire Hathaway shares to distribute to several foundations annually
(Berkshire Hathaway Inc., n.d.). In 2014, Buffett led his followers with a hands off style empowering
his managers to act as owners (Fortune Editors, 2014). However, Buffett did not begin his career with
a hands off style; his leadership techniques evolved as he became a seasoned CEO. Over time, Buffett
shifts from a unilateral power to a mutual power (Kelly, 2013). Unilateral Power Kelly (2013)
segments Buffett s leadership transition into seven stages: opportunist, diplomat, expert, achiever,
individualist, strategist, and alchemist. During the first four stages, Buffett concerned himself with
growing his investment and not on the impact of the organization s reputation, employees welfare, or
community and is why this category is unilateral power (Kelly, 2013). In the early 1960 s, his
transactional leadership style tarnished his reputation following the sale of Dempster Mill (Kelly,

Charter School Advantages
The Advantage of Charter Schools
A charter school is an openly funded, self sufficient school, entrenched by teachers, parents, or
community groups under the terms of a charter or with provincial or domestic jurisdiction. Charter
schools were established over twenty years ago. They have expanded rapidly during the last decade.
(Barbour, 2013) The US Department of Education has contributed grants to support charter school
efforts. Charter schools should be considered by every parent before enrolling a student in school due
to their advanced curriculum program, smaller student population, and organizational establishment.
Many students have enhanced from the intemperate curriculum that charter schools provide. Teachers
and administrators can engage in their own teaching mechanism. Teachers at charter schools have the
capability to establish teaching methods that generate an improved understanding for students.
Teachers are also allowed to utilize an individual based method if need be versus the public s school
strict teaching guidelines. Public or traditional schools adhere to a strict curriculum for lessons and
academic content taught in a school that s designated for a specific course or program. It was a totally
different atmosphere upon transferring my son from a charter school to a public school. The difference
in the two schools were unquestionably self evident. The charter school provided a wide variety of
foundational elements. Upon transferring to a public school,

Editing critique of Tery Zwigoff s Ghostworld Essay
Editing Critique of Terry Zwigoff s Ghost World nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; In order for a film to be successful
many different elements must be taken into consideration even before beginning to shoot. The tone of
the piece, what sort of lighting will be used, the location of the shots, and a palette for the film, are all
elements that need to be considered before the actual filmmaking begins. However, even with rigorous
planning, questions will still arise during shooting, questions that might not even be apparent or
answered until the footage reaches the editing room. However, many shortcomings in shooting can be
solved through editing. In fact, with good editing pretty much any type of footage can be made into a

The camera cuts away in the middle of this action, leaving the bag theoretically floating somewhere in
mid space. The next scene, however, begins with Enid grabbing the bag off of a table where she sitting
with her best friend Rebecca. The result is the feeling one single motion: the bag leaving Seymour s
hands and entering Enid s. This idea of continuous motion reoccurs several times during the film
helping the viewer connect scenes as well as ideas. Across screen movement is another technique used
to smooth edit points in the film. Often a person or group of people walking across the screen will act
as a wipe, pushing the last scene off while introducing the next. Most of the time the wipe is an
insignificant character such as a jogger or a car driving by. Human wipes are also used within scenes
to lead camera movement. A great example of this is Enid s art opening scene. In this scene the camera
uses one continuous shot to move from the outside of the gallery to the room where Enid s piece is
hanging. However this movement is not done in a single motion. Through out this movement the
camera pauses three times, each time motivated to move again by a group of people walking in front
of the camera in the same direction. This makes the movement of the camera surprisingly subtle. nbsp;
Ghost World also uses editing as a means of establishing time and building relationships between
characters. Sequential

King Embodied Stories
In my piece Embodied Stories I am proposing to illustrate through photographed portraits Thomas
king s The Truth About Stories. This will depict the relationship between people and the stories that
influence them.Thomas King discusses the importance of stories, and how their power can influence
not just a single person but also an entire population. People s ability to be tainted by stories starts as
early as childhood. These aren t limited to bedtime tales, but by their parents lives, and how they see

Most of the work I have created have circled around the theme of identity. I have done this in several

Dear Mr. Fielding,
I am writing to provide you with information in relation to the personal injury claim that you want to
bring against Shopping Village Limited Company. First of all, I will repeat the facts in order to make
sure of my knowledge of the incident. Then, as you have previously expressed your concern about the

You also implied that all of these symptoms are making your work as an accountant more difficult as
you have to look at complicated figures for most of the time. Based on these facts along with the
information you have provided in the questionnaire, you decided to bring up a personal injury claim
for the recovery of these losses. You have specifically expressed your concern about paying the fees of
our firm. Therefore, I will now provide all the possible funding methods related to your claim and
identify the most suitable one.
Funding Methods:
There are numerous ways which you can use to fund your personal injury claim;
1) Conditional Fee Agreements (CFAs): A CFA is a legal funding arrangement in which you do not
have to pay for my basic charges as your solicitor if your claim is unsuccessful. In other words, the
fees are only payable if your case is won. In the event of a successful claim, you will have to pay your
own costs for the case and a success fee. Success fee will be calculated as a percentage based on the
costs paid by the defendant and this percentage will be decided prior to the case. The success fee must
be paid from the compensation that you have received. As this is a personal injury claim, the
maximum success fee deduction that can be made from your compensation is 25%. On the other hand,
if you lose the case, there will be no success fee payments but you will be required to pay for your
own disbursements as well as for the legal expenses of

TECHNOLOGY PLANS Technology plan is expected for an organization. Technology Plan will
present the accurate management of resources according to the main concern. Creating something new
can be termed as innovation. There are different kinds of innovation models. Innovation models are
very important as these plays a major part in the growth of technology plan. Innovation will profile the
process. The technology push and need pull are the two necessary words of Innovation Process. In
technology push, new opportunity is coming out from research works. Need pull is the mother of
innovation. It means that market will request the need of something new. In a fact state both the
technology push and need pull should be the same. The relations of both the variables should be equal.
Innovation is a difficult process. Most innovation starts with some problems like confused, false starts,

American Hurricane
A strong hurricane normally has three factors that make it so destructive, Death, Destruction and the

factors, but what factors made the hurricane s impact so powerful, and what was the impact like The
first of three hurricanes that had a large effect on the New England area is considered a strong
hurricane for three particular reasons. The conditions that made it so powerful, the absurd amount of
human error in a weather system almost riddled with ignorance and the blunt and forceful impact it
had on an unexpecting region. To explain the first condition that made the storm a hurricane, one must
go to the Cape Verde Islands (youtube). The islands sit near a one hundred and twenty foot deep pool
of warm water(youtube). Warm water, being a necessity when creating a hurricane makes it obvious
why this hurricane along with so many others, are formed here(youtube). The hurricane then traveled
across the atlantic, all that time gaining strength hit long island as a category three hurricane( the great

Donald Trump Persuasive Speech
If you told me in 2002 that 15 years later, Donald Trump would be our President, Kid Rock would be
running for Senate, and Eminem would become a celebrity spokesperson for human rights, I would
have laughed you out of the room. This sounds more like content for a Saturday Night Live skit than
reality. But here we are; truth really is stranger than fiction.
A few days ago, well known rapper Eminem (Marshall Mathers) voiced some rage towards Donald
Trump. He did so in the form of a 4.5 minute freestyle rap called The Storm which aired on the BET
Hip Hop Awards. If you are familiar with Eminem, it won t surprise you that there is a fair amount of
vulgarity and graphic imagery in the video. So, proceed with caution to the link above. While Mr.
Mathers covers a bit of ground in his video, I want to focus on the major reoccurring theme of the
video: racism. Despite its popularity, The Storm does more harm than good towards resolving
problems of racism in our country.
In some of the most vitriolic lines, Eminem blasts President Trump as a racist 94 year old grandpa .
Using almost battle like language, he demands his fans to decide who you like more Eminem or
President Trump. Unsure what to think? Well, he speaks directly to the undecided crowd: if you can t
decide who you like more and you re split on who you should stand beside, I ll do it for it for you with
this.
He then makes an obscene gesture towards the camera.
The Storm video is unfair to Trump, his supporters,

Causes Of The Montgomery Bus Boycott
The Montgomery bus boycott, a seminal event in the Civil Rights Movement, was a political and
social protest campaign against the policy of racial segregation on the public transit system of
Montgomery, Alabama. The campaign lasted from December 5, 1955 which was the Monday after
Rosa Parks, an African American woman, was arrested for refusing to surrender her seat to a white
person to December 20, 1956, when a federal ruling, Browder v. Gayle, took effect, and led to a
United States Supreme Court decision that declared the Alabama and Montgomery laws requiring
segregated buses to be unconstitutional. Many important figures in the Civil Rights Movement took
part in the boycott, including Reverend Martin Luther King Jr. and Ralph Abernathy. Events leading
up to the bus boycott. Prior to the bus boycott, Jim Crow laws enabled the racial segregation of the
Montgomery Bus Line. As a result of this segregation African Americans were not hired as drivers,
were forced to ride in the back of the bus, and were frequently ordered to surrender their seats to white
people even though black passengers made up 75% of the bus system s riders. The boycott also took
place within a larger statewide and national movement for civil rights, including court cases such as
Morgan v. Virginia, the earlier Baton Rouge bus boycott, and the arrest of Claudette Colvin. This civil
right movement had a lot to do with The Help . The montgomery bus boycott was all about the first

There is no place for any form of harassment or discrimination in an Army that claims to Be the Best .
Discrimination damages teams; it excludes members and does not give them a chance to contribute.

Shaken Infant Syndrome Essay
Shaken Infant Syndrome
Shaken Infant Syndrome (also known as Shaken Baby Syndrome, SBS) is a relatively new term in the
medical world. Simply put, it is the collective name of the symptoms produced when an infant is
shaken violently or has sustained some type of head trauma. Any type of trauma to the head or cranial
region results in some negative response to the body s homeostatic system, in an infant or child this is
especially true. An infant or child s skull is disproportionately larger than that of a fully developed
adult. This usually results in a higher susceptibility to head and neck injury.
To understand how SBS effects the human body s homeostatic system it must first be established what

Extra axial hemorrhages indicate that these injuries occur outside the substance of the brain itself.
Other injuries that can occur are damage to the neck, spine, and possible retinal hemorrhages or
detachment.
Extradural, subdural, and subarachnoid hemorrhages are best understood by reviewing the anatomy of
the meninges. The meninges are divided into three layers: the dura mater, arachnoid layer, and pia
mater. The dura mater lines the inner surfaces of the skull and forms partial divisions in the cortex of
the brain. The dura mater is attached to the skull, particularly at the cranial sutures of the bones that
make up the skull. In infants and small children this attachment has not yet taken place. The space
between the skull and the dura mater is the extradural space. A hemorrhage into this space is referred
to as an extradural hemorrhage. These hemorrhages are usually the result of a tear in a meningeal
artery.
An extradural hemorrhage is more prevalent in small children because the dura mater lining has not
yet firmly attached itself to the junctures in the skull. When the head snaps back and forth the brain
will bounce off the skull. This causes bruising or tearing to the dura mater or the meningeal artery.
When the body recognizes that bruising has occurred the body s natural healing abilities take effect.
The first thing that the body will do will be to release histamines to increase to permeability of the

Social Security Trust Vs. Privatization
Social Security Trust v. Privatization
Debates over Social Security have been ongoing since its inception in 1935 until today. The trend
seems to be toward an increasing percentage of the American public, across party and demographic
lines, in favor of strengthening Social Security funding, and a willingness to pay more to preserve and
even improve benefits. However, the trend towards privatization of Social Security is also on the rise.
What is not clear is whether Americans favor privatization because of fears that the Social Security
Trust Fund is living on borrowed time.
The Social Security Act (SSA) of 1935 was drafted during the Great Depression as part of President

physician coverage to the elderly and disabled. In 2003, Congress added a prescription drug benefit to

have advocated for privatizing Social Security, even though Americans are in favor of Social Security

The American public strongly supports Social Security, across party and demographic lines. A January

being next to godliness, and in a way, the people who work here are our rulers. The subject of the art
that I observed had a theme of peace, war, nobility, and discovery. The first statue I saw was a large
monument made of bronze and marble. The monument featured Ulysses S. Grant, James A. Garfield,
Phillip Sheridan, William T.

Trickster-God-Creator
Tricksters appear in the mythology and folklore of many cultures around the world. Although the
power and relative divinity of each Trickster varies from tradition to tradition, Tricksters have
important roles in the creation, development, and sometimes destruction, of each culture. The Coyote
of Native North American traditions is often depicted as assisting the Great Mystery or Great Spirit in
the creating and populating of the world (Leeming). In the Greek myths Hermes is initially a sly infant
who captures a tortoise with his untruths and fashions the first lyre from its shell, but eventually
transitions to a place amongst the Olympic pantheon as the messenger of the gods. In the Norse myths
of the Scandinavian countries, Loki is a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Coyote is sometimes purely self concerned, such as in the Sioux story of Coyote, Iktome, and the
Rock (Leeming 50 2), providing the subject for cautionary morality tales. He is also often the victim
of his own pride, such as his attempt to stay awake by propping open his eyes in order to be the first to
arrive at Spirit Chief s lodge at dawn and receive a new name. Coyote falls asleep anyway, retains his
name, and creates a permanent slant in his eyes (Dove 17 26). At other times, however, Coyote is
selfless and miraculous. In the tale of Montezuma and Coyote in Canoes, from the Papago tradition of
Arizona, after the Great Mystery has made the earth, and people have been made to populate it, led by
Montezuma, Coyote comes to the great leader of men and instructs the chief to build a canoe.
Montezuma doesn t understand why he would need a canoe, but before long a flood of Biblical
magnitude washes away the land, and only Coyote and Montezuma survive to lead the new people the
Great Mystery creates to repopulate (Leeming 110 11). It would seem easier to allow even the chief to
perish in the flood if Coyote really is purely the self important Trickster so often depicted, but he
seems intuitively to know that Montezuma will be a better leader to teach the people all the things
they would need to know to survive (111). Similarly, in the story of Coyote and the Footrace, Coyote
allows his own son to be killed in order to teach the rituals for burial of the dead

Usually, most payday loan companies provide a cost breakdown per 100 dollar increments that
coincide with the rate.
Furthermore, most payday loan fees are based on the duration of the cash advance. The standard APR
for most companies falls into the 400 percent range. As an example, suppose you were to borrow $100
at a fee of $20 for a 2 week period and if you did not pay if for a year, your service charge would be

The Superhero Genre Is Classified By A Fight Of Good Vs. Evil
The superhero genre is classified by a fight of good vs. evil. The heroes and the villains are complex
characters driven by motives that are not always black and white. Besides dealing with fictional
characters, superhero comic books often incorporate real life difficulties, such as racism, sexism, and
drug use. The storylines are driven by the superheroes fight against the forces of evil, but the
underlying story often deals with conflicting moral dilemmas and self doubt. The superheroes have
secret identities and strut around in colorful costumes, but behind these personas, lay a story of
triumph and defeat. The true appeal of comics is not the colorful character who follows it but the dark,
gritty storylines that cause the reader to view the world and humanity in a new light. In Batman #134 ,
written in 1960 by Bill Finger, a few of these requirements are addressed. This comic follows Batman
and Robin s adventure in an undisclosed South American republic. The major conflict lies with a man
named Diaz, who releases a monster known as The Rainbow Creature. This creature terrorizes the
village until Batman uses his world class detective skills to defeat the beast. The storyline is quickly
wrapped up in a span of nine pages, and the childish tone of the comic causes the intrigue of the story
to be lost on the reader. On the other hand, Batman: Ego, written by Darwyn Cooke in 2000, deals
with the harsh atmosphere of Gotham. The comic tells the story of a wounded Batman and

Newsies. Newsies is a phenomenal Broadway production. Fun fact it was released as The News Boys

Kenny Ortega. Newsies is based loosely on the New York City Newsboy Strike of 1899, and features
twelve original songs from composers Alan Menken and J.A.C Redford. The stars are Christian Bale,
David Moscow, Bill Pullman, Robert Duvall, and Ann Margret. Another fact is it was the first

The data showed that 31 participants had opened the survey however, a total of 5 participant s surveys

prevent the possibility of skewing the results thus making the results invalid. This left a total 26

also many questions that indicated a strong inter item correlation in having a significant positive
correlation to each other ranging from .300 to 1.00. This shows an amount of reliability between
items. This shows that the test sample did have a level of content validity, which means that the items
on the test represent the entire range of possible items that the test should cover. The researcher found
that his Cronbach s Alpha was .749, which, is reasonably high and high enough to be considered valid
(above .700). This means that the CHS had enough validity in its analysis to measure a person s
overall level of happiness compared to other participants. Based on the demographic information that
was collected, there were many more women then men who took the survey. The demographic
information also concluded that there was many more Caucasian that took the survey compared to
other ethnicities. Both of these problems could have reduced the amount of validity of the researcher s
analysis. The researcher however, did not separate respondents statistics based on demographic
because it was not deemed essential in measuring a person s overall level happiness. Discussion The

My Personal And Professional Branding
Critical Elements My personal and professional branding are the same: being passionate about not
limiting myself by my thoughts or actions, I am here to push the boundaries with those around me.
This may sound simple, but there is a lot that goes into it. Building a network of strong, confident
people is the key to being successful. My goal is to keep building these professional relationships as
well as in my personal life with the help of social media and goal setting. For my professional
branding, I am seeking others who are successful in the digital advertising industry. If I am able to
connect with these individuals, it will help to make me more successful by learning from them.
However, I want our relationship to go both ways, we learn from each other and communicate openly.
If I know my client works with a network, I am unable to connect with hopefully they can get me in
the door and I can give them the referral business. My personal branding is very similar. I want to
surround myself with people who are motivated or have positivity as a goal. If they need
encouragement, I am there to help them. The stronger and more successful they become, the better I
feel about myself. Someday, they will help to encourage me to never stop being the best I can be. It is
give and take. Working on my social media networking opens up more doors. I use LinkedIn,
Facebook, Twitter and Instagram as my main platforms. LinkedIn works great for my professional
branding, without it I

Essay on The Ghost
Night in the country came like a cloak so that everything outside disappeared. No street lights and a
new moon, whose light couldn t penetrate the many trees, may have had something to do with that.
From any window, the only thing Nate saw when he looked outside was a thick blanket of black and
the occasional flare of a firefly. At nine p.m. he excused himself from his grandparents company as
they watched Secrets of the Dead in their sitting room. He had some dead people s secrets to uncover

They landed on top of each other in a straight line about six feet in length. Shock and fear glued Nate
to the bed as the stacking continued until he had to look up to see the last rows. Some unseen force
now directed more books to leave their box and form a new line, connecting to the first row at a thirty
degree angle. The thumping noise softened as the stack rose higher into the air. Another pile of books
soon stretched over Nate s head. The new stack was only a fourth the length of the first row but just as
high. Eerily, Nate s bedroom door opened with the crack he had come to expect from the old
hardware. But never would he have imagined the line of books that floated through the door like they
were dangling from invisible strings. The set of encyclopedias he recognized from the library drifted
over to the first stack and began a third line, angled at thirty degree again so that it made an upside
down V with the other angled line. The new row also stopped at one fourth the length of the original
row. More books crowned the stack until it reached as high as the first two rows. Nate sat unmoving,
hardly breathing and hardly able to believe his eyes. But it seemed the last row of books put an end to
the construction. No more books floated through the door or from boxes. The room was quiet as Nate
eyed the partition of books piled two feet from him. He scooted across the bed to the opposite side and
cautiously tested the floor, afraid

Volunteering is one of the many ways to give back to a community and the people within it. When a
person volunteers it is normally because he or she wants to repay the community in which he or she

relationships with people within that community. Lending a hand to someone in need is something
that should be identified as an important task, rather than being understood as a burden. Whether it is

When the contractual interest rate and the market interest rate are the same, the bonds are sold at face

usually sold below or above face value. If the market rate of interest is lower than the contractual

When a company issues 12% bonds at a time when other bonds of similar risk are paying 15%. Most
investors will be more interested in buying the 12% bonds and their value will fall below their face

A company should comply with the matching principle, which shows that bond discounts should be
allocated systematically to each accounting period benefiting from the use of cash proceeds. The
straight line method of amortization of bond discount allocates the same amount to interest expense
each interest period. By using this formula: Bond Discount divided by Number of Interest Periods

In 1968 the Supreme Court case Menominee v. US aided the cause in ruling that states could not
interfere with hunting and fishing rights on the Indians land which had been secured in previous
treaties. In addition, settlements were made in the 1970s that paid damages to tribes whose land had
been illegally seized by whites. However, there were still other issues that needed to be solved during
this time. The most important issues were those of social rights, self autonomy, and cultural freedom.
These were, however, more difficult tasks. Congress played the primary role in these situations
because of its legislature regarding Native American tribes. Public Law 280, passed in August of
1953, gave power to the states to take over civil and criminal jurisdiction. Because of this, the tribes
were at a loss in authority to regulate themselves. In addition, President Lyndon B. Johnson urged for
the termination of Indian programs for self determination during his term in 1968. Despite these
setbacks, legislature was passed that was beneficial to Native Americans. In June of 1924, Congress
granted citizenship to all Native Americans who were not yet citizens. This was a step towards social

Essay about My Childhood Home
The fleeting changes that often accompany seasonal transition are especially exasperated in a child s
mind, most notably when the cool crisp winds of fall signal the summer s end approaching. The lazy
routine I had adopted over several months spent frolicking in the cool blue chlorine soaked waters of
my family s bungalow colony pool gave way to changes far beyond the weather and textbooks. As the
surrounding foliage changed in anticipation of colder months, so did my family. My mother s stomach

I had violent, grass stained war games with my neighborhood friends, while my mother worked in her
small vegetable garden among the honeybees, and watched things grow. An ever present warming

summer sky looked like an Easter egg God had dipped in blue dye.
Those warm summer nights after long days of camp were greatly anticipated events back then. My
cousin and I itched with repressed energy throughout the long bus ride from various tri state area

was better than all of these, better even than sliding down those stairs on rug burned bottoms.

Relationship Between Animals And Human Culture
When was the last time you were down on your knees, worshipping a cat? What about burning a
sacred goat as a gift for the gods? In our contemporary American culture, you may not see very much
of this, but believe it or not, it was a vital part of some cultures in ancient societies. Throughout
history, animals have appeared to be a significant component of culture, either economically,
religiously, spiritually, mythically, and other ways. Animals are of high significance and importance to
culture, and without their rich symbolic essence, perhaps various cultures would have died out. In this
essay, I will explore the tightly bonded relationship between animals and human cultures through
multiple perspectives and practices around the world: in the Native American culture, Hindu religion,
ancient Egyptian society, and the worship of animals through sacrifice in ancient Greece. Native
Americans are notoriously known for obtaining a culture that is widely sustained off of both revering
and resourcefully using animals. Indigenous American tribes heavily relied upon animals for survival,
and without that ingenuity, their culture would have likely failed to survive. Animals had to be treated
properly because they could represent spirits, as well as plants which could give evidence of the
supernatural and the land which could reveal God. Tim Murphy, Ph.D., wrote in his essay, Probing the
Relationship between Native Americans and Ecology. Therefore, this closely bound relationship

a dominating force. The metro movement moves in a parallel to this as well. The majority rule now
appears to be a young, urban, environmentally conscious, culturally sensitive populace. Dell had a
primary focus on keeping a fact based relationship with their clients. The case clarifies that this
allowed them to treat their clients fairly. They even kept a very clean cut and dry model in the
corporate setting. This is a very efficient and productive way to guide business. This model can,
however, fall victim to the metaphor of the double edged sword. Being so cut and dry tends to give
you the appearance of a faceless corporation. In a revolution of go green and corporate compassion,
the face your corporation wears is its lifeblood. Dell had no focus on retail stores. They knew that the
profits were coming from the larger customers. As mentioned in the case it is hard to increase the
awareness of the product when it is not often seen in the retail world. How is the general public to
view your corporate face if they are unable to see it? Dell was careful to diversify their product line;
however they were not diversified in the distribution of the products.

Emotions In Okonkwo Apart In William Shakespeare s Nwoye
Because of the choices Okonkwo has made, he have affected his kids, wives, and also himself. As
soon as his father walked in, that night, Nwoye knew that Ikemefuna had been killed, and something
seemed to give away inside him, like the snapping of a tightened bow. He did not cry. He just hung
limp.(Chapter 7,pg.53) Although the old man told Okonkwo not to help kill his son, he still did and he
listened to the ancestors who told him to kill Ikemefuna. If it was really his son, would he have really
killed him based on what these spirits said, even if they are gods to them, if you genuinely care for
someone, you just don t kill them with no remorse and just because you were going to be thought of
having fear. However, Nwoye looked to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
That if everybody had a vote on who died that night, they would have chosen you over Maddy?
(Chapter 27,pg.191) Ella doesn t understand the pain she put josh and her friends through all because
she thought no one loved her and they would pick Maddy over her. She never really looked at it the
other way and seen if she was alive, she could still live her regular life and let her sister sleep in peace
without her trying to be Maddy. Josh states a point that Ella will never understand, yet she looks
around it. That s not true, Ella said. There was no way that could be true. Mom adored Maddy. She
went to her field hockey games, every one of them. She had pictures of Maddy lining her bureau and
went out of her way to buy the healthy crap MAddy insisted on eating. Are you saying that if she had
a choice, your mom would ve chosen your sister, over you? If you honestly believe that, then you re
an idiot. (Chapter 27,pg.193) Ella doesn t seem to realize the jealousy in the tone when she goes on
and on about how Maddy was more loved and how her mom did love her more. However, all of the
examples Ella listed were true, only because Maddy updated her parents on what was happening in her
life and let her mom take picture of her and Ella never did any of those things, but keep secrets from
her parents, locked away. Ella doesn t want to take the chance to believe Josh because she knows he s
right and she still believes that she should

Jonathan Haidt s Hard Times
In the book Hard Times (1856/1995), by Charles Dickens, the citizens of Coketown are faced with
moral situations. The characters have caused emotional harm to others or themselves due to their
decisions. Most of the replies to these moral dilemmas are based on how selfish or selfless these
characters. They can only choose between the choices that value the other people or value themselves.
Two characters that make these decisions are Stephen, a worker at the Hand in Coketown, and Louisa,
the daughter of a teacher in the town. Some of their choices may seem questionable to others. But
most of them can be explained in Jonathan Haidt s book The Righteous Mind. In his book, Haidt
explains about the six moral foundations, two of them ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Us humans are selectively fair to those that have a positive relationship with us and those who have a
negative relationship towards us are known as cheaters.
Cheating
The association between Stephen and his wife is a solid example of the cheating rudiment. He is
making dishonest choices because he does not have a healthy relationship with his wife anymore.
After meeting an old woman, Stephen started thinking about Racheal: He thought of the number of
girls and women she had seen marry...how she had contentedly pursued her own lone quite path for
him. (p.82) When we love someone, we tend to think often about the person we have feelings for. He
is cheating on his wife because he is fantasizing about Racheal instead of his current wife. Later, his
wife was about to drink poison until Racheal came to save her from it. Before drinking the poison,
Stephen s wife passes Stephen, who appears to be asleep. But it turned out that All this time, as if a
spell were on him, he was motionless and powerless, except to watch her. Stephen wasn t asleep.
Rather than saving her from accidentally poisoning, Stephen decided to do nothing but watch her fall
into her death. This is cheating because he would rather have her dead than preventing him from
having a marriage with Racheal. He would sacrifice her only for his satisfaction. Before this event,
Stephen tells Mr. Bounderby that his relationship goes From bad to worse, from worse to worsen. She

The play is about Youngers family that lives in the ghetto and one that is at crossroads following the death of Younger s father. Mother Lena Younger and her children reside in a cramped apartment in a poverty stricken district in Chicago. Her grown up children include Water Lee and Beneatha. The life insurance that matured following the death of Lena s husband earns the family ten thousand dollars, and everybody is eagerly waiting for the full payment. The question that the entire family is faced with is whether the money should be invested in supporting studies of her daughter through the medical school, the business deal with the sons, or other dreams. The family is faced with conflicts, particularly amongst the siblings as they seek to establish whose dream is superior. It becomes more difficult for Lena to make the right decision in the midst of the conflict because her wish is to please everyone. The play is about the black family that struggles with racial prejudice and economic hardship. The underlying importance of the play is in the way it shows the value of dreams, importance of family, and racial discrimination. The further one gets in reading the play, the more there is to learn about the Youngers. The vision and dream of all the Younger family is one of either making or breaking the family based on their independent choices. Though each member of Younger family had a dream, the dreams were distinct from each other. The dream of Mama was that of owning a nice house that has a beautiful backyard just like they wished with the husband. Mama felt that her dream was helpful to her entire family because they would be able to take good care of Travis and make him grow up to become a great man in the neighborhood. The only person that thought about the family was Lena. Ruth, on the other hand, was not a member of the blood family but always wanted the best for everyone. Ruth s dream rhymed with that of Lema. Her wish was to have a happy family and to achieve that she wished to have a better place to live. Unfortunately, her dream was deferred due to lack of money that ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Often a person or group of people walking across the screen will act as a wipe, pushing the last scene off while introducing the next. Most of the time the wipe is an insignificant character such as a jogger or a car driving by. Human wipes are also used within scenes to lead camera movement. A great example of this is Enid s art opening scene. In this scene the camera uses one continuous shot to move from the outside of the gallery to the room where Enid s piece is hanging. However this movement is not done in a single motion. Other injuries that can occur are damage to the neck, spine, and possible retinal hemorrhages or detachment. The meninges are divided into three layers: the dura mater, arachnoid layer, and pia mater. The dura mater lines the inner surfaces of the skull and forms partial divisions in the cortex of the brain. The dura mater is attached to the skull, particularly at the cranial sutures of the bones that make up the skull. In infants and small children this attachment has not yet taken place. The space between the skull and the dura mater is the extradural space. A hemorrhage into this space is referred to as an extradural hemorrhage. These hemorrhages are usually the result of a tear in a meningeal artery. An extradural hemorrhage is more prevalent in small children because the dura mater lining has not yet firmly attached itself to the junctures in the skull. When the head snaps back and forth the brain will bounce off the skull. This causes bruising or tearing to the dura mater or the meningeal artery. In the tale of Montezuma and Coyote in Canoes, from the Papago tradition of Arizona, after the Great Mystery has made the earth, and people have been made to populate it, led by Montezuma, Coyote comes to the great leader of men and instructs the chief to build a canoe. Montezuma doesn t understand why he would need a canoe, but before long a flood of Biblical magnitude washes away the land, and only Coyote and Montezuma survive to lead the new people the Great Mystery creates to repopulate (Leeming 110 11). It would seem easier to allow even the chief to perish in the flood if Coyote really is purely the self important Trickster so often depicted, but he seems intuitively to know that Montezuma will be a better leader to teach the people all the things they would need to know to survive (111). The heroes and the villains are complex characters driven by motives that are not always black and white. Besides dealing with fictional characters, superhero comic books often incorporate real life difficulties, such as racism, sexism, and drug use. The storylines are driven by the superheroes fight against the forces of evil, but the underlying story often deals with conflicting moral dilemmas and self doubt. The superheroes have secret identities and strut around in colorful costumes, but behind these personas, lay a story of triumph and defeat. The true appeal of comics is not the colorful character who follows it but the dark, gritty storylines that cause the reader to view the world and humanity in a new light. In Batman #134 , written in 1960 by Bill Finger, a few of these requirements are addressed. This comic follows Batman and Robin s adventure in an undisclosed South American republic. The major conflict lies with a man named Diaz, who releases a monster known as The Rainbow Creature. This creature terrorizes the village until Batman uses his world class detective skills to defeat the beast. The storyline is quickly wrapped up in a span of nine pages, and the childish tone of the comic causes the intrigue of the story to be lost on the reader. On the other hand, Batman: Ego, written by Darwyn Cooke in 2000, deals with the harsh atmosphere of Gotham. The comic tells the story of a wounded Batman and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Survey On The Forrester Happiness Survey The researcher hypothesized that participants who scored higher on the Cooley Happiness Survey (CHS) lived happier lives then those who had lower scores. The thumping noise softened as the stack rose higher into the air. Another pile of books soon stretched over Nate s head. The new stack was only a fourth the length of the first row but just as high. Eerily, Nate s bedroom door opened with the crack he had come to expect from the old hardware. The new row also stopped at one fourth the length of the original row. More books crowned the stack until it reached as high as the first two rows. In our contemporary American culture, you may not see very much of this, but believe it or not, it was a vital part of some cultures in ancient societies. Throughout history, animals have appeared to be a significant component of culture, either economically, religiously, spiritually, mythically, and other ways. Animals are of high significance and importance to culture, and without their rich symbolic essence, perhaps various cultures would have died out. In this essay, I will explore the tightly bonded relationship between animals and human cultures through multiple perspectives and practices around the world: in the Native American culture, Hindu religion, ancient Egyptian society, and the worship of animals through sacrifice in ancient Greece. Native Americans are notoriously known for obtaining a culture that is widely sustained off of both revering and resourcefully using animals. Indigenous American tribes heavily relied upon animals for survival, and without that ingenuity, their culture would have likely failed to survive. Animals had to be treated properly because they could represent spirits, as well as plants which could give evidence of the supernatural and the land which could reveal God.
