2. Actors
I will be using Dan Grevatt as my main actor because he has long hair and
will suit the rocker style.
I will be trying to create a “Being John Malkovich” effect throughout the
music video and I chose Dan because he has black hair which is the easiest
to recreate scenes where his face isn’t there. I also chose Dan because I
know that he can act to the levels that I need in the video and because he
is reliable to work with.
3. Clothing
My actors will wear cloths that suit rock music and to make sure that it is right I will
be basing my clothing on bands clothing and what type of clothing that is
stereotypically associated with the rock music genre. The clothing will consist of
leather jackets, worn jeans, old tattered shoes, plain white t-shirts or bright tight t-
shirts. I will also need clothing stereotypically associated with being old for the
scene where Dan meets his future self. The clothing is really important because the
mise-en-scene is what people pay attention too to understand the video more
clearly and so that its genre can be identified quickly.
4. Props
The main props I need are musical instruments such as guitars drums and
base and all the instruments I will use will either be mine or ones borrowed
from friends.
I will also be using a mobility scooter in the scene where Dan meets his
elder self because it will add to comedic effect as well as the authenticity.
I will be using other props from cars to cups but they will play very little
part in this video.
