 Only one page is used for the content page and only some editorial items are listed.
 There‟s only 5sections in the content pages and their listed so that the most popular
one is at the top. This is because when the large majority of Billboards readership buy
and read the magazine , they will expect their favourite section which contains their
favourite article, to be at the top.

DETAILED ANALYSIS OF DPS
The piece of featured article that I have analysed is about two very famous and rich record producers, that are brothers and that
they have created the most famous record label in all time. After 20years of hard work now they are offering their “universal deal”
and they are expecting to get “billions” of “dollars” for this because their record label is the most powerful label in the music
industry today. This piece of featured article isn't really structured in the normally as if it had a beginning, middle and end to the
context, and this is because this article is mostly about the two main pictures of the record producers and not the context. This is
why the main body of text is so small and the images are extremely large.
 The tone of this DPS is very dull dark and this is because of the dark background colours that have been used and the clothes
that they are wearing is very smart clothing. This is expected of these two producers of Cash Money. The mode of address is
very formal and clear to the point, this is because „Billboard‟ wants to build the awareness of Cash Money‟s success.
 This DPS targets their audience by using very dark and mundane colours to attract rap lovers to this article about music
producers who specialise in this genre. These colours are very important for this type of genre.
 The article has been laid out so that there is one little column which contains some text and two very large images with a
caption on top of one, and there is also a cover line above the text. The main colours of this featured article are very dark and
rough.
 The images consists of one close mid shot and one mid shot of the two producers. The first producer on the left of the DPS is
starring right at the camera because he wants to interact with the reader but the second producer on the left is looking
downwards and I think this is because he wants to show off his large collection of tattoos.
 The background of these images are very dark and old as if they took the pictures in an old building with its dirty rough walls
showing. This might portray what they life was like before they created this big record label. That is one hidden connotation of
this DPS.
 The two pictures of the producers have been taken at a difference place and they haven't been placed together so that they fit. I
could tell this from the different looking background of each of the images. This might be because they might not like being at the
same place at the same time and this might be because of the fact that their brothers but it also could be because of the fact that
they are so busy doing stuff that they had their shoots at different times.
 Mise-en-scen, slim who is the smaller featured artist who is standing up and looking straight at the readers while leaning back is
portraying his authority he has between the two of them in cash money records and also the power he has in the music industry
because he leaning back on a desk which makes him look very calm and collective. Birdman who is the bigger one is looking
downwards with his hand on his chin which makes him look like he's thinking about something as if he is the brains between the
two producers and that he makes cash money records work.

audiecne they are tring to target.

bit too large, they should have narrowed it down a little.
